We keep class sizes very small, provide additional support for all children who need it and give young people the space to develop at their own pace. Wherever possible, we involve the children in outdoor learning and give them more vocational options as they progress within the school. We go to great lengths to keep our children engaged and, if they are unable to get to school, then our teachers will take the lessons to them at home. The British Ju-Jitsu Association was originally founded in 1956 by Soke James Blundell (22/12/21 to 13/11/89) and was later re-constituted in 1988. It included other affiliated Ju-Jitsu associations from around Great Britain. Together, these clubs and associations approached the British Sports Council (now the UK Sports Council) to establish a single Governing Body for the Martial Art of Ju-Jitsu in this country and as a result, since 1993, the BJJA became the British Ju-Jitsu Association Governing Body, or BJJAGB. This Governing Body oversees all aspects of Ju-Jitsu in Great Britain such as, establishing codes of conduct, standard practises, competition formats and rules, arranging group insurance policies for clubs within the Association, and certification of teachers and competition referees as well as registration of new clubs. Sports Coaching certification for Martial Arts instructors is backed by the National Coaching Foundation, known as “Sports Coach UK”. It is through them that the BJJAGB is able to arrange for full Professional Indemnity insurance for all registered coaching instructors teaching Ju-Jitsu within the BJJAGB. As the independent voice of UK sport, the Sport Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the National Governing and Representative Bodies of sport and recreation in the UK. It speaks and acts to promote, protect and develop the interests of sport and physical recreation at all levels. The Sport Recreation Alliance is at the forefront of sports politics, providing support and services to those who participate in and administer sport and recreation and is completely independent of any form of Government control. They have no responsibility for allocating funds and are strictly non-party and will support or oppose proposed measures only on the basis of their perceived value to sport and recreation.

Be Mindful Fife is a very successful business providing health and well-being training courses/workshops and 1-2-1 coaching in the public, private and third sector of Scotland, such as Home Start, Fife Education, Fife Cultural Trust, NHS and Social Care staff, Scottish Ambulance Service, Police, St. Andrew University, Edinburgh University, and UK military veterans to name a few. The aim is to provide individuals and organisations with the education and practical resources to promote positive health and well-being and maintaining good mental health. Unfortunately, self-care is often said, occasionally understood and rarely practiced. Yet the stress and anxiety that many people experience in living and working could be better managed by establishing a personal self-care plan. That is why we have created workshops and courses on developing self-care. This can take the form of a preventative framework for maintaining existing positive health and well-being and good mental health. It can also empower those that need to manage change, stress, anxiety, depression, compassion fatigue and burnout etc. The aim of all our work is to enable participants to live fully and realise potential. Working with CAMHS, 2016-17 Bill (founder of Be Mindful Fife) was instrumental in creating and managing a Fife wide mindfulness programme for teachers, parents, and school children for Fife Education (Our Minds Matter). Working with five different mindfulness teaching organisations from Scotland, Be Mindful Fife played a key role in the co-creation of Mindful Nation Scotland and its launch in the Scottish Parliament in September 2019. Since 2019 Be Mindful Fife has also been a consultant writing content and offering insight for the development of mental health App for young people with Voxio (funded by Scottish Government and NHS Scotland).

Performers Theatre School was established in 2001 by Sam Donovan and Nick Rogers. Our studios are diagonally opposite the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool’s Hope Street. Alongside the excellent standard of training in Dance, Drama and Singing, all of our students are nurtured and cared for, from the very shy to the very confident. Children range from 2 and a half – 19 years and are taught in mixed classes and have the option to take exams (ISTD and LAMDA), compete in Festivals and perform in shows in our own Theatre as well as professional productions at the Liverpool Empire Theatre, Theatre Royal St Helens, Floral Pavillion New Brighton and Southport Theatre.
