TAPS is the national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources for all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. TAPS provides a variety of programs to survivors nationally and worldwide. Our National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp has been held annually in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend since 1994. TAPS also conducts regional survivor seminars for adults and youth programs at locations across the country, as well as retreats and expeditions around the world. Staff can get you connected to counseling in your community and help navigate benefits and resources. OUR WORK taps impact 2021 cover photo page 2 TAPS Impact Report 2021 In 2021, we connected with 9,246 newly bereaved loved ones, adding to the nearly 100,000 military survivors currently receiving support from TAPS. That was an average of 25 new survivors - every day. TAPS provides an array of programs, comfort, and resources for the families of the fallen. TAPS held over 930 events that welcomed and supported more than 15,000 participants. We answered over 15,700 calls, resolved over 6,459 casework challenges and connected military survivors with over $241 million dollars in education benefits. We shared our experience and expertise, conducting nearly 71 training sessions on grief, trauma, and suicide postvention nationwide and worldwide reaching over 8,300 individuals. In 2011, I discovered I had a spiritual gift that enabled me to connect with universal energy. This discovery came to me very quickly and without warning. My spiritual life previous to this had been non-existent. I was not attached to any religion, or had any visions, or felt anything. I was very content with my life. The universe clearly had other ideas for me and sent me a premonition of an accident that would happen to one of my daughters. The vision got to the point that I could clearly see life after the accident, and it was not a pleasant life at all. I made the decision to listen to the vision/warning and change course so the accident wouldn’t happen. This then raised questions for me as to where did that vision come from. Through some wonderful people around me I began my spiritual journey, learning about a whole new universe out there. I found I connected very easily and could tap into this wealth of support and wisdom. Although in many respects beautiful, this new world also opened up huge challenges for me. Family very dear to me challenged what I was experiencing and wanted to stop me practicing. I got very ill at the same time and had to battle every step of the way. I did not stop learning though, and it has been the spirituality, as well as sheer determination, that has healed me and got me to where I am today. I pursued my gift as a spiritual healer; holding circles with friends, becoming reiki attuned, healing with crystals, working with the angelic realms and giving readings. Then I went on a course about home healing through dowsing and Into The Light Property Healing was born. I now use my spiritual connection to alter energy in homes here on earth. It’s fantastic. If I couldn’t do it and get the results I have achieved, I wouldn’t believe it myself. This line of work is now my business and my life. I take my work very seriously, although I understand that many of my clients will never truly understand what I do. That’s ok, because it is the result that matters.

Hi, I’m Alison and I’m absolutely delighted to welcome you to Little Bees with Alison! Little Bees is founded and run by me, a mum of two and a primary school teacher of over 16 years, with a huge passion for Early Years Development. During my teaching career, I have specialised in and led Additional Learning Needs and Foundation Phase across the school. I was also identified as an ‘Outstanding Teacher’ and was one of only 8 teachers to be selected across SE Wales to particpate in an ‘Outstanding Teachers’ Programme. After a long battle with infertility, I finally achieved my dream of becoming a Mummy when Joseph was born in 2016. Three years later, we completed our family with Charlotte. I absolutely love teaching and have often thought about other ways I could use my skills whilst also having a positive impact on my local community. I had noticed firsthand the lack of groups for new parents in my local area and the idea of Little Bees started. Having experienced the impact massage had on my own little ones and our bonding, this was something I was excited to share with other new parents and carers. In 2019, I trained with Hands on Babies, the first UK baby massage and baby yoga training organisation to have received accreditation from the Royal College of Midwives for its courses. I enjoyed the massage course so much that upon gaining accreditation, I immediately set to work on completing the lovely yoga course! My mission with ‘Little Bees with Alison’ is to offer friendly and relaxing classes for all parents and carers in a supportive and non-competitive environment within their local community. As a new Mum, I was desperate to not only do lovely activities with my baby, but I was also keen to make new friends. This is exactly what I want to bring to my community with ‘Little Bees’. I completely understand the challenges new parents are going through and thought of supporting them brings me great joy. I am fully insured, DBS checked and have completed training to enable my classes to be ‘Covid-secure.’

ABOUT LEARN REIKI: Anna Rose has been teaching Reiki in Bristol since 2005, and has taught many hundreds of people on her unique transformational 12-week Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre in the heart of Bristol. For 7 years Anna taught these life-changing Reiki courses for Bristol Council’s Adult Learning Service, helping people on low incomes who faced physical, mental or emotional health challenges. Always described by students as a gifted and inspirational teacher, she gained a huge reputation in Bristol for her exceptional Reiki courses. When Council budget cuts forced the closure of local community classes, Anna’s students begged her to go on teaching so they could finish their courses. She agreed, and LEARN REIKI was born, as Anna continued to teach her Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre. Anna’s courses were usually oversubscribed by word of mouth recommendation, as people travelled from all over the city and further to join. Friends and family noticed the life affirming changes in our students, and hearing the secret of their transformation naturally wanted to learn this amazing skill for themselves. Anna’s policy is never to turn away anyone who wants to learn Reiki, because she knows people are only brought to Reiki when the time is right. So she had to run additional classes each term to meet the demand. In 2018 she decided the answer was to train other people to teach her transformational Reiki courses, so she began training Reiki Masters in the Anna Rose Reiki School. Today we have a thriving Reiki School with professional experienced teachers trained by Anna to teach her Reiki Level 1 & 2 courses just as she teaches them, using exactly the same techniques, resources and materials. All our teachers have spent over 2 years training to teach Anna’s unique 12-week Reiki programs, and learnt Reiki with us as students themselves. Now Anna personally trains our most advanced Level 3 students on the 1-year Reiki Master Chakra Course, supervises the training and development of our excellent teachers, and runs the Reiki School. Her passionate love of Reiki and dedication to transforming lives is evident in all our courses, and carried on today by the passion and dedication of our teachers.

Magenta Occupational Therapy is an independent occupational therapy practice based in the West Midlands, owned and operated by Louise Baudet. Louise graduated with a first class Honours degree in Occupational Therapy, with a special interest in working with children and young adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, as well as neurological difficulties. We are joining up to tackle all the things that affect our health and wellbeing, listen to the priorities of our communities, local people and patients and tackle some of the biggest challenges we are all facing. Integrated care is about removing traditional divisions between services so people and communities get the support and care that they need. Health and care services in Norfolk and Waveney have been working together closely over the past few years to improve services and provide more joined up care for local people. In Norfolk and Waveney, we have already achieved a lot by working in partnership; this has been strengthened through our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes have been made possible by different organisations – NHS hospitals, GPs, mental health and community health services, local councils, care homes and social workers, voluntary and community organisations and others – joining forces to agree and plan for local people’s needs. As a result of the new Health and Care Act, the Norfolk and Waveney ICS has legal status and includes a statutory Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), and a new Integrated Care Board (ICB) called NHS Norfolk and Waveney, which will replace the area’s clinical commissioning group (CCG). This is a new and exciting way of working, creating a genuine partnership that will make a positive difference to local people and help join up health and social care.
