London

The world was rocked by a global pandemic, with lockdowns making the digital experience more essential than ever. Undeterred, we rose to substantial challenges by transforming our office culture to utilize the benefits of remote working, developing new services, and securing business from London. Our doubling down on our philosophy helped us navigate this difficult period for our partners, as our work in 2020 led to us being named the number one agency in the UK for client satisfaction by The Drum, alongside a fourth consecutive year of recognition from Clutch. More of the UK’s leading businesses were drawn to our award-winning agency. We completed big projects for Adobe and the Paris Saint Germain Academy, while proudly bringing on key clients like The Cumberland Building Society and the British Woodworking Federation. So we focused on expanding our strong team. This included bringing in some of the region’s best talent in PPC, design, and content to deliver businesses the best results. While keeping our ears to the ground and working hard to stay ahead of the curve when it came to digital trends, we were hand-picked out of 1000 other agencies by the search engine gods at Google to participate in their prestigious Google Elevator program. This led us to land some of our biggest clients such as Money Supermarket and Merlin – and they were just the beginning … We worked all year with the UK’s most trusted brand, the AA, and expanded our offices with top new talent. At the same time, we celebrated our 10th anniversary in fine style – this included nominations in three categories for the Northern Digital Awards. New and innovative ad strategies are implemented, and we try our hand at sophisticated programmatic advertising and remarketing. Yikes! Never fear, as we further developed our performance-based lead generation model, whilst breaking sales records for clients such as Booths Supermarkets and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Warwick Law School, The University of Warwick

warwick law school, the university of warwick

Coventry

Established in 1968, now with over 1000 students and 70 full-time staff, we have evolved into one of the leading Law Schools in the UK. Our teaching standards and research quality consistently receive high ratings, and we maintain a strong research culture with all staff actively researching in their preferred areas. Over the last 40 years we have developed a contextual approach to legal education which avoids treating the law as if it can be separated from other aspects of society. Students examine the impact of economic, cultural and political change on law and consider how it affects life beyond the court-room and the lawyer's office, as well as studying legal judgments and statutes. We also pride ourselves on providing excellent teaching. A significant number of colleagues have received a Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence – Dallal Stevens in 2011, James Harrison in 2011, Gary Watt in 2009 and Paul Raffield in 2008; in addition, Philip Kaisary and Jane Bryan received commendations in 2015 and 2014 respectively, and James Harrison received the Butterworth Award for Teaching Excellence in 2011. A number of our postgraduate research students have also received the equivalent award – Tim Dodsworth in 2013 and Adam Slavny (now an Assistant Professor) in 2012, with Natalie Byrom being commended in 2014. A number of colleagues are fellows of the national Higher Education AcademyLink opens in a new window (HEA). The HEA has also awarded National Teaching Fellowships (NFT) to Paul Raffield and Gary Watt in recognition of their outstanding achievements in teaching. Since there are only 500 NTFs across the UK as a whole, and 9 at Warwick, we are proud to host two of them. We encourage a comparative and international perspective on law which influences our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Our staff and student body reflects this perspective, with students from twenty or more countries studying here at any one time, and teaching staff with varied backgrounds and extensive international experience or research interests.

Our mission is to empower young people, through education, to have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life and make a positive contribution to society. Our inclusive school culture is underpinned by the core values of compassion, collaboration and creativity. We believe that key to achieving our mission, is giving every single pupil a broad, balanced and ambitious academic curriculum, that has knowledge at its heart. The central place of knowledge acquisition within our curriculum is explicit and we provide rich and varied contexts for pupils to acquire, develop and apply this broad knowledge. Powerful knowledge takes a pupil beyond their own experience. It is knowledge that many will not have access to at home, amongst their friends or in the communities in which they live. We are all the inheritors of the great ideas, writings and discoveries of the past and the young people of Plymouth have a right to learn this knowledge. By learning our curriculum, we know that our pupils will be provided with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life and make that positive contribution to society. We take great pride that we continue to support every single pupil to successfully complete their education at Plymstock School in which it allows them to access the opportunities and make informed choices to pursue their personal and career aspirations. This includes continuing with their education, employment or training. This is also true at the highest academic level and we are delighted to frequently have pupils gain places at both Oxford and Cambridge University.

Ecole Nationale SupƩrieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre

ecole nationale supć©rieure des arts visuels de la cambre

Friends of La Cambre was created in 1979. A non-profit association, it organizes events and study trips, and helps support young graduates by creating an annual prize. Link to the document Voyage Henry van de Velde and the Bauhaus.pdf President's word “In any form of social life, the status of the artist provides a good criterion for evaluating the general state of culture. »John Dewey The idea of an association of Friends of La Cambre goes back to the foundation of the school which was then called the Higher Institute of Decorative Arts. We are in February 1928. The present association is more recent since it was born in 1979 with a similar object, to support the creation (the investigation) and the pedagogy of the school by its contribution in material and immaterial means. We have this ambition, to support students in carrying out exceptional projects, to support them, more modestly but no less necessarily, in carrying out experiments linked to the school's pedagogies. Other supports can be envisaged, of a social nature for example. What are the Friends of La Cambre made of? They are women and men who have the desire to be linked to the beginning of something that takes shape in the act of creation, who have the desire to offer their own means to its realization by being present because they believe in vita nova (there is creation only because there is life). They are women and men driven by intranquility, who know the fragility of the creative gesture. These are women and men who have decided to accompany the paths of expression, because are we ever sure to say, to show, what we want to say, to show? A school is first and foremost a place of meetings, experiments and therefore exchanges. The Friends of La Cambre can be a part of this place. They are able to bring this unique place that is the school into contact with other worlds, not to be their "sound echo", but to bring something different.

After leaving the UK in 2010 and embarking on a backpacking trip to Indonesia alone spending 12 days in the forest with three local guides. Wanda, Bendy and Ping yes that was their names travelling through the forest and camping at a new spot each night. Which added some life-changing experiences for me a nieve 17-18-year-old alone in a foreign country with me not knowing any part of the local language. When I got back to the UK I decided on this as a hopeful career path which I am still working toward now. I decided I wanted to work in the travel industry, where my passion in life truly lies. So I came back to the UK after that trip and immediately planned for other journeys. Still living with family I decided to explore a bit of Latin America which I really enjoyed the culture the idea of working out here was overwhelming. So in 2011, I went to Costa Rica. But where the trips truly took an expedition type feel was when planning from start to finish around 8 months prior to going away. I planned and prepared for a journey to the Darien gap Panama-Colombia border region. Which went as best as could in this region. I then began planning my return to head to Guyana where we canoed a river we, meaning myself 2 local guides travelled for 11.5 days and travelled 288km to be exact. I knew that my dream job would now be to work as an expedition leader where I could live out my passion for leading in remote and exciting places. I now had an abundance of remote travel experience and the required knowledge and soon the qualifications that it takes to do this. But I was still without the valuable experience required to teach and lead people in remote places. I have now done my ML training so that I would soon have the qualification to make this a career choice of mine.

Progressive College - SNA, Healthcare, Childcare and Montessori Courses Ireland

progressive college - sna, healthcare, childcare and montessori courses ireland

Progressive College is known for one thing above all else – its outstanding tradition of excellence in providing education and training of the highest quality. This tradition goes back nearly 35 years to March 1986 when the college was founded by a team of young Teaching Sisters formerly of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital at Crumlin in Dublin, Ireland’s premier children’s hospital. As Progressive College grew, the original team members were joined by more former Teaching Sisters and together the expanded group pioneered the development of new courses in childcare, special needs education, and healthcare. These courses were permeated by the ‘Crumlin Culture’ of focussing totally on the needs and well-being of the child, and over succeeding decades Progressive’s child-related courses have been widely imitated by other institutions throughout the country. The College has continued to expand and offer an ever-growing range of new courses while always ensuring that the tradition of quality begun in its early years is not just maintained but continually enhanced. Today Progressive College is part of the City Education Group and is a leading provider of QQI validated major award programmes in Childcare, Montessori, Healthcare, Special Needs Assistant training and Business. These awards are aligned on the nationally and internationally recognised Irish National Framework of Qualifications and so provide ideal foundations on which to build a successful career.
