Purified Air Ltd

Romford

Purified Air is a British manufacturer and has been a market leader in commercial air filtration since 1984. We specialise in commercial kitchen odour control & filtration and indoor air quality. As an early pioneer in the control of kitchen pollution, we developed commercially viable systems in the late 1980s. We work with major brand leaders across the fast and casual dining sectors and draw on decades of experience to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) in public spaces such as offices, shopping centres and airports. We are committed to continuous product development, which currently focuses on improving air quality in our public spaces and creating healthier environments. Purified Air is a commercial air filtration company that specialises in indoor air control and odour control and was founded in 1984. As our commercial kitchen extraction company grew rapidly in the ‘80s, so did our in-house service team. We soon began working with international brands like McDonalds – a long-term relationship that remains today – and expanded globally when our first major distributor in the Middle East was established. We’ve been commissioned to supply air filtration systems for kitchen extraction and indoor air control for high profile clients – from Pizza Express to Premier Inn, and Harrods to the Houses of Parliament. Over the years, our reputation for in-depth expertise in air filtration and IAQ grew. We have been called upon by government representatives to advise on official guidance for the control of cooking emissions. With long-standing senior leaders and a robust team of over 80 employees, Purified Air is now a major distributor on every continent and across 40 countries. Always at the forefront of new technologies and innovations in the commercial air filtration industry, we’re actively involved in the design of every project. Today we’re helping organisations combat the spread of COVID-19 by designing virus irradiation units to combat airborne coronavirus in occupied spaces.

I have taken some of my successful face to face sessions and turned them into successful online programs. The only equipment you need is smart phone, a tablet or laptop. There is something for people who just want to get going with minimal support, or we can work together to create something completely personal to you that gives you as much support and accountability as you want. All my online programs include nutrition and habit coaching and are fully achievable to complete at home. You can log in via my app, follow the routine and log your activity. Depending on the program you choose, I will then review your activity and help you along the way. I also do LIVE sessions you can join in with. FACE TO FACE Training With the face to face training, you’ll need to live in Shrewsbury, Oswestry or the Surrounding villages. I have a totally private gym area at home, so if you’re uncomfortable with the mainstream gym or struggle to find the time to go, this is a perfect option for you. Together we will create a plan that works towards your goals. We will also have a good chat and a laugh as we go. You’ll get access to the fitness app, a private Facebook group and LIVE online sessions. NUTRITION COACHING I have various levels of nutrition coaching options which can be as basic or as in-depth as you need them to be. We’ll work together with the support of a nutriton app, making it easy to do on the go. Depending on the level you choose, you’ll either get hints and tips along the way or a full ‘hold your hand’ service that includes video and phone support if needed. What’s Next? Pop over to the ‘Training Options’ section, choose the program that’s right for you and create your account. You’ll get a welcome email instantly with guidance, then I will contact you within 24 hours, to find out about your goals.

The Software Sustainability Institute

the software sustainability institute

About the Software Sustainability Institute Better software better research The Software Sustainability Institute motto. Cultivating research software to support world-class research Software is fundamental to research: 7 out of 10 researchers report their work would be impossible without it. From short, thrown-together temporary scripts to solving a specific problem, through an abundance of complex spreadsheets analysing collected data, to the hundreds of software engineers and millions of lines of code behind international efforts such as the Large Hadron Collider and the Square Kilometre Array, there are few areas of research where software does not have a fundamental role. Since 2010, the Software Sustainability Institute has facilitated the advancement of software in research by cultivating better, more sustainable, research software to enable world-class research (“Better software, better research”). In 2018, we were awarded funding from all seven research councils. Our mission is to become the world-leading hub for research software practice. The Institute is based at the Universities of Edinburgh, Manchester, Oxford and Southampton, and draws on a team of experts with a breadth of experience in software development, training, project and programme management, research facilitation, publicity and community engagement. The importance of sustainability Sustainability means that the software you use today will be available - and continue to be improved and supported - in the future. Expert knowledge Securing a future for research software requires more than just quality code, which is why, over the years, we have striven to help researchers build and use better software through better practices, and advocate for culture change within their communities and institutions. Building on our experience and expert understanding of the state of research software in the UK, our work focuses around four objectives: nurturing the growth of communities of practice to foster the sharing of expertise across the entire research community, conducting research to provide insight into the use of software in research, continuing enabling widespread adoption of research software practices, and offering training and guidance to help build a capable researcher community and increase the recognition of software in research.

Strong Like A Mutha

strong like a mutha

Strong Like a Mutha was Founded in 2016 by Lyndsey Roberts after the birth of her son. Having previously been a professional dancer and exercised her whole life, Lyndsey found herself in a whole new world with a high risk pregnancy and very little evidence based information on safe and effective training for women in her situation. Ultimately this resulted in the complete halting of exercise which then caused lots of pain and discomfort throughout her pregnancy. Returning to exercise postnatally Lyndsey knew there had to be more information out there and began to feel drawn to helping and supporting women in the fitness industry. And so Strong Like a Mutha was born! Lyndsey and the SLAM community have created a gym environment (The Mutha Ship) that is welcoming, inviting, non-intimidating and allows its members to work as hard as they like. At Strong Like a Mutha we all understand that a traditional gym setting can be intimidating and that is why we have created this sanctuary in the middle of the city just for you ❤️ Picture of Lyndsey Roberts sitting in the Strong Like a Mutha Gym - The Mutha Ship Our Purpose To provide a safe and supportive space where all humans are welcomed and celebrated. To provide education and guidance that allows us to make changes in the fitness industry and the world. To raise the voices of women and those marginalized by society. Our Vision We envision a change in the fitness industry that empowers everyone, not just physically but mentally and emotionally. We want to part of a future where the perception of our health isn’t determined by the size and shape of our body, and where our self worth isn’t fed by diet culture. Our Values We are guided by our core values. Every decision we make, marketing material we create or service we introduce must come from a place of: Integrity, Community, Kindness, Inclusivity, Connection, Empowerment

Navigating Neurodiversity

navigating neurodiversity

London

The European Agency on the Development of Special Needs Education (EADSNE) (2006) highlighted individual differences as one of the largest challenges faced by teachers in mainstream schools not only in the UK but across Europe. Teacher training and preparation to support neurodiverse pupils within a mainstream setting has failed to keep up with the changes within the field of inclusion leaving teachers ill equipped to achieve true inclusivity within their classroom. The most recent study of mainstream teachers within the West Midlands highlighted that less than 29% of teachers felt confident to support the neurodiverse pupils within their class with 17% unsure of the meaning of Neurodiversity. Navigating Neurodiversity provides hands-on training and support for mainstream schools to improve teacher confidence when supporting the neurodiverse pupils within their classroom. To provide advice and guidance of ensuring barriers to learning within the classroom/school are permanently removed and providing ongoing intervention and support strategies, including de-escalation techniques to provide and happy, safe and inclusive environment which best supports learning for all pupils. We also work with leadership team, including SENCo, providing support, advice, planning and assessment documentation throughout the EHCP application process to ensure a successful outcome is achieved with maximum support gained for learners with SEN. Book Now What is Neurodiversity? Neurodiversity is the term to show the diverse way of the way the brain functions, specifically the range of ways in which we learn, think and relate to others (Honeybourne 2018). The neurodiversity paradigm argues that there is not one ‘normal’ way in which the brain functions. Originating within the study of autism to show that there was no ‘norm’ with regard to learning and social interaction and that autism was not a disorder, neurodiversity is now the term used to include all perceived neurological differences including dyscalculia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Tourette syndrome and supports the theory that no set way of neurocognitive functioning is more important/normal than the other and that differences in learning should be supported and embraced.

Lisa's facilitation style is directly inspired by nature and she works in a way that provides guidance, tools and a witnessing presence for people to tap into their innate wisdom, power inside of themselves and into the healing ability of their bodies. With practical tools and a deeper understanding of our biology and what we need to thrive, everyone has the ability to thrive and rewild their inner landscape!  Experiences  Lisa has a BA in Environmental Philosophy and an MSc from Edinburgh University in Outdoor and Environmental Education with her masters research focussing on the Wim Hof method and eco-somatic embodiment as a form of environmental education.  She is a qualified Breathwork Coach& Facilitator with Infinite Breath and member of the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF).
