I am a Chartered member of both IOSH and CIEH and on the OSHCR register. I initially set up this business to provide practical and authoritative training in health and safety regulation and enforcement. Everything I include in my training is drawn from my 25+ years experience as a health and safety regulator, lecturer and Practitioner. During this time I have used the full range of enforcement options drawn from complex criminal investigation resulting in service of notices to prosecution of both individuals and large businesses. I worked for HSE for two years and held a full Inspectors Warrant providing advice and support to HSE and local authorities. I have investigated or managed many different incidents resulting in broken bones, multiple injuries and many fatalities. Here are a few: Crushed by barrier Fatal scalding Explodng tandoori oven Slip accident Fatality at a nightclub Child falls 15ft at a nursery Asbestos release 9m Fall from care home window I managed a team of local authority health and safety regulators and acted as mentor for their investigations. This involved providing advice on appropriate action, use of powers under S20 Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, providing advice on investigations and supporting them through to prosecution where appropriate. This has enabled me to develop detailed practical skills in investigation and interview techniques, PACE interviewing (including PEACE), dealing with lawyers and building successful cases for prosecution. I also provide advice to other local authorites assisting them in their investigations, reviewing prosecution files, acting as second interviewing officer and advising on all matters in between. For many years, I acted as the local authority liaison officer providing support to those bereaved following workplace fatalities. I have written guidance on this role which forms the basis of my training in family liaison. I have produced reports for coroners inquests and have presented evidence during inquests.

I am the founder of AdvocacyTutor.com. I am a Barrister and was called to the Bar in 1993. I spent a number of years at the Criminal Bar representing clients charged with all manner of offences, from unlawful abstraction of electricity to Murder. I have appeared in courts throughout England and Wales, including the Court of Appeal. I currently hold a judicial position; I sit as a panel member of the Teaching Regulation Agency. The role involves hearing and determining the outcome of allegations of misconduct against members of the teaching profession. I am a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, and the Criminal Bar Association. I am also an accredited Advocacy Trainer; I received my accreditation from the National Institute of Trial Advocates in 1999. In 1998 I decided to combine practice at the Bar with a career in Post Graduate Education. I developed my teaching career at BPP Law School, where I held various roles, including Course Director of the Bar course and Head of Advocacy Skills on the Bar Course. In 2010 I was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Law. I have over 20 years’ experience in legal education training, I have extensive experience of teaching civil and criminal Advocacy on the Bar Course, Bar Transfer Test (BTT), Higher Rights of Audience course, Legal Practice Course, and Continuing Professional Development courses, (CPD). The Golf course is now officially closed for the season. "The Short Course" is open for all members. As the pins were removed from all greens, the Grounds staff set up the winter 'Short-Course" for members to go out and play when weather and winter thaws permit throughout the off-season. The Short-course layout is as follows: You will play temporary holes on 1, 2 and 3, then make your way to the 5th hole, play 6 & 7 then tee off back towards the 10th green, followed by holes 11, 12 and 18. All those holes have temporary tees and greens and we would ask that all members while playing or practicing utilize those while remaining off all regulation tees and greens. The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) is part of the data protection landscape that includes the Data Protection Act 2018 (the DPA 2018).
