5 Days (Excluding Weekends) We run weekly open courses for accreditations including CPCS, CSCS Health & Safety, NPORS, IFAP, SMSTS and more. We also offer bespoke training courses or in house training nationwide. Upon arrival at our centres candidates will be inducted to the site by their qualified instructor who will be training them for the day. After registration candidates will be issued with a pack full of information relevant to the category they are being trained in. Included in this pack are theory questions, practical specifications, pre-start check lists, marking sheets and more. We ensure that these materials provided excel the individual to successfully complete their course. We are aware that having good quality machines give candidates a significant advantage when undertaking their training. We endeavour to supply candidates with the highest quality plant training and machinery on our site using a variety of certified suppliers. These machines come equipped with all the health and safety features and include – but are not limited to – JCB, Magni, Merlo, Caterpillar, Thwaits and Manitou. The CITB SSSTS course is an accredited Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme for the construction site supervisor, these are generally referred to as SSSTS training courses. The supervisors safety training scheme is now a requirement set out by the major contractors group for all supervisors who will be working on their sites. Construction skills and health and safety need to go hand in hand and made a priority to encourage improved work skills and reduced accidents and injuries. On the 2 day SSSTS training course the main focus will be on: THE IMPORTANCE OF RISK ASSESSMENTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY THERE IS A FOCUS ON HOW TO IMPLEMENT CONTROL MEASURES ON SITE AND HOW TO USE COMMUNICATION TO ENSURE THE SITE REMAINS SAFE FOR EVERYONE MONITORING THE CONTROL MEASURES AND WORK ACTIVITIES ENSURING THAT THE WORK IS CARRIED OUT CORRECTLY AND SAFELY Delegates attending CITB SSSTS courses and who successfully complete will receive a SSSTS certificate to show that they are able to help supervise in the construction industry and have understanding when it comes to health and safety in the work place. The course takes place over two days and will teach health and safety skills needed to maintain a safe site. A thirty minute multiple choice examination will follow the training. Upon successful completion of the SSSTS training the candidate will be awarded with the CITB Site Supervisory Safety Training Certificate. Further Development Successful candidates can go on to complete the 5 day site managers safety training scheme SMSTS course designed for site managers and supervisors.

These skills can then be used to teach fellow healthcare professionals at a number of our courses, including ALS, EPALS and NLS. This course is a joint collaboration between Resuscitation Council UK and the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG). Around 900 Instructors are trained on this course every year. This course consists of a day of e-learning followed by two days of face-to-face attendance, which will take place in a Resuscitation Council UK Course Centre.  Across the two day face-to-face sessions, Candidates will attend a lecture before taking part in practical sessions that cover the teaching modalities required to teach the provider courses. These include approaches to teaching skills acquisition, facilitating simulation, undertaking assessments and providing feedback to candidates. After successful completion of the GIC, Candidates must teach on two provider courses as an Instructor Candidate (IC) within two years of the GIC in order to complete their training and receive their qualification.

These special First Aid Skills Practice Sessions give you the chance to refresh your theory and/or practical skills Whichever subjects you would like to work on - you choose what you want to practice or know more about Course Contents: Can’t quite remember how or why to put someone in the recovery position? Practice it! Still confident in giving CPR? Ever done it with different barriers? Here’s your chance. Scared of what to do if someone chokes? We have baby and child infant choking models and an adult choking vest. Save their lives! Bandage a wound, apply a sling, treat someone for shock? That can be done. Want to know more about Heart Attacks or Strokes? Just let us know. Know the theory about an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), but haven’t had the chance to actually use one? Now you can. Or maybe you did some training a while ago that wasn't necessarily certificated, and you just want to refresh your skills and knowledge a bit Do you feel confident you can do what needs doing when the situation arises? It is highly recommended to do 'something’ to keep your skills up to date – as a matter of fact, this is a prerequisite of your First Aid Certificate. We run Annual Refresher courses, which is a properly accredited certification awarded by Qualsafe Awards. These are recommended on a yearly basis. In between that, it is still good to keep one's skills and knowledge up to date. Our special First Aid Skills Practice Sessions give you the chance to refresh your theory and/or practical skills. Whichever subjects you would like to work on. An experienced trainer will be at hand to show and explain. NOWHERE ELSE DO YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO THIS! CPD Accredited: These sessions are non-Ofqual regulated. However, they are taught by our trainer, who is an accredited first aid trainer via Qualsafe Awards, First Aid Awards Ltd and Highfields Qualifications. You'll get accredited quality either way! These sessions are CPD Accredited, so you'll get 1.5 CPD hours with this training. If you'd like to do a nationally accredited course instead, we'd like to recommend you do our First Aid at Work Annual Refresher, Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work or Basic Life Support for Adults and Children course.
