We are passionate about wellbeing and holistic learning. Our coaching helps people excel academically and to cultivate a growth MINDSET and growth HEARTSET. We believe having this balance of the head (rational intelligence) and heart (emotional intelligence), together with the gut (physical intelligence) as the keystone, is the secret to unlocking your genius and resiliency. We have supported our children with a holistic approach to education, which we call compassionate based learning. This experiential learning has seen our children develop from building blocks to scholarship and bursaries at an independent school and securing offers to read at Oxbridge. Along this journey we have learnt a lot that we thought would help other parents and their children. We have often been asked for help and advice and we’d share the best of what we learnt, and we would often be told we should coach for a living. So, that’s what we did: we left our pharmacy and IT careers, and after qualifying from gold star training providers, undertaking hours of self-study to compliment the face to face training, and gaining the requisite hours for accreditation by coaching pro-bono we have developed our own unique coaching system to help children bring out the genius within themselves. Accelerated learning, exam success, grammar/independent school applications, university/Oxbridge applications and a personal brand portfolio are areas we specialise in, as well as the holistic element of learning: resilience and the emotions of beliefs and behaviours.

Independent Dance (ID) supports the development of dance through radical enquiry, learning, community-building and audience engagement. Based at Siobhan Davies Studios in London, ID is a research engine and ‘home’ organisation for a growing community of practitioners in the UK and around the world. It has been artist and female-led since 1984. Our public programme supports a wide range of accessible and interdisciplinary approaches to dance, somatics, improvisation and choreography. Co-designed with UK/ international artists and partner organisations, this far-reaching programme includes classes, talks, workshops, research, digital initiatives and festivals. ID also bridges higher education and professional spheres, leading on MA/MFA Creative Practice: Dance Professional in partnership with Trinity Laban and Siobhan Davies Studios. Our aim is to generate a diverse and dynamic ‘community of practice’ which is not limited to one place or location and to agitate for positive change and justice within ID, the arts and society. Independent Dance is proud to be part of an ongoing National Portfolio Organisation consortium led by Siobhan Davies Studios, supported using public funding by Arts Council England. The Alternative School offers a holistic and flexible full-time school experience that has been designed to respond to the needs of young people who are unable to remain in mainstream education. Our education programmes can each cater for 40-50 pupils at each of our 4 schools, and is designed for those young people, age 4-18 who require a smaller, nurturing and individual approach to their education. Our pupils may have been excluded, at risk of exclusion, previously home educated, children looked after, SEN, High Risk Assessments, YOT orders, Drugs & Alcohol misuse, school phobic, victims of bullying, mental health needs or requiring an assessment placement. We supply the following assessments in order to tailor make what we need to meet the needs of pupils: Dyslexia Screening Education Psychologist reports Speech and Language Boxall Profile CAT Scores Literacy and Numeracy Learning Styles Our open school admissions policy offers any young person who requires some additional support the opportunity of a fresh start and access to personalised education. We are an Ofsted & ISA registered and approved independent school with current Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management Ofsted report. The Alternative Approach The Alternative School, known as TAS (pronounced TAZ), is a small independent school which specialises in providing an innovative, inspiring and nurturing educational experience and environment for young people who, for a variety of reasons, are disengaged and/or unable to access main stream education. We work closely with a number of local authorities, schools and children’s homes and parents/carers to support young people to become the best they can be, to achieve appropriate qualifications and to make a positive post 16 transition. Established in 2007, TAS achieved a ‘good with outstanding’ Ofsted report in June 2014 and then achieved Independent School Association accredited status in October 2014. In line with the ethos of the Independent Schools Association we work with the whole person aiming to develop each individual via ‘Character Education’, developing character traits such as grit, resilience, ethics, commitment and other soft skills that ISA schools equip pupils with. We have a strong emphasis on Personal and Social Development, British Values, Emotional Literacy and Employability Skills together with the Duke of Edinburgh Award and a variety of extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
