I have a degreee in Modern History from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University. I am also a fully-qualified teacher with a PGCE from the School of Education at Birmingham University. What is ActiveHistory.co.uk? ActiveHistory.co.uk (est. 1998) provides interactive simulations, decision-making games, self-marking quizzes, worksheets and lesson plans for teachers and students of World History. It provides materials on scores of topics from the Middle Ages to the present day, aimed at every age range between 11-18 years. It provides a highly effective means of teaching history using all the benefits of modern internet technology. ActiveHistory is a practical, continually evolving resource produced by a full-time history teacher for his students and his colleagues. For years I was a PA for small and large companies but always had a passion for Yoga and other fitness concepts, however I always came back to Yoga. I have suffered with sciatica and I also have Spondylolisthesis and was referred to a physiotherapist. My condition was treated and Pilates was recommended. I noticed that my posture was misaligned, due to age, sitting down for long periods of time and generally bad habits. After sessions with a chiropractor and physiotherapist because I was suffering with headaches, I discovered I had Spondylolisthesis in my lumbar spine and arthritis in my cervical spine. I had not at that time experienced any real pain and because I was practising Pilates and Yoga regularly I was doing what I needed to. I know what can aggravate it and avoid back bends which I also have experienced sciatica which is painful and debilitating and can be a bi-product of spondy. Both of these conditions are painful and Spondylolisthesis can be progressive and would need an operation is I got to Level 3. Since I was diagnosed in 2010 at Level 1-2 I have not experienced any problems and hope by putting in the work with Pilates and Yoga I can keep an operation at bay!!! I started my training for my own personal reasons however, because the benefits are huge, I decided to start teaching and haven't looked back. My posture has improved immensely and I am aware that Yoga and Pilates is a lifetime improvement programme, one tried and tested over the years. I completed my Yoga 200 hour alliance training with FRYOG, their motto is "Friendly yoga with a smile". I particularly enjoyed learning the philosophy and history of yoga and enjoyed reading and studying the spiritual texts, and have benefitted hugely in my life practising pranayama and meditation.

Tumble Tots is a physical play programme. We offer classes where children can develop their physical skills of balance, agility, climbing and co-ordination, whilst at the same time stimulating their imagination, and developing their language and social skills. Our sessions are structured around the different ages and stages of a child's development, from 6 months to school age. Each week we combine fun, excitement and challenge in a safe and caring environment, with our unique equipment and team of specially trained coaches. Children have an enormous amount of natural energy and with proper help and guidance it can be channelled in the right direction. We believe that if we can start children on a healthy way of life early on then it will become a habit for the rest of their lives. Exercise should be about having fun and that’s exactly what Tumble Tots provides! My name is Helen Otto and I live in High Wycombe with my husband, twin 8-year-old daughters and our 4 year old son. I took over running Tumble Tots in Marlow, Maidenhead and Bourne End in June 2017. The girls had been going to Tumble Tots in Marlow for a couple of years and loved the classes. I’d been a Tumble Tot as a child, and had also been a competitive swimmer right up until my late teenage years, so doing something in sport really appealed to me. And I love working with kids. Seeing children grow in confidence and ability week after week is so rewarding. I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by a fab team of coaches who work their socks off to make our classes fun and challenging for our tots. Our Class Leaders are Jade, Jackie, Katie and myself. And our Coaches are Sarah, Lisa and Liz.

A Lively, Vibrant Space an art class in a studio in florence italy THE FLORENCE ART STUDIO The Florenceart.net studio is located in a charming ex-monastery, near the ancient town of Anghiari in southern Tuscany. Our independent artist's studio has been active for over 15 years and throughout this time we have produced many commissions and held courses with students visiting this historic region from all over the world. The studio was formerly on Via della Scala, in the historical Palace of the Riblet Bargagli Petrucci in the center of Florence, but moved in 2022 to the new location in the countryside. For those who cannot travel to Italy, we have new online videos for beginners or professional artists to learn art virtually. Classical and Contemporary OUR SPECIALITIES We specialize in antique artisan techniques and skills such as gilding, trompe l'oeil, grisaille, fresco, sgraffito, and grottesca decoration. We create artworks and decoration for interiors, harpsichords, and furniture. We produce fine furniture finishes and decorative art for the interior design industry worldwide. In the past we have created designs for fabric, stencils and original interior decoration. Please see our Commissions page for examples of our past work. We love sharing our knowledge of these authentic techniques. Throughout the year, we hold art workshops and retreat courses from our studio and in stunning locations in Tuscany, teaching gilding, decorative painting, mural decoration and lime fresco techniques.

Through personal experience, I know how vital self-care is. I have designed some classes to allow people to take the much needed time away to relax, which in turn will reduce their stress and anxiety. I feel it is even more crucial now as we are dealing with so much uncertainty around us! What is hypnosis? Well, before you say it, no it isn't turning people into chickens! Hypnosis allows you to go into a deep relaxation. Once in a relaxed state, guided imagery is often used alongside positive suggestions such as "you will have a calmer and more positive week". It is important for me to point out that you remain in complete control throughout the whole experience. Many people have said that they have left feeling totally calm after the experience and it is often seen as a way of escaping from reality for a little while! In my practice I use a combination of techniques and tools to tailor make the experience for your individual and specific needs. I work in an integrative approach and deal with many issues at once as I believe they are all interlinked. I am bound by an ethical framework and I am part of the National Hypnotherapy Society and National Counselling Society. I offer training and 1:1 sessions. Even if you do not decide to go with me, please ask the therapist what qualifications they have, this is something I feel strongly about as when working with you we need to be open and competent in our ability to help you to feel the best you can. It was started in the 1970’s by a group of social work educators to respond to pressing human concerns from an international, interdisciplinary perspective. The organization seeks to develop conceptual frameworks and effective intervention strategies geared to influencing local, national and international systems. It is committed to creating peaceful solutions to the problems of survival at the local, national and global levels. ICSD members use a social development approach to: Develop capacity of individuals and communities Promote world peace and social justice Improve access to adequate health care and education Overcome discrimination against women and minorities Create sustainable income and economic structures ICSD serves as a clearinghouse for information on international social development. The Consortium fosters collaboration among personnel of organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, UNESCO, and UNICEF as well as among professional associations in the human services and institutions of higher learning. ICSD is a well-established and widely recognized international catalyst for sharing ideas among many nations and across many cultures. The ICSD Technical Assistance Roster links members’ special expertise in international social development to agencies, governments and organizations upon request. Forest School and Outdoor Learning in Hampshire and Berkshire. Muddy Puddle Club CIC offers Forest School Sessions in our woodlands in North Hampshire and Outdoor Learning classes and groups across both boroughs. We have been offering sessions in the area for the past 6 years. All of our sessions are run by trained and experienced practitioners to provide meaningful and regular opportunities to create emotional connections with nature. We also offer fully accredited and nationally recognised Forest School and Outdoor Learning training up to Level 3. We also work with schools and nurseries to enhance outdoor provision and learning. We can provide CPD sessions, grounds development and assist with planning for whole school outdoor learning programmes. At Muddy Puddle Club CIC we are committed to improving environmental and social justice and believe that Forest School offers a vehicle for change. We believe that all people from all groups and backgrounds deserve equal access to experiencing the benefits of nature connection and that money is often a barrier to this change.  We have created a community fund that allows us to run support groups for marginalised groups, subsidised places on our long term programmes and affordable Forest School training for those from minority groups that would otherwise not be able to afford it. We believe that representation matters.
