Independent Thinkers Education provides outstanding private tuition at all levels, from pre-test and 11+ tutoring through to postgraduate application support. Through our partner organisation, Independent Thinkers Courses, we deliver inspiring and academically rigorous university preparation and academic enrichment webinars. We specialise in advice and support on applications to the most academically selective UK universities and schools. We have outstanding teams of tutors who prepare young people for university admissions assessments and interviews, especially for Oxbridge and medical schools, and who prepare children for 11+, 13+ and 16+ entrance and scholarship exams, and school admissions interviews. Since 2015, we have helped over 200 students gain Oxbridge offers. We also have a 100% success rate for applications to Imperial, LSE and UCL. All the children whom we have supported with their applications to UK independent schools have received offers from one of their top choice schools. The vast majority of our senior school students attend one of the following schools: Eton, Winchester, Wycombe Abbey, Westminster, Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Harrow, Charterhouse, Tonbridge, St Paul’s (Girls’ and Boys’), City of London (Girls’ and Boys’), Habs (Girls’ and Boys’), Latymer Upper, Godolphin and Latymer or Highgate. About Heath House Preparatory School Established in 1993, Heath House is a co-educational independent preparatory school for children aged between three and eleven. Heath House is a small, private and friendly school where children are happy to learn in a stimulating environment. Therapy Services – Symbol has one of the largest teams of Speech and Language Therapists in the UK offering specialist assessment, intervention, training and consultancy for children and adults with special needs. In addition, Symbol also employs Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Therapists and Nurses in its Family Assessment Services. Symbol is increasingly deploying expertise from these valuable in-house therapeutic resources across all its activities giving Symbol a unique offer to the people who use and buy its services. Family Assessment Centre & Community Support – Symbol operates up to 10 places for parents with learning disabilities undertaking a parenting assessment and intervention service (Commissioned by the Family Law Courts and Local Authority Children’s Services) and provides 9 families with longer-term specialist parenting support in the community post-assessment. Day Opportunities (The Hopyard Services) – Symbol supports 54 people with learning disabilities in a range of meaningful activities to promote skills in work, learning and leisure operating out of 2 separate sites in Kent. Supported Living – Symbol currently supports 50 people with learning disabilities living in 15 different ordinary houses where they live as tenants. This service is growing rapidly in response to local demand. Short Breaks/Respite Care – Symbol is working with 35 young people and adults providing regular short breaks. The demand for this service is also growing. We have the facility to support up to 13 people at any one time. Community Support – Symbol supports 8 people living in their own homes on a peripatetic basis.

I’m Julia and was born & raised in Berlin Germany and have moved to Liverpool to give singing lessons and to be part of the wonderful music community here. I am a singer, songwriter and highly qualified singer teacher & vocal coach and have a long teaching experience with teenagers and adults at music schools and in private singing lessons. I've been teaching singing for nearly 15 years, both privately and at music schools, and I'm regularly internationally on stage myself with my own music as a solo singer, or with other artists as a backing vocalist. I also work as a studio singer, composer, and conductor of choirs. I studied music education for vocals pop rock jazz at the University of the Art Bremen ('Hochschule für Künste', Bremen, Germany) and do regular training to apply and teach the latest vocal techniques. My last trainings were Complete Vocal Technique, Circle Singing and Inclusion Oriented Circus and Movement Education. Being an active singer and songwriter enriches my teaching, because I can teach you not only the techniques you need on stage, in the studio or when writing songs, but I can share my enthusiasm and love for the music with you. I have successfully prepared many singing students for auditions and competitions and helped them to win first prizes. Also, I've helped many students to pass the entrance exams at Colleges and University to study music. I have taught singers of all ages and levels - beginners, advanced or even professionals who just need support for a tour, a recording session or a specific concert.
