We are Ed and Amelia. After many years in Oxford, first studying (both of us), then working in archaeology labs (Ed), and running a fun and fabulous pop-up cookery school with the equally fun and fabulous Sophie Grigson (Amelia), we decided the time had come for a new adventure. So here we are. For Ed, it is more of a return to his roots, having grown up on a farm near Kirkby Lonsdale. For me (well, it is Amelia’s kitchen – I think you might guess that it is Amelia who does the social media!), it is a chance to put down some new roots, and thus far, I love it. So who are we? Ed is a chemist by academic background, a farmer by family background, and a curious mind and problem solver by nature. He now works for B4RN, mapping the route for super-fast broadband for the rural North. My history lies in the food, wine, and literature of Italy (specifically Renaissance five-act comedy and the food of Garfagnana, where I also make wine!). My formal food training was a Cordon Bleu diploma at Tante Marie, followed by a couple of years of restaurant work. To complement my food training (and because, let’s face it, I’m a learning addict) I also completed my WSET wine diploma. The highlight of the course was winning a prize for one exam, which involved being taken to Vinitaly in Verona by the lovely people at Liberty Wine. I was already hooked on Italian wine, but that just reinforced the habit!

Children's TV and Film School We are a part time TV and film school for children based at Pinewood Studios. We deliver a unique range of screen and film classes in a fun and practical way to 6-16 years. We are passionate about ensuring that children are well trained and we offer our students a huge wealth of opportunities to meet casting directors, directors, top coaches. We offer lessons, close to the new Shinfield Studios in Reading, on Sunday mornings from 10.30am until 12.30pm and close to Pinewood studios in Iver Heath on Tuesday evenings 5pm until 6pm We offer weekly acting lessons exclusively for TV and films. Ideal for beginners, our courses allow children to learn techniques that build their confidence in a fun and unique way. Children perform against green screens on a weekly basis. Every week we focus on a different style and scenario making these classes fun and highly interactive. Children will receive immediate feedback and at the end of each term their work will be showcased in a glamorous red carpet style premiere event for their friends and family. Children who are currently represented in the industry can learn techniques for onscreen acting. West Central London Fixers bring together volunteer repairers and the community to fix their electronics for free. The idea is to nurture repair culture in the community, rather than throwing away electronics – indeed e-waste has become a huge environmental problem. The events are open to volunteer learner repairers so are educational as well. WCL Fixers currently organise monthly free repair events at the Dalgarno Trust and the Space in North Kensington as well as at the Livat shopping centre in Hammersmith. The idea however is to have three branches: WCL Fixers – North Kensington WCL Fixers – Hammersmith WCL Fixers - Westminster - from April 2023 We are supported by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith Fulham. We work in partnership with the Restart Project. West Central London Fixers also engages in the private repair and recycling of laptops. Loop was opened in the Summer of 2005 by Susan Cropper, a New Yorker living in London. She wanted it to be like the best yarn fair you can imagine in a warm and inspiring space along with incredible staff who are expert knitters and friendly and talented people. Most of our yarns are natural fibres and a lot are hand-dyed yarns from the likes of La Bien Aimee, Madelinetosh, Spincycle, Qing, The Uncommon Thread, Eden Cottage Yarns, Lichen + Lace, and many small independent dyers from the UK and around the world. Loop is also the UK Flagship shop for Quince & Co, Brooklyn Tweed, and Woolfolk. Loop also stocks a huge range of haberdashery which is useful and beautiful as well as a great selection of vintage haberdashery which includes buttons, ribbons, and an incredible selection of embroidery and mending threads. With a passion for print, we also have a wonderful collection of publications – books and magazines from all over the world as well as a huge collection of printed patterns. We have the joy of collaborating with some incredible designers who create patterns for us using Loop yarns including Fiona Alice, Norah Gaughan, Juju Vail, Paulina Popiolek, Melanie Berg, Kathryn Merrick, Rachel Coopey, Yoko Hatta, Justyna Lorkowska, and Florence Spurling. Wildcats Theatre School is a theatre school based in Stamford with classes across the South Lincolnshire, Rutland and Peterborough areas. The school offers part time classes to those aged 2-16, children's parties and entertainment and a full programme of educational holiday activities. The school have excellent pass rates in LAMDA (London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts) Musical Theatre and Acting examinations. At Wildcats ‘Every child is an individual’ - with an emphasis on building confidence and self esteem as well as performing arts skills. Wildcats holds ‘Recognised School Status’ with CDET ‘Council for Dance Education and Training’ and has won numerous awards in the local community. Wildcats is all about having fun, making friends, developing confidence and being part of an amazing team of children, young people and adults who are part of the school. Our students come from every possible performing arts background - whilst some have experience on the stage, others have enjoyed singing, dance or drama at home - but for some, it is their first taste of the world of performing arts.
