We are IVE (formerly CapeUK) was established as an incorporated company in April 1997 and registered as a charity in April 1999. Inspired by radical new models of creative education, the company was originally set up as a research and development organisation. CapeUK looked to drill down into the creative process and explore how it might be used to drive improvements in teaching and learning. We became influential in relation to policy development and established a national and international reach in relation to championing creativity and professional learning. We also acted as advisors to Government on the importance of creativity and how it might be developed as a transferable skill. By 2014 we realised there was an opportunity to diversify our work and utilise the learning that 17 years of research and development had provided us. It was clear there was significant appetite beyond the education and cultural sectors for programmes that were aimed at developing the creative capacity and competencies of the workforce, and particularly in leadership. We have therefore spent the last 5 years designing and delivering training that aims to teach creativity as a transferable skill and how to create the right environment for creativity to flourish within the workplace, driving innovation, in a consistent and structured way. We also draw out the leadership and team behaviours that are needed to support this. This programme seeks to inspire young, diverse & talented people from some of our most disadvantaged communities through a range of opportunities designed to develop their own creative potential as future leaders.” We believe that the workplace of the future depends on having individuals that are creative, that are able to adapt, that are resilient and have the range of skills and aptitudes employers are looking for. That’s why, when we deliver our training on an earned income basis, the profit goes back into supporting our charitable programmes for disadvantaged young people. A message from Sarah Bennett, IFtL CEO I know every CEO is proud of their Trust, their schools, the staff and the pupils within it…..and I am no exception. I know every CEO feels their Trust is unique, that their USP is different from every other; and they have a WOW factor that exceeds all. I am absolutely no exception to that either! I am personally so proud of the journey we have travelled and what we have achieved to date - created by people with a genuine desire: ‘To inspire the futures of us all through learning together’ We formed Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) in 2016 as a natural extension of our school improvement journey. Indeed, for over twenty years our founding school, Two Mile Ash School had worked with very secure, high-quality partners in their ITT School-Based Partnership, supporting newly formed Trusts in turning schools in difficulty around and created our CPD programme to support the development of leadership and continual professional development both locally and nationally. There was a very strong track record of school improvement led by high performing leaders who shared a common vision. Developing a Multi-Academy Trust with like-minded schools and their leaders meant that our vision could circulate further, ensure the impact of our work reached out to more children and more staff benefited from high-quality development and learning from each other. Since 2016 we have achieved great success. We can quantify our success in Ofsted reports, performance data, financial spreadsheets and our recruitment and retention figures. However, most importantly to note is that we can only achieve such success because of our culture and ethos. It is our more qualitative success that makes IFtL truly unique. We are a strong family, with different personalities and differing abilities but we have the golden thread that pulls us together - a belief that we are stronger together; that we will go that extra mile for each other and support each other when things aren’t going the way we want them to. The camaraderie is second to none as our school improvement system is strongly embedded in our schools as we use the skills and expertise to support each other. There is nothing new about a self-sustaining school improvement system – but the way we do it is unique to us and something that we are extremely proud of. An exclusive and independent rehab centre for the treatment of addictions and associated mental health issues The Haynes Clinic is a private rehabilitation centre for the treatment of alcohol, gambling and drug addiction. Drug addiction encompasses all so-called ‘recreational’ drugs (cocaine, ketamin, GBL, GHB, heroin and cannabis, for example). It also includes prescription medication for those with concerns about their use of drugs such as codeine, diazepam and other benzodiazepines, pregabalin, gabapentin and sleeping tablets. The centre provides detox and counselling with a view to you becoming entirely abstinent from alcohol and drugs. The counselling will also cover how to deal with stress, anxiety and depression – feelings that are often associated with addiction and other compulsive behaviours. Most of the rehab treatment is focused around group therapy as this has been proven to be most effective in helping addicts and alcoholics into recovery. There will also be some one to one counselling to cover individual goals and anything of particular sensitivity. All clients at The Haynes Clinic will have a consultation with our consultant psychiatrist on admission. She will prescribe any detox medication required and oversee your medical needs during your stay. Your stay here can be entirely private without it being revealed to your own GP and being on your medical notes – or we can liaise with your GP if you prefer. If we need to be in touch with your GP – or any other professional outside the confines of the treatment centre – this will always be with your consent. We also involve your family and those closest to you in your treatment. We ask the people who care about you to tell us about your behaviour and how it has affected them. We also offer them family counselling if they need support as a result of your addiction. The treatment centre is located in a tranquil, rural setting in Bedfordshire. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible while getting you well. All clients at the centre have their own bedrooms in a home comfort setting. Some have en suite facilities. All are good sized well appointed rooms with a double bed. We take account of your choices when ordering in the food for your stay though once you are feeling physically better, your rehab experience will include taking on responsibilities such as helping to prepare meals and keeping your environment clean and tidy. Some people need to relearn these skills; others can share their experience, helping their peers to learn – which itself boosts self-esteem.

Through events and activities, ISBE aims to disseminate this research to business owners, policy makers and business support organisations where it can have genuine impact and inform change, and to share these resources with academics, researchers and educators. By 1977 these ad hoc, informal meetings of the early small business and entrepreneurship researchers had become a full annual and international conference which is still running over 40 years later. The Institute is formed: Originally an annual conference hosted by a different university each year, it was not until 1989 that the researchers formally organised as the UK Enterprise Management and Research Association (UKEMRA). Three years later, in 1992, the name was changed to Institute for Small Business Affairs (ISBA). In 2004, recognising the increased focus on entrepreneurship in policy and research, the organisation became the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE). Our past activities and achievements: Through the years as well as the ISBE conference, ISBE has held many regional events in the form of doctoral work shops, work shops on all aspects of entrepreneurial education and research, policy think-tanks and debates in response to government iniatives and other contemporary issues, and practical, skill building work shops for small business practitioners. ISBE has produced many publications such as books, reports, research papers and conference outcomes. In addition to this ISBE provided a network for those in the field of small business and entrepreneurship allowing collaboration, debate and sharing of valuable insight, knowledge and best practice. In this way ISBE sought to contribute to the world of enterprise by disseminating knowledge and skills, platforming the latest research, supporting entrepreneurial education and encouraging debate.

Lessons took place in and around the routes commonly taken during driving tests at my test center, so when the test came I was fully prepared. His step-by-step techniques for carrying out potentially tricky reversing maneuvers makes them seem easy in no time at all. Leslie’s relaxing, approachable in-car atmosphere and excellent tuition has developed me into a confident, safe driver, and I am glad I chose him as my instructor; I would recommend him to anyone else looking to learn. From the first lesson you feel relaxed and comfortable as he talks you slowing and carefully through what you will be doing and how to properly complete the task. Not only does he teach you the skills to drive, but he also prepares you for the theory and practical tests by asking you questions and making you aware of potential hazards. He picks up on your body language and your mind-set, and explains why you are making mistakes; and he breaks down the more complicated situations, step by step, to help you overcome any issues with your driving. When I started with Leslie he put me at ease straight away. After my first lesson with him he knew exactly what my weak points were and he built on them week by week to the point that I passed my test on 14/08/13. When you have leslie as a driving instructor you know that you have the right instructor, he is friendly and a very patient person, I should know when he had to put up with me and my mirrors, well should I say, the lack of using them!! He was able to do this through a mixture of it has to be said extreme patience, enthusiasm and the ability to put up with my constant questioning and answer them in such an effective way that it made me instantly more confident in my ability to drive. Leslie was a great teacher and it was thanks to him that I passed my practical test first time with only four minor faults! He is calm, patient, encouraging with his driving lessons and great at getting you past all your driving anxieties. During the driving lessons he simplified things where I complicated them, he clarified where I when I was confused and continually made me aware of my progress. As learner, I used to dread getting into the drivers seat but leslie ‘s positive teaching has given me such confidence in my driving and not only that, I enjoy it too! Sophia M Leslie is a fantastic driving instructor. From the first lesson Leslie helped me feel calm, relaxed and safe in the car, not an easy task with a very nervous learner. Leslie was always friendly, approachable, happy to answer any questions and flexible if lessons needed to be changed. His sense of humour, patience (of a saint!!!) and calmness made each lesson an enjoyable experience and helped me develop my confidence. Leslie’s approach is very much to teach safe driving for life, not just to get you through the test. His ‘coaching’ style enabled me to learn safe driving skills at a deeper level than surface learning which could be quickly forgotten. I feel confident that I now have the skills to drive safely on my own. I passed my test first time with 2 minor faults. I’ve already signed up for Pass Plus with Dunwalkin. My son has Asperger’s Syndrome and I’ve asked Leslie to teach him to drive as I believe he has the patience, understanding and skill to help him to become a confident and safe driver.
