Neuroplasticity Course

3.5(2)

By Elearncollege

Description Neuroplasticity Diploma Neuroplasticity Diploma offers a comprehensive online journey into the fascinating world of the brain's ability to change and adapt. This innovative course is designed for those who wish to deepen their understanding of how the brain works, evolves, and reshapes itself throughout a person's lifetime. Beginning with an Introduction to Neuroplasticity, this diploma breaks down the complexities of the brain's dynamic nature. Rather than seeing the brain as a static organ, participants will come to appreciate the nuances of its growth, adaptation, and its boundless potential for transformation. In the Sensory Substitution section, learners will explore how the brain can repurpose one sense to compensate for the loss or inefficiency of another. Imagine a world where the blind can 'see' using their sense of touch or where the deaf might 'hear' via visual cues. The marvels of sensory substitution make such wonders possible, and this section unpacks the science behind it. Developmental Plasticity addresses the evolution of the brain during different stages of human growth. From infancy to adulthood, the brain undergoes significant changes, constantly adapting and learning. This section provides invaluable insights into how early experiences can shape our cognitive abilities and behaviours for years to come. In Synaptic Plasticity, the course delves into the cellular level of brain adaptation. Unravel how individual neural connections strengthen or weaken in response to experiences, laying the foundation for memory, learning, and behavioural change. The Seven Rules of Neuroplasticity is an illuminating segment, guiding learners through the fundamental principles governing how the brain changes. With these rules, one can better understand the underlying mechanisms and perhaps even harness them to foster positive personal growth. Brain Training, a popular topic in today's digital age, seeks to explore the tools and techniques that claim to enhance cognitive functions. With so many apps and programmes promising to 'train' the brain, this section offers a scientific lens to evaluate their efficacy and potential. One cannot discuss neuroplasticity without addressing Nerve Injury and Brain Damage. This section offers insights into how the brain recovers and compensates after trauma, showcasing its resilience and adaptability. Addiction and Pain, two formidable challenges in neuroscience, are scrutinised in the context of neuroplasticity. This section seeks to offer an understanding of how repeated behaviours can reshape the neural pathways, leading to addiction, and how pain, both physical and emotional, can change the brain's structure and function. Lifelong Changes in the Brain provides hope and inspiration by highlighting that the brain's ability to adapt isn't confined to the early years but is a lifelong phenomenon. Be it learning a new skill in one's golden years or adapting to unforeseen life changes; the brain's plasticity supports us throughout our journey. The course rounds up with a Conclusion, where learners are equipped with a holistic understanding of neuroplasticity. The Neuroplasticity Diploma doesn't just offer knowledge; it provides a foundation for learners to apply this knowledge in their personal and professional lives, be it in therapy, education, or personal development. In essence, the Neuroplasticity Diploma is an online treasure trove for anyone keen on grasping the immense capabilities of the human brain. Enrol today and embark on a journey of discovery, wonder, and infinite possibilities. What you will learn 1:Introduction to Neuroplasticity 2:Sensory Substitution 3:Developmental Plasticity 4:Synaptic Plasticity 5:The Seven Rules of Neuroplasticity 6:Brain Training 7:Nerve Injury and Brain Damage 8:Addiction and Pain 9:Lifelong Changes in the Brain 10:Conclusion Course Outcomes After completing the course, you will receive a diploma certificate and an academic transcript from Elearn college. Volcanology Course

3.5(2)

By Elearncollege

Description Volcanology Diploma  Nature is often portrayed in poetry and literature as a meditative, romantic, and loving being that is unconditional and all-giving. However, some phenomena completely shatter this image of nature- one such phenomenon is volcanic eruptions. No mortal being can stand against the might and terror of a volcanic eruption. Their slow rumbling, gradual building-up, and sudden roaring outburst have always been simultaneously scary and fantastic. What sets volcanic eruptions apart from other natural phenomena is their character of being violent and calming simultaneously. Volcanic eruptions are destructive, but only a few find them incredibly beautiful. They realise self-important humanity that they are still no match to the might of Mother Nature. Humans might be the most intelligent creatures on the planet, but they are beneath natural forces and phenomena. However, humanity achieves progress through learning and exploring. Volcanic eruptions are beyond human control, but they can be studied and understood by people- and thus, learn to live along with them. The Volcanology Diploma course is an incredible opportunity to explore the historical information of volcanoes, their scientific definition, the different stages of volcanic eruption, their aftermath, and the role of volcanologists in monitoring and predicting future volcanic activities. Initially, the Volcanology Diploma course presents the learners with information about the Earth's and its oceans' structure that enables volcanic activities, the Earth's exterior and interior structure's developmental process, and seismology and movement of tectonic plates. The Volcanology Diploma course examines the basic structure of volcanoes and their subsurface plumbing mechanisms and studies various inner volcanic structures. Additionally, the course explains the different varieties of volcanoes, volcanic eruptions, tephra, and lava that occur from explosions. The learners will explore the chemical and biological aspects of the Earth's volcanoes, such as environmental effects, magmatic emissions, and their impact on the various fauna and flora that inhabit volcanic surroundings. Another area covered in the course includes the hydrothermal vent and its effects on ecosystems. The learners will discover global and local volcanic hazards, including Snowball Earth, acid rain, atmospheric modification, resource pollution, tsunamis, and acid rains. The Volcanology Diploma Course concludes with reviewing the most significant volcanic eruptions documented in Earth's history, the most notable natural events in human history, an overview of recent massive explosions, and the most dangerous future catastrophes predicted by geologists. Volcanology is a geographic field that is constantly evolving. This Volcanology Diploma course is ideal for beginners and those passionate about Earth Sciences. Everyone shares some curiosity about how these gigantic natural structures develop, form, and erupt. Still, only a few get the opportunity to delve deeper into the scientific study of volcanoes and understand what volcanologists do and how they monitor active sites. What you will learn  1: Volcanoes  2: The melting of the rocks  3: Plate tectonics and volcanoes  4: Scales and types of eruption  5: Cauldrons and lava flows  6: Explosive pyroclastic eruptions  7: Igneous intrusions  8: Life and Climate  9: Monitoring volcanoes  10: Man and volcanoes  Course Outcomes After completing the course, you will receive a diploma certificate and an academic transcript from Elearn college. Existential Dialogue 2025: "Meaning" with Dr. Jan Resnick

By Therapy Harley Street

“Meaning-Fullness” critiques traditional psychiatric diagnosis, advocating for an existential/phenomenological approach to mental health. We aim to explore the lived experiences on irregular perceptions of reality with an open mind. Each Saturday includes: a live dialogue between Prof. Ernesto Spinelli and an International Existential Therapist; a moment to share your thoughts and feelings with the teachers; and a final integration facilitated by Bárbara Godoy. This series of ten dialogues set out to explore the multifaceted dimentions and complexities associated with Existential Therapies. It attempts to engage with various interpretations of insanity through the lens of patients often painful, confounding, and deeply unsettling life experiences. Meaning- between Prof. Ernesto Spinelli and Dr. Jan Resnick “Meaning-Fullness aims to develop an alternative approach to traditional psychiatric diagnosis of psychopathology through an understanding of the existential vacuum and a phenomenology of language and the body. There is a growing epidemic of mental un-wellness even though there has never been so many psychiatrists and psychologists available. This contradiction demonstrates how a bio-medical approach is far too limited at best and a radical mistake, at worst. Through the use of theory, philosophical discussion and case studies, Meaning-Fullness seeks to elaborate how mental disturbance and emotional suffering, traumatic and dissociative experience, emptiness and meaninglessness, can be understood differently and then worked with in psychotherapy. When an existential/phenomenological perspective informs the therapeutic relationship, terms like treatment, healing, cure, recovery, growth and development, can be seen in a different light from the standard narratives and take on a wholly different meaning.” Dr. Jan Resnick. Dr. Jan Resnick is a senior psychotherapist, supervisor, and author. He has a PhD in Psychology (Psychoanalysis). As founder and Director of Training, he ran a Nationally Recognized and Accredited Registered Training Organisation called The Churchill Clinic for 18 years which became the largest such organisation in Australia for conferring post-graduate qualifications for training Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists. He was the Founding President of the Psychotherapists & Counsellors Association of Western Australia where he later received an Outstanding Achievement Award after serving 10 years on the Management Committee. He was an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the national journal Psychotherapy in Australia for 20 years and currently, an Advisory Board member of Blue Knot Foundation (formerly ASCA – Adult Survivors of Child Abuse). He is accredited by the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists to supervise psychiatry registrars in psychotherapy and has taught in the Advanced Psychotherapy Training Program. He has presented at many conferences including last year in Valencia, Spain for the International Association for Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, also for the Mental Health Practitioners Network of Australia, and 3 times for the RANZCP Psychotherapy Section bi-national conference. He runs a supervision group for Psychiatrists practicing psychotherapy for the past 15 years and supervises Developmental Paediatricians at the State Child Development Centre in West Perth. He has presided over 4 mental health charities and has over 100 publications including two books. His book based on his clinical work as a couples’ therapist is How Two Love, Making your Relationship Work and Last. His latest book published by Karnac Books (Oxford) is called Meaning-Fullness, Developmental Psychotherapy and the Pursuit of Mental Health, an existential/phenomenological and relational approach based on his clinical work over more than 47 years. Prof. Ernesto Spinelli was Chair of the Society for Existential Analysis between 1993 and 1999 and is a Life Member of the Society. His writings, lectures and seminars focus on the application of existential phenomenology to the arenas of therapy, supervision, psychology, and executive coaching. He is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) as well as an APECS accredited executive coach and coaching supervisor. In 2000, he was the Recipient of BPS Division of Counselling Psychology Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession. And in 2019, Ernesto received the BPS Award for Distinguished Contribution to Practice. His most recent book, Practising Existential Therapy: The Relational World 2nd edition (Sage, 2015) has been widely praised as a major contribution to the advancement of existential theory and practice. Living up to the existential dictum that life is absurd, Ernesto is also the author of an on-going series of Private Eye novels. Much family pathology is trans-generational, meaning some children may be born to endure long-lasting psychological distress, in the absence of informed assessment, identification and intervention. The course has more than 13.5 hours of intensive instruction across 16 lectures, making PA1 outstanding value for money. Obtaining the same level of knowledge from other sources would, we suggest, be far more time consuming and expensive. Each lecture is arranged around addressing parental alienation as a mental health problem for the whole family unit, focusing on processes and outcomes for each family member. The lectures are dual-designed as standalone references for a fully informed presentation on important topics and to incrementally develop knowledge, not just of parental alienation but the various issues parents and professionals encounter when in the difficult position of facing, or being tasked to assist, where this type of parental manipulation may be ongoing.
