Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of children and young people aged 8-18 years with a range of needs. Aspire Scotland is part of Aspris Children’s Services and offers specialist care and/or education services across Ayrshire. We support children and young people aged 8-18 years with a range of complex needs. This includes an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), child sexual exploitation (CSE), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and other behaviours that may challenge. At Aspire Scotland, we provide high quality care and education in safe and nurturing environments, taking full account of national standards and quality indicators. This is further emphasised by six of our children’s homes being graded as either ‘5 – Very Good’ or ‘6 – Excellent’, during their latest inspection from the Care Inspectorate. We work in partnership with families and Local Authorities to achieve the best possible outcomes. The range of services that we provide at Aspire Scotland include: Bespoke care packages and individually tailored education services provided by Aspire Scotland’s education facility, based in Kilbirnie. The campus also includes a café. Residential homes with rural environments, offering therapeutic and spacious surroundings. Experienced staff teams with staff ratios reflecting the needs of the young people, offering various levels of support and a 24-hour waking service. Access to external community support, including CAMHS, therapists and counsellors A wide range of planned activities and work experience opportunities.

Dance Republic was taken over by Miss Jenna Hunter in 2020. Miss Jenna’s industry experience and highly trained dance background has kept the school at the high standard our DR family is known for. We are based in Milnagvie and Lenzie and are proud to host a large variety of dance styles within our jam packed timetable. The Institution of Civil Engineers Scotland Museum is home to a collection of over 500 items relating to civil engineering many of which have strong local connections including a number of items relating to the Forth bridges. The collection is owned by the Scotland Region of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and under an agreement between the Region and Heriot-Watt University the collection is hosted by the University. The museum is located at Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Campus at Riccarton where most of the items are on display in cabinets in the east crush area of Level 1 of the William Arrol Building and other larger items are placed at other locations both inside and at the west end of the William Arrol Building. The museum is unattended; however, visitors are most welcome on any weekday between 7 am and 6 pm. There is an online guide which can be opened as a flip book or as a pdf file. Paper copies of the guide are also available at the museum on Level 1 (east end).
