concordia (youth service volunteers) ltd

Concordia is a charity based in Brighton. Our mission is to support people to develop skills and gain experiences so that they can thrive. We run programmes that change lives and nurture global citizens who care about each other, their local communities and the world. We are part of a global community – we work with partners and people from all over the world. All our projects are impactful - whether they are just up the road from us or on the other side of the world. We do this by working with local communities delivering programmes that respond to local needs. Concordia was founded in 1943 to recruit volunteer labour to encourage peace and reconciliation in the aftermath of the Second World War. Since then, Concordia has supported around three-quarters of a million people to undertake incredible programmes that support local communities all over the world. Our work as a charity supplies five core services: CYA (Concordia Youth Action), International Volunteering, NCS (National Citizens Service), Seasonal Workers Programme and our Wellbeing Programme. Although all our programmes vary, they are all motivated by our desire to make the world a better place. CYA (Concordia Youth Action) Concordia works to improve local communities across Sussex. The young people we work with locally are passionate about making positive change and we help them do so. London Academy of Irish Dance

london academy of irish dance

In September 2016 the London Academy was launched in East London by champion level dancer Erin Coyle. The aim was to provide Irish dance and culture activities to the people from what used to be a heavily Irish influenced area. Erin, who is of Irish descent and grew up in East London, has been dancing since the age of seven and quickly fell in love with the sport and regularly competed all over England until the age of fifteen. After finishing college, and spending a few years establishing a career as a chef in Michelin star restaurants, Erin was offered a job in House of Lords which gave her the weekends off, so at the age of 21, she came back to Irish Dance. In was a matter of months Erin started to compete and quickly climbed to championship level again. Since then she has gained 2nd at All Irelands, 3rd at British, Irish and German Open and in 2018 became a world medal holder for the first time after placing 11th place at the WIDA World Championships. Erin combines her love of travel and Irish dancing and has attended feis (Irish dance competitions) all over Europe including Latvia, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Romania as well as all over the UK and Ireland. Travelling is highly encouraged at London Academy as Erin believes it brings new, fun and exciting experiences to dancers and helps to promote Irish dance in areas where the interest is still building. London Academy now offers classes all over London for dancers of all ages (including adults) and abilities. The academy focuses heavily on making Irish dance a fun and interesting way to keep fit and for those who wish to do so may compete and will be provided all the support they need to reach their goals.

Multiflex School Sports

multiflex school sports

Altrincham

ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum. The areas are as follows: Athletics Dance Gymnastics Invasion Games Striking and Fielding Net and Wall

London Examinations Board

london examinations board

Waltham Cross

London Examinations Board only promotes superior internationally recognized courses. We are primarily a distance learning provider, but recognize that not everyone is comfortable with distance learning. Therefore LEB has approved select colleges and institutions in certain jurisdictions to offer student support and, if preferred, face to face classroom learning in addition to LEB’s online delivery platform. These colleges and institutions become LEB Approved Learning Centres. Quality assurance visits and training on the London Examinations Board learning platform are carried out by us before formal centre approval is given. Annual reviews are also undertaken to ensure processes, procedures and quality assurance are maintained. LEB Approved Learning Centres will usually provide additional tutoring will provide administrative and other support to the learners. Learners will have full access to our online learning platform. You will therefore be able to enjoy the benefits of our online learning platform which is truly interactive and harnesses the power of social networking to make learning fun, collaborative and engaging. It is a perfectly safe and secure network for learners to interact and learn from tutors and from each other. If there is no LEB Approved Learning Centre near you, please contact us. We are always looking for new partner colleges and institutions so that we can offer you more learning mode choices. LONDON EXAMINATIONS BOARD PROGRAMMES ACCREDITED BY UNIVERSITY PARTNERS London Examination Board has partnered with various universities in the UK, Australia, USA and Europe who have accredited some of our degree programmes. These Universities recognise our academic programmes by allocating them credits against their own undergraduate and/or postgraduate degrees. These Universities therefore only require LEB graduates to top-up their LEB awards rather than undertake the Universities whole programme. This reduces the cost to the students and allows us to help students more.

We regularly work with... other bodies engaged in the training of clergy and lay preachers, to whom we are able to offer tutors with special skills in different aspects of preaching who can contribute to training programs and events already planned seminars and workshops prepared and run by the College, tailored to meet specific learning needs We believe that... preaching is God's calling faithful preaching is vital to the life of the church and the sharing of the gospel preaching should be fresh, biblical and directly relevant to contemporary experience and events there are different ways of preaching and it is important to explore and develop them all preachers can learn from each other.

Citizens Rights Project

citizens rights project

London

Information is vital to make sure people enjoy their rights. This is why in our organisation we place special emphasis on our outreach activity. We organise online and face-to-face information sessions about the EU Settlement Scheme and the impact of Brexit on EU citizens rights for different audiences. Since our foundation, we have organised more than 70 information sessions, visited more than 30 locations in Scotland and spoke to hundreds of EU citizens, employers, local authorities and third sector organisations. Outreach and drop-in clinics for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and their family members These sessions are aimed at informing attendees of the measures they need to take in order to remain in Scotland after Brexit. Although not exclusively, we organise this type of session focusing on three main sectors: ? EU citizens living outside of Scotland’s central belt ? EU citizens, anywhere in Scotland, requiring interpretation ? Vulnerable EU citizen groups and individuals, throughout Scotland. This type of support is extremely important for EU citizens in Scotland who are concerned about what would happen to their rights after Brexit. As we know from our previous outreach and information work, there are still many EU citizens who are not sure about how to apply, have faced difficulties in making application or simply don’t know that they have to undergo this process to reside legally in the UK after 30/06/2021. In these sessions, attendees learn what the EU Settlement Scheme is; when and how to apply; their rights as an EU citizen living in Scotland; and services and resources to support them. Depending on the type and length of the event, attendees needing help with the application process can either book individual appointments with a trained OISC Level 1 (limited to the EUSS) adviser or get help on the spot.
