B&E Together has been established as a Not for Profit company established with 2 main objectives: 1. To benefit young people and communities across South Yorkshire by providing a dedicated Employer Engagement and Work Related Learning service that delivers: Inspirational and educational work experience placements. Inspiring and valuable opportunities for developing knowledge and skills vital for entering the 21st century work place. New horizons within the world of work, locally, nationally and internationally. 2. To provide local people with secure employment whilst working to deliver a valuable service that provides long term, sustainable benefits to the people, communities and economy of South Yorkshire. We are looking to the future and by setting a personal example our staff team of skilled, dedicated entrepreneurs are providing inspiration to the young people of South Yorkshire about the vast possibilities that career pathways and future employment can offer. B&E Together Ltd has been formed around a new business model that is based on introducing new technologies and a younger dynamic into the staff team whilst retaining the core skills, abilities and best practice developed over many years of successfully delivering high quality work experience placements.

Our primary purpose is to provide a hub for the global Nonviolent Communication (NVC) community — a platform for experienced trainers to teach what they love to those who want to learn. We have worked with hundreds of certified trainers, experts in their own rite, who have come to us with their own diverse experience and knowledge from various walks of life. We are connectors, offering a space for trainers and individuals to come together. Mission: The NVC Academy’s mission is to facilitate access to NVC training to individuals worldwide, regardless of the availability of trainers in their immediate geographic region and financial situation. We believe: Every student deserves a great career Students need support in order to also believe that they are entitled to a great career. Education and industry must collaborate to engage with students to make that difference. The level of engagement must resonate so significantly that it has a profound impact on the students. That this, in turn, will have a profound impact on the quality of graduates Which will have a profound impact on industry. And the student, now working in industry, will complete the circle and have a profound impact on the next generation of students. The Challenge Curriculum cannot keep pace with industry developments. Industry and education lack the processes needed to engage at the individual level we would aspire to. Outreach activities create awareness of STEM careers, but it's not "enough". In order to develop aspirations and accelerate skills, additional levels of engagement are needed. Activities feel as if they happen to students rather than with students and for students. Students are a ‘person'... not just 'stats and numbers'. We believe we are not resonating closely enough with students. It's about more than this year's recruitment or next year's jobs. Its about a long-term, strategic sustainable pipeline of inspired individuals who will inspire the next generation.

International Academy of Trading

The International Academy of Trading was born out of necessity. Our teaching faculty is comprised of experienced traders and educators who have a huge amount of experience not only working behind the dealing desk but most importantly profitably trading capital over many years. Having worked in the industry and seen tens of thousands of retail traders speculate on the financial markets, all too often people make mistakes and lose their capital. Even when trader gets a trade “right” and the market moves in the direction that was anticipated, unfortunately the trade can get wiped out in the process. All too often this is due to a poor understanding of leverage and risk management. Trading can be very rewarding but without sound fundamental underpinning and tried and tested methodologies, the trader is at a statistical disadvantage and is likely to lose. This is compounded when individuals try and chase their losses or use untested methodologies which will ultimately lead to capital loss. The International Academy of Trading provides real sustainable techniques and a relentless approach to avoiding common trading pitfalls. We believe in live interactive trading education as the markets are live and one cannot truly learn without the ability to ask many questions. Traders also benefit from the community aspect of the International Academy of Trading and can learn from others across the globe.

AUDE is run by an executive committee of university directors of estates that provides strategic oversight to the organisation. They make recommendations on several of the association aspects such as subscription fees and the annual budget as well as managing the election of office holders. Members vote at the AGM to apply or amend recommendations, and elect the officers. The executive committee meets four times a year, discussing and responding to matters presented by the fellow directors (directly and through regional chairs), and by the executive director and staff team. The committee receives the executive director’s quarterly report, which contains updates from each of the topic-based working groups. The meetings are also used to discuss and act on the organisation’s financial performance throughout the year. Furthermore, the meetings provide a useful sounding board and guide to the executive director, Jane White, and the AUDE team in determining the services provided to members and projects undertaken. The team comprises of five members of staff employed on permanent contracts: Executive Director (1.0 FTE) Projects and Engagement Manager (1.0FTE) Events Manager (0.8 FTE) Communications Officer (0.5 FTE) Events and Projects Officer (0.8 FTE) AUDE is a not-for-profit organisation and receives its core funding from member institution subscriptions and training and development activities. It is sustainable, with healthy financial reserves in line with its agreed financial model.

We can't change the world in Charlton Kings, but like everyone on the planet, we need to make our contribution to achieving the IPCC's target to limit global temperature rise to well under 2⁰ C. We share Cheltenham Borough Council's commitment to a carbon-neutral Cheltenham by 2030, as a contribution toward helping the UK meet its 2050 carbon neutrality target. Unless, like thousands of small communities across the world, our community takes action that sets an example, we have no moral authority to suggest to others that they should take action to protect the environment that our children must inherit from our generation. Check out our story so far on YouTube. Charlton Kings Parish Council has declared a climate emergency and is part of the Cheltenham Zero partnership. CK Futures seeks to engage the community in using it's collective imagination to work towards a sustainable future. There are many things which can be done on a local scale to have a positive influence and CK Futures works with partner organisations and the community to make change happen. The CK Futures strategy acts on the current level of awareness and acknowledges everyone lives a different life. Its aim is to inform, guide, and enable people to take an active role in carbon reduction and support the changes needed to achieve Cheltenham Zero by 2030.

Portland

This island is the beating heart that inspires b-side’s work, but our projects and opportunities extend all over Dorset and beyond. We work with and commission artists who are as excited by the bigger picture as the smallest detail. Our current ‘Common Lands’ programme regards Portland as a microcosm to explore relationships to and with land. We invite artists, residents, and researchers to create unique and inventive projects inspired by the themes of ‘people’ and ‘place’. We host big discussions on topics that affect us both locally and globally and create art that exists in unusual and unexpected places. Underpinning our approach is the recognition of the need for sustainable tourism. We want everyone to be able to experience everything we love about Portland in a way that respects and benefits the island and those who live and work there. Every two years, we produce the b-side festival, which brings new, unique art to local audiences and visitors alike, sharing incredible stories about and with the Isle of Portland, as well as the rest of the world. b-side is run by a collaborative team of artists, producers and curators with experience in visual arts, live art, performance, social practice, heritage, environment and arts education. In 2012, we were awarded funding from Arts Council England to become a National Portfolio Organisation.
