Here at Moor Park we have one firm belief: that education transforms lives. Our school mission is to ensure that all our young people are able to access higher education and participate fully in our democratic society. Our sixth form is where this mission is actualised. This year, we are proud to be able to report that our year 12 cohort is the biggest the sixth form has ever had, and we are almost at capacity for student numbers. This means sixth form is a vibrant community and our year 12 cohort have made an excellent start to the year, stepping up to the rigour of A Level study with ease. As you may know, our sixth form is unique in the central Preston area as we offer the option for both A Level and BTEC courses in a small, safe environment with a maximum class size of 10 students. This means that our expert staff are able to get to know students well, provide them with 1-1 support and ensure they are both challenged and supported academically, so all students make excellent progress. Our smaller size also allows us to ensure that students maintain social distancing, whilst providing a full face-to-face teaching timetable. This means that students have access to specialist teachers full time and online learning is only used for homework or independent learning. This is an exciting time for our sixth form, and I am proud to be a part of the journey we are on. Tucked away from bustling Church street in the historic Stratford-upon-Avon, South Warwickshire, Salt Cookery School is sat directly above our Michelin star restaurant. Cookery school leader Brett Connor delivers a warm welcome and hands on experience. He brings with him a wealth of experience from highly rated Michelin star and AA rosette restaurants and hotels. We will be delivering a wide range of courses from bread, pasta and pastries to dinner parties and perfect Christmas dinners. We are very easy to get to, sitting in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon and very close proximity to the Cotswolds. Our cookery school is also available as a chefs table where our chefs will cook our michelin star food in front of your eyes. We will also be hosting guest chef events where we invite some of the best chefs in the country to come and cook their menu in our cookery school. We chose to partner with Miele when creating our cookery school as their brand value fit ours. Miele are the leading kitchen appliance provider, the products are designed to last, and tested to the equivalent of 20 years use. In our cookery school we showcase the Miele Generation 7 Steam ovens, the full surface intelligent pan recognition induction hobs, the Generation 7 state of the art Miele Dialog oven along with some other great products such as the automatic dispensing dishwasher, Miele fridges, Miele warming drawer, extraction unit and coffee machine.

Our national training programme is admired around the world for the quality of it content and the knowledge of the expert practitioners who deliver it. We have trained over 5,300 Knowledge Exchange practitioners from 40 countries, including 400 in China. PraxisAuril is a founding member of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP), driving global professional standards and recognition through RTTP accreditation. Children's first sporting experience is so important as it can influence them to go on to better things if taught properly. This is done through upskilling teachers, instructors and sports coaches in how to deliver high-quality PE and martial arts lessons. I am a qualified school teacher my specialist subject is physical education (PE) I'm also a martial arts instructor and I started training in Taekwondo in 1986 at Panther Taekwondo, I gained my black belt in 1990 and wanted a new challenge, so I started going on different coaching courses to increase my coaching knowledge. While studying for my teaching degree I joined an organisation called Teachsport. With Teachsport, I went on to develop a school's martial arts program which involves going into primary schools and teaching children taekwondo and fitness. Once I graduated from University, I decided to introduce martial arts as a PE option to our Teachsport programme to help children with their coordination and confidence. We now run numerous after- school clubs throughout London and the south east, covering a range of different sports. I have recently gained the status of vice president at Panther Taekwondo and Song Moo Kwan England my duties include safeguarding and wellbeing of students and instructors. I now work in schools in Haringey, Lewisham and Redbridge teaching PE and supporting teachers in how to deliver good to outstanding PE.
