Diamond Dance was established by Sian Pargetor in 2010 and started with a few basic lessons on a Saturday, to include a baby class, Tap, Ballet and Modern examination work. It wasn’t long before the timetable grew and additional classes were added. It began with the addition of an Acrobatics class, quickly followed by Street dance, private lessons and Festival class and in more recent years the addition of Contemporary and Musical Theatre. The first ever Diamond Dance show was held at the Community Centre back in 2011 with a small showcase. In 2013 Dance Infinity was established and is now a bi-annual show put on by all the pupils at the school. With the schools growth in 2013 and 2015 the shows were performed at Blue Coat Theatre and new from 2017 Dance Infinity moved to the Albany Theatre. Diamond Dance is involved in many Community events and has been seen at the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey, Godiva Festival, local fetes, Supermarket events, and Chaplin’s Princess Ball to name a few. Sian is keen to take part in these events as it gives the pupils extra performance opportunities. Please get in touch if you would like us to perform at your event. Pupils can expect to be given incredible workshop opportunities whilst attending Diamond Dance both at the Studios and outside events. A favourite is the bi-annual trip to Butlin’s Skegness where Diamond Dance take part in the British Theatre Dance Association Gala weekend. However, it’s not all about the dancing. Sian made friends for life when she was a dancer at the Sylvia Bird Dance School and hopes that the pupils of Diamond Dance will make these same lifelong friendships. Therefore, you will often see us on trips to the theatre or the parents on a night out. It all adds to the friendly atmosphere that is part of the school. For many years the school was based at its local Community Centre and hired the space per session. However, in August 2017 Diamond Dance moved to its new premises and their own Dance Studios. Diamond Studios consists of three studio spaces, a parents waiting area and even hosts a “chill out room” for its pupils. The space is available to hire and you should contact the studios if you are interested in this.

This has over time evolved into a program which holistically develops the cognition, physical skills, social interaction, imagination, creativity, communication, autonomy, musicality, confidence and love of learning in little ones. Over the 10 years Babylove has been running Claire has identified a real need to offer mums more support. To do this skillfully she has teamed up with LushTums founder Clare Maddalen, an inspiration in the ante natal, birth and post natal world. Currently Claire is completing Ante Natal training with Clare through her amazing Lush Tums Program. People often tell me that they love watching dance and would love to do it themselves. When I ask them why they don't, I am often met with the answers "I''ve got two left feet" or "It would be too embarrassing". I have even heard the shocking response: "I was laughed at in the last class I attended". Dance is supposed to be fun; it is about enjoying our bodies and seeing what they can do. I have been dancing since I was three years old, I can't imagine living without dance as a way of expression. I would love for those who already love dance, or who would like to be involved in dance but feel too self-concious, to join me in a fun relaxed environment. I truly believe that dance is for everybody.

Dance has always been a part of Sevgi's life and journey. She started dancing on the folk dance team in primary school. She wanted to try something different in high school and was introduced to contemporary dance. An amateur girl was performing on the dance team. During her early years at university, the latin rhythm and culture took her to a different path. She took different latin dance lessons such as salsa, bachata, zumba, kizomba, cha cha, pasodoble. She participated in international dance workshops / training camps and competitions. Later she realized that she had more fun and satisfaction while teaching, she decided to pass on her knowledge to people. That's why she got a dance instructor certificate in Salsa with the encouragement of her instructors. Since then she has been teaching dance at both dance studios and international festivals.

Mayes School of Performing Arts, established in 2019, offers weekly lessons in Singing, Acting and Dancing for 7-18 year olds. Towards the end of each two-hour session, all students will come together to showcase what has been learned throughout the evening - we feel that showcasing at the end of each session is really important, and by performing to each other, the students are building confidence, whilst also having the opportunity to reflect on other’s work. Your child will be placed into a group based on their age, but these groups are interchangeable, and we will move students around based on their ability once we have worked with them for a few weeks. We run 1 session per week in Haverhill The 2-hour session costs £10. Note our sessions take place during term-time only.

The O’Gara School of Irish Dance was formed in January 2006 when Viv O’Gara passed her TCRG exam.  As of Jan 2008 the school had grown to over 100 pupils in the short space of two years. In 2011 the School had expanded to such an extent that Viv decided to teach full time. In 2013 Claire Saxon passed her TCRG and now also teaches at the school. The school's aim is to teach as many children as possible the wonderful art of Irish dancing whilst having fun and keeping costs to a minimum.  Classes are based in Reading or Didcot and the school is registered with An Chomhdhail. She also strives to build learner strategies for those with special educational needs such as dyslexia. Lessons will enable you to have fun, fall in love with the vocal instrument and help you reach for the stars!    Vox Stars also offer 5 star rated workshops , they focus on a variety of exhilarating themes from Disney to Pop stars. Event days include a room draped in themed decor, action packed singing and dancing activities to brilliant music, fun drama and performance explorations, exciting games and themed crafts. To make the day extra awesome we provide prizes and party bags, refreshments and snacks, and area for parents to relax with hot drinks and nibbles. Kids workshops focus on creating, making, performing, learning through singing and music, film and friendship based activities. Private workshop style parties can also be arranged with Vox Stars!
