MistryMaths is a unique and unparalleled website that offers enterprising, innovative, engaging and high impact mathematics lessons and materials for a variety of people from students, teachers, lecturers, parents, schools, universities, education consultants and professionals. The author is Manoj Mistry and his work has proved immensely popular so very quickly. His work has gained over one million downloads and he was nominated for a 2013 Times Educational Supplement Award for his resource contribution to the education sector. Manoj is on a mission to change the face of mathematics education in the UK and abroad. He has started an eventful journey in banishing the stereotype of mathematics education being dull, inaccessible and worksheet based. Manoj wants to help tackle the skills shortage of mathematicians in the UK and challenge the notion that it is ok to be innumerate. No one ever confesses to being illiterate. There is a clear structure to every lesson with a minimum of three parts (majority of lessons are split into more). Lessons have been planned with OFSTED grading criteria in mind. The use of a yellow background is to help with retention. Not only is content being taught but links are readily made with skills that students can transfer into the outside world. Manoj would like to acknowledge the creativity of Laura Rees-Hughes and Tristan Jones for the work they have uploaded on www.tes.co.uk. Their creative ideas have inspired a number of different activities within his lessons. Manoj is passionate about improving the life chances of young people and bringing the UK back on the map as a pioneer in mathematics education. He has received countless praise and plenty of lovely messages from a variety of people he has never met from around the world, mentioning how much he has changed their lives and the learning experiences of students for the better. An educational institution messaged him saying they often hold exclusive meetings on how they can incorporate his resources into their scheme of work. Through desire, graft and word of mouth he has built up a brand in education, called MistryMaths, which is rapidly becoming well-renowned around the UK.

Tricia Johnson is an artist working across an extensive variety of arts disciplines. She studied Art & Design in the Midlands before moving to the Sussex coast and gaining a B.A. (Hons) Degree. She then went on to achieve various teaching qualifications. She enjoys the challenge and exploration found in absorbing new methods and processes. This has enabled her over the past 20 years to teach a wide variety of art courses across West Sussex. Her sculpture work featured nationally on ITV’s morning programme and exhibitions include West Dean College and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, West Sussex. She also had the privilege of exhibiting her work in the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition, Tokushima, Japan. Along with exhibitions at; Banks Mill Studios Derby, The Art House Wakefield, neo: Gallery Bolton, Gallery@OXO Oxo Tower Wharf South Bank London, Hong Kong Baptist University Hong Kong and Cube gallery Moscow. After a period focusing on other disciplines, Tricia returned to printmaking and the joy of the process is what pushes her work forward creatively. Learning different printing methods has helped her to begin experimenting with distinctive approaches to her prints and printing style. Tricia continues to enjoy drawing and working painterly with a variety of mixed media, developing her own instinctive style over many other art disciplines.

Grayson Education was founded in 2013 with the aim of offering Chinese students the opportunity to access British Education. We set our base in the coastal city of Dalian and launched our first project within this city: a summer school course for Chinese students between the ages of 10-18. The two week programme was held at the prestigious Ardingly College in England, and consisted of intensive English classes and excursions to Oxford, Cambridge and the thrilling Thorpe Park. Due to the excellent marketing management, the programme was a resounding success, attracting more than 30 students. Alongside organizing summer school programmes, Grayson Education also provides an exclusive school placement service. Through working with our partners in both England and China, 2014 alone, has seen Grayson Education place students at some of the finest Independent schools in Britain. A partnership between Grayson Education and Siven Group. At Grayson, we understand that most students will require additional English language tuition beyond what is taught within schools throughout China before embarking on studies in England. Therefore, Grayson Education has begun working closely with Siven Learning Centre, in order to provide students with specialized English Language tuition, taught by qualified British teachers and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) holders. The Greek Community School at St. Cyprian’s, an amalgamation of Tooting, Croydon and Streatham district community schools, was established in the year 2000. This coincided with the opening of our community’s first Greek Orthodox state primary school St. Cyprian’s in whose premises we operate every Saturday. We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all our students. Working with the curriculum designed for community schools by the Ministry of Education of Cyprus, our own curriculum and offer includes cultural, religious, geographical and historical topics relating to Greece, Cyprus and the Diaspora.
