The Cambridge Information and Intellectual Property Meeting (CIIPM) was founded by Jane List of Extract Information and Stuart Newbold of Patent Search & Information Management in 2015. CIIPM hosts an ‘annual’ meeting and provides training in IP matters and patent information search and analysis. The CIIPM meeting provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing for those engaged with the commercialisation of technologies using intellectual property, and those needing information to make legal and commercial decisions. The annual meeting offers an afternoon of talks, workshops, and discussions, a small exhibition, networking opportunities, and has hosted a post graduate student poster competition. CIIPM also provides unique training courses blending theory and practice in IP Matters, IP Commercialisation, and Patent Searching for Legal and Commercial Insights. Training courses take place throughout the year virtually and at venues in Cambridge, UK, or by arrangement at your office or other location. Following the March 2022 meeting CIIPM have established a programme committee to help us maintain the strong programme and networking. We are very pleased that Claudia Duffy, Innovare IP, Isla Furlong, Director of Intellectual Property, PetMedix Ltd. Anne Jones, Senior Customer Success, ACS / CAS , Rob Mann, IP Manager, PragmatIC, Kerry Rees, Partner, HGF and Sam Winders, PatSnap have agreed to join the programme committee. The theme and programme for the 2023 meeting will be announced from September 2022.

Network Integrity Systems Inc. (NIS) was founded in 2003 in Conover, North Carolina, USA, when optical engineers and management personnel from a global fiber optics leader were asked to address a requirement from the Department of Defense to develop an improved solution for physically protecting secure fiber optic networks in and around The Pentagon. This resulted in the development of the INTERCEPTOR™ Optical Network Security System, which meets National Security Agency requirements and provides superior protection of fiber-optic data and telecommunications lines for military and government secure networks. In subsequent years, NIS received funding from the US Army Intelligence & Security Command (INSCOM) and the US Air Force Information Warfare Battlelab to accelerate technology development and make enhancements to the INTERCEPTOR product line. Since then, NIS has received thirty-six (36) U.S. and Foreign Patents that have made INTERCEPTOR the brand standard in network infrastructure security as it has been successfully deployed in multiple theaters around the globe to monitor U.S. government classified networks. Today, we are offering this same level of data protection to critical infrastructure, private enterprise and foreign governments with our VANGUARD product line. And, utilizing the same state-of-the-art sensor technologies, NIS has expanded into the perimeter security market with our Sentinel Perimeter Intrusion Detection System, making NIS an Integrated Cyber and Physical Security solutions provider.

The ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL) is co-funded with the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union (Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education). ANGEL project is a convergence of ASEAN partner institutions’ responses to the strong need for capacity-building while confronting challenges of environmental degradation. In addition, ANGEL aims to support graduates as well as disadvantaged groups to attain a decent income which is derived from quality employment, and enhanced with entrepreneurial-leadership skills. Another goal is to help improve inclusiveness, because gender and other demographic divides exist and derail wealth creation across the ASEAN nations. The mission of ANGEL is to engender impact and transformation for two major target stakeholders of each partner institution in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Malaysia. The first target group is the internal stakeholders, namely students, academic and non-academic staff, and top management. Within the context of Southeast Asian institutions, the green entrepreneurial mindset and transformational leadership skills and competencies are still new concepts and less implemented. The second target group of ANGEL are the disadvantaged groups within societies in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Malaysia. This includes women and minorities, poor income groups in both urban and rural communities as well as people with disabilities (PWD). The Asian partners are supported by universities and institutions from Greece and Cyprus.
