OIBC was launched in 1992 in order to improve health and the quality of life across the globe by promoting access to learning and research. Its maxim at that time was cooperation: cooperation between developed and developing countries; cooperation between academic and industrial institutions; cooperation between scientists, medical doctors and the public. Since then, other organisations have stepped in to promote one of our original aspirations, namely better cooperation between universities and industrial institutions. But the other aspirations remain, and over the last decade we have focussed particularly on youngsters in so far as better communication between scientists, medical doctors and the public is concerned. So now, our current strategy may be summarised as follows. VISION OIBC’s vision is of a world in which wider access to scientific learning brings better health and quality of life. PURPOSE OIBC’s purpose is to realise our vision through educational projects for all generations and especially for the young through building greater understanding of scientific and biomedical issues, MISSION OIBC’s mission is to bring together leading biomedical experts with all schools and lay adults, via live and recorded seminars, lectures and debates, to promote better communication skills and awareness and to create opportunities for all to appreciate science and biomedical issues. VALUES OIBC values its independence, its non-political, charitable status and its expert scientific leadership. We value the acquisition of knowledge by all, and we value the enhancement of education and awareness, best practice and management of life skills, which contribute significantly to public health and well-being. We value greatly the support from Foundations, Charitable Trusts and individuals. BELIEFS OIBC believes in cooperation between scientific experts and the public, between business and complementary organisations, between the developed world and countries striving to enhance their health and quality of life. Football DNA was started in 2018 by football professionals Stewart England & Jimmy Walker with the ambition to support football coaches and players with an outstanding platform for them to access. Stewart & Jimmy are obsessed with football and helping develop all ages and levels throughout the beautiful game. At the they highlighted that many coaches struggled to plan and develop their own football coaching practices and sessions. Being involved in the professional game and drawing upon personal experiences they started to create and build a library of video coaching content that could really benefit coaches at all levels of the game. The platform gives coaches access to hundreds of coaching practices and full sessions on video that are perfect for grassroots football coaching and up to the elite levels of the game from U5 – Adults. Not only do coaches get unlimited access to the existing library, brand new content is added each week to help keeping coaching sessions fresh and exciting. The practices and sessions have been created and developed by a range of top quality professional coaches working at the highest levels of the game from first team to academy age groups. Our range of coaches include Celtic FC 1st Team Coach Gavin Strachan, Crystal Palace 1st Team Coach Shaun Derry, West Ham Academy Coach Ross Brooks. From this initial idea, the Football DNA platform expanded to providing content for players to develop their skills using the Individual Skills Program. The ISP is an interactive learning tool for players to challenge themselves and progress through different skill levels in their own environment. Adding to this are specialist sport science and nutrition areas. Players can access gym programs and pitch-based sessions from top level coaches involved in the professional game.

Our mission is to build capacity within the community education sector. We aim to: Grow our consortium of supplementary schools across the Greater Manchester area. Share teaching, research, capital and human resources across the consortium. Focus on teaching core curriculum subjects (English, Maths and Sciences). Use digital, creative education and training as well as heritage studies as media for teaching core curriculum subjects. Provide high quality, academically relevant extra-curricular enrichment activities across the consortium. Support volunteer teachers across the consortium with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT). Support CPD and ITT with high quality community-led research Form partnerships with educational, cultural and social providers to continually strengthening our educational provision within the communities we serve. Expand our programme of community lifelong learning initiatives. Mentor young people in employability and enterprise skills. Develop education and enterprise programmes which include apprenticeship programmes. Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills success at MEaP With our joint responsibilities for teacher training plus curriculum and teacher mentoring, we are very excited about our plans for the Continuing Professional Development of all of our staff. We run workshops which give people the opportunity to learn a new skill, to meet new people and have fun. Each workshop is different, in the past we have run workshops marbling, playing with clay, beeswax wrap making, making an art attack and a fire engine! Monthly Creative Workshops: we run affordable monthly workshops are for adults of all abilities. You do not need any creative experience to attend any of the workshops and we make them as accessible as possible. One off Workshops: run one off workshops for all ages and are often commissioned to create workshops for specific groups or projects. Commissioned workshops: We at Myriad love creating workshops which are tied into events, causes, projects or are wonderfully extraordinary! We have been commissioned to create workshops for many other people and organisations. We are a creative bunch and if you have an idea or something you want made, we can make it into a workshop! We love a challenge! A bit more about us as an organisation… Myriad’s Vision: Myriad’s vision is a society where everyone has confidence in their creativity, regularly enjoys creating wonderful things and engaging with the arts. Myriad’s Mission: To run workshops that bring people together in a fun, relaxed and social environment to nurture their creative confidence and develop their skills. We have met too many people who believe they are not creative, and that are put off participating in any arts project because of fear. We believe that everyone is creative, that they are capable of making amazing things and can get a lot of enjoyment from doing so. We know that sometimes people just need to learn skills to express their creativity and need support and feedback to help them build their confidence, in a non-pressure environment.
