Lowland Rescue Association Mark was a founding member and training officer for the first Lowland Rescue Team in Wales, Mon-SAR from 2015 – 2017 and has the following qualifications Lowland Rescue Search Technician Search Party Leader Instructor Search Manager and Planner Lowland Rescue Search Technician Assessor TAQA – Training, Assessment & Quality Assurance, Level 3 IQA – Internal Quality Assurance, Level 4 SARMAN software qualified for search management Specialist Search Dogs Mark is a qualified, assessed by David Jones and Gavin Roberts, cadaver search dog handler with his spaniel ‘Missy’. He has delivered presentations at seminars for land and water search with search dogs, as well as conducted ongoing searches in the UK for missing persons. Mark has also attended IKAR conferences for continued professional development. Whilst working as a consultant for International Rescue Training Centre Wales, he also help develop the Dangerous Dogs Handling course and delivered it to numerous candidates in the UK and also to environment agency and council officers in Northern Ireland. Also whilst at IRTCW he also helped organise, deliver and present at two specialist water search seminars, the first at Hawley Lake by Gibraltar Barracks and then at Trent Lock, Nottingham. Rafting in Nepal In 2003 he was part of a team providing the first commercial white water rafting expeditions with Equator Expeditions, undertaking an expedition on the mighty Sunkoshi River as well as the upper and lower sections of Bohte Koshi.

Walking - head straight on when you enter RWY, go past the green on the left, then past the marina on your right, the Make at 140 shop is just on the left after the current black hoarding. If you see a red phone box you have gone past the shop entrance. Driving - Enter Royal William Yard, follow their one way system, so turn left just after you enter. Follow the one way all the way around the yard until you come back around towards the entrance/exit. Look for a red phone box on your right hand side before the water on your left. We are just after the phone box on the right hand side. Opposite the Restaurant The Clubhouse. Parking - If you need to park you can park all the way along the back wall, kind of in the middle and you can cut through the side road to Make. Or drive round towards the red phone box and before the phone box turn right into a stone gate, turn immediately right into the garage and either park there if space or through to the other side where there is lots of room.

The Climate Centre’s mission is to help the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its partners reduce the impacts of climate change and extreme-weather events on vulnerable people. In recent decades, there has been a sharp increase in weather-related disasters with climate change and there is an urgent need to manage the rising risk of extreme-weather events through better early-warning, disaster relief and risk reduction, and with climate-smart programmes for health and care, water and sanitation, and food security. Our approach, working at the intersection of science, policy, and practice, is detailed in our Strategy 2021−2025. A core objective is to make the best global scientific insights operable at local level. Key elements include support for awareness-raising and capacity-building, especially in developing countries whose people are the most vulnerable to climate change. Policy needs to be geared toward climate-smart planning, including better dialogues involving a wide range of stakeholders. The Climate Centre focuses primarily on providing guidance and tools to National Societies and their partners, and fostering the exchange of experience, training and technical back-up for Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers, delegates and managers specializing in disaster risk management and health. In the international arena we facilitate access to climate-related channels of funding and advocate for support to the most vulnerable people in debates on climate policy, especially the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the annual UN climate talks, but also related international discussions on development and humanitarian policy and finance.

About I became interested in holistic and complementary therapies in 1994 after I was invited to an aromatherapy party. I didn't have a clue what aromatherapy was! I had been suffering with eczema on my hands for 14 years. I had tried wearing cotton gloves and plastic gloves and I had used all the steroid creams available. Nothing worked and I was told to live with it. At the party I bought a Tea Tree Oil cream and some Seaweed Bubble Bath and was told this will help. Even though I thought -"rubbish"- I figured I had nothing to lose, so every night I soaked my hands in a bowl of seaweed bath water, and piled on the cream.....and in 3 months my eczema was gone..... ....AND I WAS HOOKED, SO I DECIDED TO GET QUALIFIED..... I have been passionate since then, and have trained in many forms of massage, reflexology, reiki, aromatherapy and stress management. As well as attending many seminars, workshops and conferences. I became Committee Secretary for the Federation Of Small Businesses Arun and District Branch in 2002 and I was their Chairman and representative for 3 years from 2009. I attended National Conference in Newport and Scarborough and had meetings with many Councillors and MP's In May 2011, I became Manager of the Arundel and Littlehampton branch of Mumpreneurs Networking Club and left after 4 years and now I am the Coordinator of the Federation of Holistic Therapists Worthing Local Support Group and Ambassador for the FHT (Federation Of Holistic Therapists)

MY OWN EXPERIENCE SET ME ON THE PATH TO HELP MUMS LIKE YOU TO AVOID THE KIND OF BIRTH I HAD THE FIRST TIME, AND GET THE KIND OF BIRTH I HAD THE SECOND TIMEHi, I am Eleanor and I started out my parenting journey by having a textbook-perfect first pregnancy. I did NCT classes (which were nice but not particularly informative), and like so many people these days found a Hypnobirthing class. the whole calm, relaxed and natural birth totally appealed to me (I mean who doesn’t it appeal to?) and I had been doing yoga for years so perfect fit right? Wrong! Alarm bells should have really rung when in one of the self-hypnosis sessions, I found myself peering through one open eye to see if everyone else had subconsciously lifted up their hand. I am creative and intuitive but I am a practical down-to-earth person at heart, and this self-hypnosis stuff seemed, well, a bit of an unknown quantity. My fantasy home water birth kick-started on Sat 14 November 2008. The first day was all focused breathing, affirmations and deep relaxation (well, as much as you can with full on contractions)! Day 2 was more intensive but the hypnobirthing went right out of the window. The problem is that it just wasn’t ENOUGH. I didn’t actually KNOW WHAT DO when a contraction happened. I literally was tearing my hair out looking at the 1 sheet of paper with some suggestions of birthing positions from the NCT.
