bannockburn primary school

The current Bannockburn Primary School building was built in 1965 and has 18 rooms, a support learning base, a nursery class, a large hall, a dining room and kitchen. An extension to the main building was completed in November 1993. This accommodates some of our Early Years classes. In 2020/2021 we will have 17 classes in the school including three classes in our Autism Provision and our Nursery. We have an Autism Provision (AP) for children who have a language and communication difficulty. Whenever possible the children are included in mainstream classes and can be supported by teaching staff and our support for learning assistants.

Nadene Lees, our school nurse, along with a nursing colleague have arranged to visit our school once a month to provide a confidential ‘drop-in’ service to provide advice on any health related matter (i.e. physical and/or mental health) that your child may be experiencing; this may involve ‘signposting’ to another support service that may be better placed to address specific difficulties/issues. The visit this month will take place on FRIDAY 10th February between 8.40am and 9.30am. If you would like to use this service, please come along to the school reception from 8.40am (but no later than 9.15am). Subsequent visit dates will be advertised in the school newsletter, on the school website, and via the school app in advance of each visit.

Cramond Primary is a non-denominational school built in 1975. The school serves the village of Cramond and the surrounding areas of northwest Edinburgh. We are part of the Royal High School cluster and work closely with the other associated primaries of Blackhall, Clermiston and Davidson’s Mains. The school roll is over 400 pupils

Burnbrae Primary is a large, modern, non-denominational school over two campuses, that serves the area of Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. We have a large Nursery and Complex Needs Provision at Burnbrae Early situated on a Joint Campus with St Mary’s RC Primary. At the Burnbrae Road Campus we have a Social and Complex Needs Provision in addition to 20 classes in our mainstream school.
