I set up Albany Pet Services with the support of the Princes Trust Charity. After university I took some routes down the corporate route. I had visions that lunches in London and walking past the Heron tower and the Gherkin would carrying my Kate Spade handbag would fulfil me but it didn’t! In search of more meaning in my work, I joined a charity and learnt about the power of how dogs learn. It fascinated me how much trust a person could place in their dogs and how clever dogs were. From here, after my contract ended, I started Albany Pet Services. I’m fascinated by neuroscience and how it can help to build habits and reach goals. I look at a pets behaviour from a holistic approach. It’s important for me to understand a pet’s behaviour from their early life experiences and previous reinforcement that makes them behave this way. Sometimes the need the pet is desiring is not always food so it’s important for me to look at a behaviour from a motivation perspective. I believe training can help a pet be safe in our busy world, and when done correctly can be an excellent preventative strategy for behavioural challenges. Consent is key, for human and non human learners. My training service can help you to feel more confident with your dog and help you to stress less. I have spent hundreds of hours studying, reading, writing reports and training and I would love to share what I have learnt to overcome the particular challenge you’re experiencing. I volunteer for the Blue Cross providing talks for children in schools about canine choice, pet care and staying safe around dogs. This is really important to me as many dog bites can be preventable. When I am not working with people and their pets, I enjoy watching and participating in my local theatre and running group. I also love singing and dancing ( I’m yet to master them but I enjoy them nevertheless!). Flying a plane is the next goal!

We’ve spent more than 10 years training thousands of migrants to speak out. Most of our work involves training our members to speak to mainstream media, but we also run creative projects – photography and film-making, for example – and provide training in writing blogs and articles, using social media, and public speaking. We equip people with the skills and confidence to tell their story in the most effective way – skills that are also useful in everyday life. We share our knowledge about how the media works, how to understand public attitudes and how to craft a message that cuts through the noise. My career as an artist started in 1996 when I was asked to illustrate articles from a national religious magazine in Italy. Through the years I developed skills in both digital illustration and hand paint with watercolour and acrylic. In 2002 I decided to take it further and attend a school of art and, in 2005, I graduated as a Comics illustrator and special effects artist. Since I was always attracted by the movie world, I decided to use my new certificate to approach this fantastic world. I worked few years for a production company which took me away from my Country of origin and gave me the opportunity to develop my skills as an artist and writer. I wrote several screenplays for the big screen and illustrated storyboards on a daily basis and here is when I started thinking about writing and illustrating stories for children. “The first tale of Sarah” in fact was born as an idea for a children’s movie but not developed more than a script. In 2015 I moved in the UK and I started working on my first personal project “The Tale of Sarah”, a three books series which I’m writing and illustrating. The first one was published in 2017 and I’m currently working on the second volume. My goal in sharing these stories is to share a message of hope with readers of all ages. As an artist I keep on developing my skills every day and trying new ways and techniques to improve my illustrations. In 2018, I enrolled BA in Illustration at the Open College of the Arts.
