Lisa is based in the Scottish Highlands and creates spaces to connect to body and land through breathwork, nature awareness, cold water therapy and ancestral skills and crafts. With 'Wild Breath' she offers workshops & retreats and facilitates experiences to connect to your inner nature, integrate the mind back into the body, craft with hands and heart, remember ancestral wisdom for modern times and come fully alive in your animal body. Lisa is a qualified breathwork instructor, trained as an outdoor educator, woodland activity guide and is currently working as part-time hide tanner for a traditional Scottish tannery. She is passionate about rewilding the inner landscape and ‘Wild Wellness’- where wilderness &ancestral skills and health & wellbeing meet, and she loves to integrate wellbeing modalities such as breathwork and meditation into wild spaces. Her offerings emerged from her own healing journey of working in a stressful academic environment. After a burn-out she took a deep dive into wellbeing modalities and dedicated herself to learn what it means to live close to the earth and in alignment with our bodies, minds and heart.  It is her joy and honour to create transformative spaces for others and to explore how we can tend to our roots and what we need to fully thrive as humans. Lisa's facilitation style is directly inspired by nature and she works in a way that provides guidance, tools and a witnessing presence for people to tap into their innate wisdom, power inside of themselves and into the healing ability of their bodies. With practical tools and a deeper understanding of our biology and what we need to thrive, everyone has the ability to thrive and rewild their inner landscape!  Experiences  Lisa has a BA in Environmental Philosophy and an MSc from Edinburgh University in Outdoor and Environmental Education with her masters research focussing on the Wim Hof method and eco-somatic embodiment as a form of environmental education.  She is a qualified Breathwork Coach& Facilitator with Infinite Breath and member of the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF). She is also qualified as BREATHE instructor, trained by Dr. Belisa Vranich, specializing in functional breathing,  breath biomechanics and psychology of the breath.   As a trained woodland activity leader, she is qualified through WALT (Woodland Activity Leader Training) and also has a valid outdoor first aid qualification.  As a primitive skills practitioner she has been on an off grid wilderness immersion in Norway with Lynx Vilden to learn ancestral skills& primitive living and has since then taught at ancestral skills gatherings in Scotland and assisted Lynx at some of her courses in Norway. She is furthermore currently working as a part-time hide tanner for a traditional Scottish Tannery.  She strives to embody everything she teaches in her daily life and is continuously learning from the greatest teachers of all- nature inside and outside of us, our own body, the land, plants and animals.

Back in 2012, when husband and wife team Steven and Kirsty Le Say hosted a Spoon Carving Workshop in a friends garden on the request of a few interested neighbours. In the years since, we’ve opened up our own seaside workshop just outside of Brighton, where we host a number of courses, teaching primitive skills and bushcraft. Steve teaches overseas as well, with Living by Nature and we are regularly exhibiting crafts or teaching at various events across Europe. We’re still in Brighton currently, but will soon be moving to South Wales – into the Brecon Beacons – and our courses and workshops will be hosted from there from Feb 2023. Our new space in Wales includes workshop space, 8 acres of land, a small woodland and a stream. It’s all nestled within the Brecon Beacons National Park in stunning scenery. A hiking footpath onto the Beacons themselves, runs directly parallel to our land. We teach bushcraft and ancestral skills for all ages and levels of experience We hand craft items inspired by ancestral craft, often using primitive tools and techniques. We also create bespoke pieces on request We’re available to exhibit and teach at events. We also curate fellow craftspeople for larger events under ‘The Craft Collective’ We write regularly for The Bushcraft Journal.

BFS has a number of STAFF and VOLUNTEERS who assist in running our forest school sessions, planning activities and preparing resources. All BFS staff who lead sessions alone are fully Forest School qualified, DBS checked, First Aid trained and they hold Public Liability Insurance. They include… ANDY WILSON founded Bristol Forest School in 2004. He trained with the original Forest School cohort from Bridgwater College, and has a wealth of experience from 18 years forest school teaching. Andy runs regular Forest School sessions and parties at both the BFS woodland and in schools throughout Bristol. He also runs Forest School staff training. As Woodland Manager, Andy has successfully transformed the BFS site into a beautiful and accessible educational space; he monitors our ecological footprint through an environmentally sustainable attitude to Our Woodland. SOPHIE BUTLER joined Andy in 2011 and together they expanded Bristol Forest School. She is a trained Early Years teacher and qualified as a Level Three Forest School Leader in 2012. Sophie’s passion for nature and sustainability has grown over the years since living off-grid in an eco village in Hawaii. Sophie established the BFS Pre-Schools, the Saturday Club Minis and Adventurers. She now supports the running of these groups and is responsible for BFS’s policies, website and social media. HANNAH BUSHELL joined the BFS staff team in 2015 following a dedicated volunteering stint and completing her Level Three Forest School. Hannah is an experienced primary school teacher who works part-time in a Steiner Kindergarten as well as undertaking the nature connection course ‘Call of the Wild’. LOUISE SPELLWARD is a qualified Horticulturalist and garden designer with a background in Environmental Conservation. Her first experience of Bristol Forest School was as a parent attending with her son; not wanting to miss out on the fun, she decided to train in Forest School herself and completed her Level 3. In 2019 Lou took on the Bristol Forest School Pre-School. Veronika became a qualified Forest School leader in 2018; she started volunteering with Bristol Forest School in 2020 and now runs schools sessions and BFS parties. BESS SPENCER worked as an ‘Access to Nature’ play-worker in inner city London and trained as a Forest School leader in 2018. She now practices and teaches co-counselling and nature-facilitation activities using Tom Brown’s Apache derived techniques. At Bristol Forest School, Bess assists with our school sessions. MELISSA GAULT is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and is currently studying to become an Early Years educator. She loves getting out into nature as much as possible! Melissa has been supporting Bristol Forest School since January 2018. She began as a volunteer for the Saturday Minis and is now a fully fledged member of the Pre-School team. MILLY BAILEY has an environmental background – she moved from working in an office as an environmental consultant, to the forest – which she much prefers. Milly has a passion for connecting herself and others to the natural world: she is a keen hiker, forager and wild swimmer. Milly started volunteering with Bristol Forest School in 2019 and now works as part of the Pre-School team.

Situated in one of the islands most beautiful but quietest places, we are surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty and nature reserves. If you like peace and quiet, nature, wildlife walks and car-free bike rides - but like a good pub and a few shops within easy walking distance, then we are the place for you.. Oakdene Orchard is a special campsite in a large site of old fields and woodland. We are open just a few weeks a year. It's enclosed and sheltered from bad wind by its large trees and hedgerows, giving a sense of privacy and security, but still feeling open to all the space and country darkness that makes real camping so different from anything else. We offer just a handful of big, flat, individual plots. All are very well spaced out (most not even viewable from each other) and are available in either: Our amazing spacious Bell-tents, or bring your own tents if you are walkers or on bicycles Each bell-tent pitch is part screened with its own hedging and trees, and comes with a large family size bench with a fire pit and wood included. Oakdean Orchard offers a safe but adventurous place to stay for smaller groups and all those interested in peaceful enjoyment of the natural environment. Although we are located in a beautiful place we are not really a 'glamping' site. But we supply water, toilets and hot showers for all visitors free.

Stone Farm Study Centre is located on the edge of Dartmoor in the heart of the Devon countryside. Set in the foothills of the National Park, the site boasts 110 acres of organic park-land pasture and is an idyllic retreat for children to visit. Among 17th century listed buildings we have a traditional working farm where every morning and evening visiting groups can help with supervised farm jobs - complete with pigs, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, a donkey, a pony, 'Hedwig' the African eagle owl and resident sheepdog Baloo there really is something for everyone! Stone Farm also has its own onsite lake where, if lucky, the children will be able to spot local birdlife including ducks, geese, moorhen and kingfishers. When taking a nature walk in the adjoining woodland we often see deer, foxes and badgers. First established in 1992 by two former teachers, Stone Farm Study Centre has welcomed schools for 30 years and we understand the educational, physical and emotional benefits school visits offer. We have attempted to create a Study Centre which we would want to visit ourselves and an environment in which every child can flourish and grow. We work closely with every school to ensure our on-site activities, and the excursions you choose in the local area, incorporate and complement the curriculum of each year group. Set up specifically and exclusively for primary schools, we welcome KS2 groups from across the country for 3 or 4 night visits.

I’ve always loved the British countryside and have been foraging for wild foods for many years now and have a built up a good knowledge of native British trees and plants. My interest in traditional herbal preparations started with me making ointments for myself and my partner. We run a bushcraft company and consequently spend much of our time outdoors. We’re often getting bit & stung but neither of us wanted to put DEET on our bodies. So I did a little research to find out if any of the many native wild plants we find in our ancient woodland and surrounding hedgerows and fields would help. From this initial research I made some plantain ointment. And it really worked, so I made some more. We also get the odd cut so I made yarrow ointment, and that worked as well! Then friends and family started to ask for the ointments, followed by creams. Then customers on our bushcraft courses started to ask for some and so I made some for them. And it’s spiralled from there. I hope you like my herbal products as much as they all do! I make my herbal products using plants that are native to the British Isles. I collect them all myself so that I know what’s picked and can ensure that it’s done sustainably. The bee’s wax I use is sourced from a charity working with refugees. I’ve worked as a nurse for 30 years and more recently completed a Diploma in Herbal Medicine, recieving a distinction.
