Within the school's range of excellent horses and ponies there's something to suit everyone from beginners to advanced riders. The large, modern arena is regularly used for dressage and show jumping competitions, drawing entries from all over the region. We are also a Pony Club Centre, with lots of exciting educational activities on offer for children throughout the year The attractive, well equipped yard also offers livery services Full, Part, Working and DIY. All liveries have use of the full facilities of the yard including a reduced rate for the hire of school horses and joining group lessons.

Woodlands of all sizes require management to ensure their continuing health and to maximise their timber value and benefits to flora and fauna. We can provide a long term management service to estates and woodland owners. Working with you we can draw up a management plan detailing required work over a 1, 5, 10 or 20 year period. Once agreed we carry out the work without you needing to worry about it. We can advise and apply for relevant grants and licences and negotiate on your behalf. Work can consist of timber harvesting or thinning work, ride creation, planting, fencing, footpaths to simple jobs like ride cutting or litter picking. The package is drawn up to meet your specific needs. In some instances the cost of drawing up a detailed management plan can be grant aided.

Our Story so far... Rika Bushcraft Ltd was set up by Kai in 2020 at a small campsite in Warsop. Clare Joined the company in May 2021 and shortly after we moved to our amazing 4 acre woodland site in Ravenshead. We had our grand opening in August 2021 and haven't looked back. Our site now has an archery range with us both being GB Archery instructors. We can offer archery and crossbow sessions here. We have also more recently installed an outside forge so that we can run blacksmithing sessions. Our offerings range from Home ed sessions during the week, junior and family sessions at weekends, holiday clubs, birthday parties and other family activities to full weekend and week long courses and experiences for adults. Art and the environment Since the formation of A Vision of Britain in 2009 many of our projects have been to support our environment. Teaching in schools, working and collaborating with Epping Forest District Council, The Corporation of London, Countrycare and The Woodland Trust on many environmental projects such as 50 Favourite trees, Local Nature Reserves, Epping Forest walks and Health and Fitness activities. Art and photography have proved to be courses that many people have enjoyed and valued. Painting mainly in watercolour and ink, Ione’s art is inspired by the natural world around her and the land and seascapes of her childhood. Her paintings capture the ever-changing light and mood of moor, hill, woodland and coastline. With an abstract, expressionistic quality to her art, she paints mainly with colours in a minor key, rather than the main points of the colour spectrum, accented with inky vibrancy, to realise a sense of shape, colour, pattern and texture that evokes a spiritual truth present in the landscape - deeply embedded in nostalgia and her sense of place. Drawing on inspiration from both her childhood in Yorkshire and her travels around the globe, she incorporates the rich heat-soaked colours of the Middle East and Asia to create atmospheric images that transcend the physical world revealing a metaphysical sense of being.

After completing a Fine Art degree specializing in large scale monochrome and sculptural photography, I have over the years returned to smaller scale mixed media painting. My work is mostly oil, acrylic & watercolour. I am particularly interested in documenting the fast disappearing old apple orchards and rich diversity of British woodlands together with the flora and fauna they support. My passion of late has been bluebell woodland and bees together with the countryfolk lore that surrounds them Influences: Joan Eardley, Bruegel, Anselm Kiefer, Caspar Friedrich, Book of Hours. I currently teach groups of all abilities and ages in watercolour, acrylic, oil and mixed media. We are situated 1.5 miles south of Durham City centre at Houghall Farm, Houghall Campus, East Durham College, just off the A177. Our flying grounds are primarily within Houghall woods, a local attraction during the Spring for its blooms of wild bluebells. Houghall farm is a mixed livestock and arable farm, which dates back to the 12th century, with a history of monks growing and harvesting crops and sheep for use in the Cathedral, Cloisters and Castle. Houghall farm and its surrounding woods and ponds are home to a wealth of British wildlife, which our customers often have the delight of encountering on their falconry experiences. What we offer We offer one-to-one and group falconry experiences with birds of prey. We fly hawks, falcons, owls and eagles over 450 acres of farm and woodland. We offer our customers the opportunities to get up-close and personal with a range of birds of prey through static and flying demonstrations, hawk walks, training and craft skills, and Raptor Awards courses. We also offer art and photography sessions and educational talks. We are an inclusive business and can offer falconry experiences regardless of customer capabilities. Cherfold Flowers was established in 2010 by Caroline Oleron. Cherfold have a reputation for colour, texture and natural floral design. They have a strong appreciation of natural beauty and abundance and love the people they work with. My name is Caroline Oleron and I am a florist and grower with a strong appreciation of natural beauty and seasonal abundance. I established Cherfold Flowers in 2010 and have developed a reputation for colour, texture and natural floral design. The flower studio is now based in my garden on the Surrey/West Sussex border. It’s here you’ll find me with an abundance of seasonal beauty, plus of course Monty the studio dog. I love the gentle atmosphere and the warm, inspiring space. Brides, homeowners and companies come to Cherfold Flowers because they trust me to create memorable floral designs. Artistry and quality are core to the work I do here at Cherfold Flowers. I’m a self-taught gardener who went to art schools in London and Paris. I lived on a kibbutz and developed a talent for photographing atmospheric still life. When my children were young, I fell in love with gardening. I have been cultivating my knowledge of botanicals and bulbs, shrubs and scent ever since. My approach is one that prioritises seasonal, British-grown produce and surprise. For instance, a groom’s buttonhole may contain a rosemary sprig or funghi from the local woodland floor; a bride may carry a bouquet that reflects her elements of grandmother’s cottage garden; and an office space will be transformed by luscious greenery and foliage.
