Lower Tokenbury is a family run approved riding school of the Association of British Riding Schools and an active Pony Club centre- having been established for nearly 50 years – since 1969, Lower Tokenbury Equestrian Centre is nestled in the beautiful Cornish countryside close to Bodmin Moor and offers the complete equestrian package. At Lower Tokenbury we offer everything, from trekking through our 100 acres of ancient woodland and parkland with beautiful moorland views or rides over Bodmin Moor for more experienced riders, to lessons for all ages and abilities on our own horses and specialiSed training for the rider or horse in dressage, show jumping or cross country over our own course. We have produced riders who have been selected to compete for Great Britain and horses from unbroken to Advanced level eventing. The award winning Caudwell International Children’s Centre (CICC) is the UK’s first purpose-built centre for multi-disciplinary therapy programs for childhood disability and research of neurodevelopmental conditions. Purpose-built with autistic children in mind, the CICC surpasses current UK accessibility standards taking into account not only physical disabilities but also neuro-divergent disabilities which are not widely catered for under current legislation. The centre features innovative ‘Butterfly’ design which reflects the charity’s logo. The building was designed with the input of our beneficiaries past and present with the aim to deliver a facility which was fully inclusive. Features include quiet pods, a colour wall where they can pick their own lighting scheme and views of woodland where they can go on therapeutic walks.

We are an outdoor activity centre located in Birmingham! Join in with the fun and excitement by choosing any of our activities. All of our activities take part in over 75 acres of diverse landscape and habitats ranging from open grassland, woodland and marsh cut through by the River Cole, the Grand Union Canal, and Mainline Railways. This creates a fascinating area to have a great outdoor adventure. We are described as a hidden urban oasis, a green gem that overlooks Birmingham city centre.

What does TESP do? TESP provides woodland management services. Creates beautiful, bespoke products from natural materials. Makes and supplies charcoal, firewood & biochar. We also run craft courses in spoon carving and green woodworking. We use sustainably sourced, natural materials where practical. We always consider the environment and the local wildlife in all of our projects, including our day to day running of the business.

We offer complete training packages including chainsaw maintenance, tree felling courses, tree climbing and aerial rescue courses, pesticide safety and land based machinery training including stump grinders and wood chippers. A&J ARB Training is averaging a 98.3% pass rate for all of our candidates which are something that we are very proud of. All of our courses are delivered to enable candidates to receive an NPTC city and guilds certificate of competence. Our centre is just a 10-minute drive from JNC 29 of the m1. So we are an ideal choice for anyone in Chesterfield, Mansfield, Sheffield, Nottingham areas looking to do any of our courses. With over 1000 acres of woodland, and a fully equipped work shop we have all of the bases covered to ensure that you have the best training experience possible. Our team of experts will help guide and advise helping you progress in your career. A&J Arb Training are also fully qualified and insured to carry out LOLER inspection to all types of arboriculture equipment. We can either travel to a site to carry out the inspections or equipment can be dropped of to our training centre where one of our qualified technician’s will inspect the equipment and complete a thorough record of examination. LOLER inspections are required by law, and apply to anyone working at height.
