old hanging wood cic
Buckinghamshire
Old Hanging Wood is situated between Little Chalfont and Chorleywood in rural
Buckinghamshire countryside close to the historic Chenies Manor visited by both
Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The woodland is over 16 acres and is designated by
Natural England as Ancient Replanted Woodland. This is an indication of woodland
origins dating to before 1600 AD. Old Hanging Wood is a family owned company,
with the sole purpose of providing a facility and activities for the local
community. The Feasey Family live close by to the Woodland and have always
enjoyed walks through green spaces, learning about the vast range of trees and
wildlife. Therefore, we wanted to give back to the community and run a
not-for-profit organisation utilising our woodland to provide others with the
opportunity to explore and learn the natures of a Woodland.
