At Little Tree Forest School we believe children learn best through
self-motivated play and exploration. To support this, children are given
plentiful opportunities for free-play as well as experiences of tool use and
cooking. We aspire to provide children with authentic experiences through which
they can begin to understand themselves and their relationship to the world
around them. Our school aims to fascinate and inspire and to encourage
independence, in order to help build children’s self-confidence and feed their
imagination. We recognise the importance of the holistic development of the
child, and lead by example, teaching children the value of friendship and of
working together cooperatively. A creative, loving and compassionate child will
have a greater sense of confidence, and be less afraid of making mistakes.
