Claire Moore and John Woudberg, co-founded Certain Curtain Theatre Company, a professional touring theatre company specialising in new writing, in May 1989. Since 1995 they have been at the forefront of using dynamic original theatre to explore domestic abuse and its impact on women and children. They have performed across the Uk and Internationally. As well as live performances - their award winning work has now been developed into CPD accredited training packages – centred around their dynamic original stage plays and delivered in online webinars. * MOCKINGBIRD HIGH [https://cctheatre.co.uk/domestic-violence-drama/mockingbird-high/]  -  is a compelling and lyrical account of the devastating impact of domestic abuse on two teenage children and their mother. Exploring the so-called ‘cycle of violence’, safeguarding, sexual bullying, patterns of abusive behaviour and the long-term impact on children. An essential experience for anyone working in the field of safeguarding children. * LADY IN RED [https://cctheatre.co.uk/domestic-violence-drama/lady-in-red/] - the definitive coercive control drama explores one woman's attempts to leave an abusive relationship. Power and control, physical, emotional and psychological abuse, fear of the unknown and “Why doesn’t she leave?” are just some of the issues raised in this contemporary look at domestic violence. * LIFE SENTENCE [https://cctheatre.co.uk/domestic-violence-drama/life-sentence/] - explores the aftermath of an attempted domestic homicide - This short sharp solo drama, based on real events, looks at the development of an abusive relationship and how ‘the system’ can let victims down. It explores the aftermath of an attempted domestic violence murder, raising awareness of serious cases, the need for a workplace DV strategy, stalking, legal and medical issues and how workplace practice can better support victims.    Each CPD accredited session includes a screening of the play with additional interactive training elements – quiz on the scale and prevalence of domestic abuse, tailored discussion, pdf information pack and 3 CPD points per student.
