CAWS was founded in 2012 to bridge the gap left when Leicestershire County Council withdrew their Attendance Improvement Service and its Officers from schools. Since then, CAWS has expanded to providing its services from a handful of schools to over 40 schools. CAWS has at its fingertips, the knowledge and expertise of a qualified Education Welfare Officer with more than 20 years’ experience in relation to education and school attendance. CAWS is a focused, committed and positive company, who provides schools, parents, children and young people with support, advice, and knowledge with regard to attendance and welfare concerns at school. Our overall goal is to ensure that children and young people gain access to education and attend school regularly.

Aspire Gymnastics Academy has been proudly operating within the London Borough of Havering since April 2006. Aspire aim to provide a safe, effective and child-friendly environment in which the members can participate in Gymnastic activities under the guidance of appropriately qualified coaches. We operate an open philosophy and welcome the support of parents and guardians. Wherever possible we will enable you to observe training sessions provided that it does not contravene our Health and Safety regulations. We also encourage and value parental involvement in the club. The members of the club are organised into groups according to their age, gender, ability, experience and individual needs, and coaches will be pleased to discuss the training programmes and your child’s needs with you. We provide a child/member centred, coach led programme and will endeavour to help your child develop to their optimum level of performance. Our coaches are all British Gymnastics qualified coaches at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children. A Welfare Officer is appointed by the club to deal with any safety issues. The club has adopted the British Gymnastics policies for Child Protection, Equity and Codes of Conduct and all officials, coaches, members and parents must adhere to these policies. Aspire has also received the “Gym Mark” accreditation which recognises our club as achieving an excellent standard against strict criteria.

The FDS Team are all experienced and qualified coaches committed to ensuring children receive high quality coaching in a fun and friendly environment. Mykey Pryce - Course Director: Mykey has over 18 years experience coaching children in school and out of school settings. Mykey has a wide range of qualifications including: Sports Science and Sports Therapy FA Football Coaching up to UEFA B level Instructing Health Related Excerise for Children Coaching qualifications in Basketball, Tag Rugby, Futsal, Athletics, Handball and Dodgeball Treatment and Management of Injuries First Aid Mykey has also attended training in: Safeguarding and Protecing Children Managing Behaviour in Sport Including Disabled Players in Sport Child Protection Club Welfare Officer Multi Skills Clubs in Practice FDS Coaches: All of our lead coaches are qualified to a minimum of level 2 in sports coaching enabling them to lead sessions in schools / out of school. Our assistant coaches all have or are working towards their level 1 coaching qualifications. FDS Coaches are all DBS checked and hold up to date first aid qualifications and have attended safeguarding children training sessions.

Policies and Procedures are scrutinised by our auditors Jelf Risk Management, and provide our Health & Safety Management services. Our Youth Staff on an evening carry current DBS checks, safe guarding training, first aid and fire marshal competence. All staff receive personal health and safety booklets annually for which they sign for as read, and risk assessments as well as operational standard procedures are undertaken for activities and basic duties reviewed by the internal IOSH trained Managing Safely Officer and externally by Jelf Risk Management. Accident forms and incident forms are completed for all those reported on site and held accordingly. Health & Safety and Environmental statements are reviewed annually and are on display to the centre’s users. Club polices including; safe guarding and child protection, harassment, grievance, bullying, drugs and alcohol are held on site and reviewed/managed by our Welfare Officer. Club rules and procedures, including GDPR privacy notices are written on membership forms and displayed in all prominent areas of the centre.CCTV surveillance on site supports the security of the building, its staff, volunteers and users/members. Any concerns in relation to the use of Richmond Park, including anti-social behaviour, drugs and alcohol use (adjacent to our Club) should be reported to the local authorities (Police and Council). Hinckley Club For Young People have no authority or responsibility in events that take place outside of its perimeter.

Life hasn't been easy, i've been to the very lows but its all helped me grow as a person to where i am now. It has been incredibly tough, i knew it wasn't going to be easy but no one told me how hard it would be. I didn't do great at school, i only got 2 C's and nothing higher. I never let that hold me back as i was far to determined. When i decided i wanted to create my own Tumble Academy (as thats how it started) i put £500 of my saving into an account to create 'GymForce'. The website, insurance, leaflets and t-shirts. Why Gym Force? I feel like having a sport I adored help me so much in my adult life in many ways. I’m a very confident, motivated, ambitious person and I have gymnastics to thank for that. I would love for more children to have that in life. I feel like GymForce has a lot to give. As a small club we know everyone that walks through the door. We get complimented a lot on this. It’s more than just a club, we have/make time for each and every athlete, even their parents! I will continue to make personal little touches to my club that other ‘big’ clubs don’t currently offer. The Start of the journey... I started gymnastics when I was three, and I absolutely loved it. Especially floor! I just loved to tumble, that was my thing. As I got older I did more and more hours working my way up to club level. I felt that having gymnastics in my life helped me stay focused and on the right track when some of my friendship group didn’t. I wasn’t one to do well at school, reading and writing was not for me. I just wanted to be active all the time. So I had decided from a very young age that I would love to go into sports and coaching. I started coaching at 14 as a leader, it was great as I got to save money towards my first car.

Helen, the Head of Rowan, has worked in education for over twenty years, most of which has been in or associated with, inclusion and behaviour management. Having initially worked as an Education Welfare Officer, successfully raising school attendance in two of the most deprived areas of Scunthorpe, she then worked at High Ridge Secondary School, where she set up and ran the successful Nurture Group. High Ridge became The St Lawrence Academy, where Helen acted as the Lead Behaviour Professional for several years, developing, delivering and training (staff and students) anger management workshops and leading in Restorative Justice Practices, as well as running Summer School for KS2-to-KS3 transition. She then became Deputy Head of a local Alternative Provision, where her hard work, dedication and hands-on management style resulted in both improved behaviour and attendance, as well as a dramatic reduction in exclusions over a period of more than four years. She is a qualified counsellor and was Designated Safeguarding Lead in her capacity as Deputy Head. Helen brings this wealth of experience and skill which, coupled with the expertise and experience of the rest of the staff, will make Rowan Education a unique and successful school. She believes passionately that all children should have the right to education and to achieve their potential and that, with the appropriate support and encouragement, they can do so.
