Our experienced pilots will give you the best service possible. Our helicopters are able to operate from small, private landing sites, giving you countless possibilities with increased flexibility for your special flight. We can pick you up or drop you off at a range of sites including, but not limited to, airports, hotels and restaurants such as Chewton Glen, New Forest, or The Crazy Bear, Oxfordshire, or even your back garden (size dependent). If you are uncertain as to whether the landing site you require is large enough, we will happily check for you. Please have ready or email us the necessary information and we will work on getting a quote to you as soon as we can: Departure point (specific location) Destination (specific location) Date and time required Number of passengers Passenger weights Any additional requests. Body conditioning (strength exercises) is a great way of improving your cycling. Whatever the season and whatever the weather, you can always do some strength and conditioning training to help you improve your performance on your bike. Let’s take a look at different exercises that are great for cyclists. Menu – The exercises What do you need to do? Exercises with bodyweight Exercises with weights Final thoughts The exercises: Burpees: use the whole body and improve power Leg lifts: these target hip flexors as well as abdominal stabilizers that help smoothen your pedalling. Planks (and variations of them): these improve your core strength and thus make you more efficient on your bike. Lunges: These help with all of the major muscle groups in cycling including calves, hamstrings, quads and glutes. Weighted exercises: kettlebell swings, renegade rows, front squats and single-leg deadlifts are all really useful for improving body condition. What do you need to do? If you’re wanting to improve your cycling and aren’t already doing conditioning and strength exercises, this is a big thing you can do to see improvement. Since cycling uses only one leg at a time, it needs repeated forces and is largely an aerobic activity. Cyclists also need to have endurance and a strong core. Lots of activities address these requirements but there are some that, when combined, are ideal for cyclists and their bodies’ needs. The best thing to do in terms of strength training is to choose exercises that have a similar movement pattern to cycling both with the lower body and the upper body. It’s also important to increase muscular endurance and core strength. What you want from body conditioning is to have a strong support system for when you’re cycling. The stronger you are aerobically, the better chance you will have of staving off fatigue in races and you will have more power potential. The following exercises use dumbbells and kettlebells. If you’re unsure of weight, see what you can manage. If you are unable to complete the set number of reps, lower the weights.

At Alliance Boxing Club our goal is to provide the opportunity for anyone to keep fit, stay healthy and learn the value of hard work, discipline, self-respect and respect of others. We are an Affiliated Member of the Amateur Boxing Association of England and our trainers are England Boxing Certified. This allows us to provide both a high standard of coaching and offer competitive opportunities to our members on the amateur boxing circuit. We're not all about competitive boxing though. Boxing is a great way to increase fitness levels and manage weight. We have a range of boxing, fitness, strength and conditioning classes, including kids and female only, that provide fun, full body workouts in a positive, friendly atmosphere. Our classes are perfect for helping with weight loss and toning and are designed to allow you to work at your own pace. We can provide 1-2-1 training too or if you prefer you can come down and do your own work out. To keep the club as accessible as possible we like to keep things simple. We don’t charge membership fees or ask you to sign up to contracts. You just pay when you come down to train or take a class. It’s that easy. The club is owned and run by professional boxer Sam Smith and former powerlifter, now boxer Graham Mattison. Sam and Graham are hugely positive and inspiring influences, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the Club. In 2018 they were winners of the Coach Participation Award at the Leeds Sports Awards. Sam has been boxing for over a decade, has held multiple titles including WBF & WBU. Currently the British Masters Champion she is the only British female in her division to be world ranked. Graham has boxed for about 4 years, prior to which he had great success in powerlifting being ranked second in the world at professional level. Our gym is equipped with an array of boxing equipment including cardio machines, punch bags, free weights and strength and conditioning machines. We have our own club mini bus to help our boxers travel around to competitions and championships. We're conveniently located less than a minute from Crossgates Shopping Centre, just off the Leeds Outer Ring Road, making us easily accessible from all across Leeds and beyond. The gym is on the 1st floor with great access and we have plenty of free secure parking.

Her career in the fitness industry began in Australia, with the National Australian Institute of Personal Trainers where she gained experience working alongside leading industry figures. Grace has worked with Strength and Conditioning Coaches at the Australian Women’s Rugby 7s Team, Surfing Australia High Performance Centre and a number of professional rugby league teams such as the Cronulla Sharks & Sydney Roosters. Back in London, Grace has focused her knowledge and efforts towards personal training and coaching, bringing the process previously only available to elite athletes to you.
