We are a volunteer led work with very few staff, but this does not mean we are a small organization. We can see as many as 300 people a day, looking for our assistance. We remain open every day Our impact remains high We can do this for a fraction of the cost of other day centres. We do this without any statutory funding. We recognize the true strength of our volunteers. And we recognize the value of everybody coming through our doors. First, we help people by meeting immediate needs: food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. In our recovery programs, we address deeper needs for life-skills and job-skills training, and addiction recovery. We measure our progress against four criteria, which indicate to us that a life has been transformed from homelessness to hope: connection to family, commitment to sobriety, a job and a place to live, and a plan for the future. Today, The Whitechapel Mission is a results-oriented organization that is recognized as one of London's most effective. Our Purpose The Whitechapel Mission is called to serve the men and women caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness and dependencies of many kinds, and to see their lives transformed to hope, joy and lasting productivity. Our Goal To be the most effective provider of compassionate care and life transformation for hurting people in London. Such was the vision and passion of the late Sir Clive Bourne, who firmly believed that all children must be given the opportunity to succeed, regardless of background or circumstance. Founding Mossbourne Community Academy in 2004, Sir Clive Bourne made it his mission to provide Hackney children a world-class education and drive the standards of educational provision in the borough. Staff and pupils of Mossbourne Community Academy have maintained the gold standard of provision and attainment year on year since its inception. The academy has redefined national expectations of what is possible to achieve in an inner-city, non-selective academy – from the two ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED judgments and headline-grabbing exam results, all the way through to students annually gaining places at Oxbridge, Russell Group Universities, MIT and other world-renowned universities. Mossbourne Community Academy is a place for learning in which pupils and staff are expected to work hard and invest in their future and success is available to everybody.

The ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL) is co-funded with the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union (Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education). ANGEL project is a convergence of ASEAN partner institutions’ responses to the strong need for capacity-building while confronting challenges of environmental degradation. In addition, ANGEL aims to support graduates as well as disadvantaged groups to attain a decent income which is derived from quality employment, and enhanced with entrepreneurial-leadership skills. Another goal is to help improve inclusiveness, because gender and other demographic divides exist and derail wealth creation across the ASEAN nations. The mission of ANGEL is to engender impact and transformation for two major target stakeholders of each partner institution in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Malaysia. The first target group is the internal stakeholders, namely students, academic and non-academic staff, and top management. Within the context of Southeast Asian institutions, the green entrepreneurial mindset and transformational leadership skills and competencies are still new concepts and less implemented. The second target group of ANGEL are the disadvantaged groups within societies in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Malaysia. This includes women and minorities, poor income groups in both urban and rural communities as well as people with disabilities (PWD). The Asian partners are supported by universities and institutions from Greece and Cyprus.

Welcome to the Bermondsey Community Kitchen, which is now incorporating the London Community Kitchen. Our board of trustees decided that including the name London along with Bermondsey, reflected our mission to extend our community support to neighbouring or nearby boroughs across London. Since its formation, we have expanded our initial single program to encompass other much-needed community issues which were highlighted by the Covid pandemic.

Community Youth Ventures C.I.C. is a community interest company that focuses on inspiring young lives through innovative and diversionary activities. Our aim is to empower young people to make positive choices, enhance their opportunities and widen their horizons. Our aim is to empower young people to make positive choices, enhance their opportunities and widen their horizons including the impact and support within the community around them. CYV provides strategic oversight and expertise as well as direct youth engagement through a range of youth programmes and projects. Changes to the youth sector for both statutory and voluntary areas along with the rise in exclusions from education and the development of destructive habits young people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them. Through collaboration and cooperation with complimentary providers and services; CYV will work in partnership with schools, youth organisations, statutory services and local communities. CYV will provide a service to young people that will enhance their personal, social and emotional development; whilst embedding expertise, knowledge and insight into voluntary and community sector. CYV will inspire young lives through positive engagement in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas and was formed in direct response to the lack of services available and the growing number of young people involved in risky behaviours and negative lifestyles and untapped opportunities. CYV aim to identify young people who may have chaotic lives supporting them in the transition to adulthood by offering a positive support system to enhance positive development and well-being.
