Why EY Matters? My love affair with the Early Years sector began back in 2011 when I started working with Laura Henry, and through my work with her I started to connect with other Early Years Professionals. During 2013, I supported Laura with her vision of creating an organisation for the Trainers and Consultants of the sector, by organising the first meetings, the first survey and collating the results. Out of this vision NEyTCO was born. Launched in 2014 at the House of Commons, NEYTCO - National Early Years Trainers and Consultants - brought together experts in the sector to offer mutual support for trainers and consultants and a one-stop-shop for early years settings, local authorities, schools and others. In 2017, at the invitation of the CEO, Catriona Nason, I started working closely with NEyTCO, looking at the member experience, finding ways to improve the membership offering and also promoting the members and the organisation, but sadly in the current climate, NEyTCO was unable to survive and closed in October 2018. After receiving the devastating news that NEyTCO was unable to continue trading, I thought long and hard about what this would mean for the sector and then came up with the idea that the new Twitter Chat (#EYMatters) I had introduced a few weeks earlier in September could perhaps be utilised in some way to support Early Years Professionals to continue connecting, communicating and collaborating. With this in mind, I formed a new company EY Matters Ltd with the sole purpose of providing the platform to support the sense of community that has been building over the past few months between the NEyTCO Members and other individuals, companies and areas within the sector. I should stress, this is a separate venture from my main business, Virtual Support UK Ltd, where I still provide support and administration services to the sector on a Pay-per-Minute basis!

Southport Therapy Services (for Holistic and Aesthetics)

southport therapy services (for holistic and aesthetics)

Like you, we're passionate about natural therapies and health. Our story started in a garage in 2004. Our founders, David Vitek and Roby Sharon-Zipser, believed it should and could be easier to connect consumers with local businesses online. Looking up a wide range of services online such as Acupuncture, Reiki, Reflexology, Homeopathy and Naturopathy proved challenging so they went about building a site focused on holistic health, natural remedies, natural therapies and alternative therapies — The Natural Therapy Pages. In the years since, our team of 200+ has focused on weaving emerging technology with good old-fashioned service to innovate the way people get things done, having created sites in industries they were passionate about — natural therapies, home improvements and pets. And now Natural Therapy Pages, part of the hipages Group, is the most visited natural health site across Australia. Every day, our growing team works to connect a community of health-conscious people — 600,000 monthly visitors — with more than 13,000 natural therapy practitioners in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. We also attend many industry events and expos, develop positive partnerships with industry associations, and regularly speak with our practitioners — to ensure the site continues to inspire, inform, and connect clients and therapists. Innovating and connecting the natural therapies industry online: it comes naturally. Our inspiration Every day, we're inspired and invigorated by the natural therapists, schools, and students we speak to. That's why in April 2015, we launched a Natural Therapy Courses website in Australia, with thousands of online and on-campus courses it's often daunting to know where to start. It's the simplest way to start studying natural therapies — and connect with other learners. So this site is designed to help offer advice and insights and if you like we can connect you with some local training providers to help get you into the industry. Connection is at the core of everything we do, with 70,000 people signed up to our weekly e-newsletter we strive to keep your inbox both exciting and knowledgeable. So we love to see so many passionate people interacting on our social media sites. Our Facebook page has over 140,000 likers, and we're on Twitter and Instagram.

In addition to Verve Search, I have had several non-executive and advisory roles. I have mentored dozens of people throughout my career and find great joy in supporting others on their journey. I draw on my knowledge of psychology and neuroscience and apply it to business management, creating a unique offering that focuses on the humans behind the business. I help people find their truths and become more authentically, more truly themselves. That’s what it means to be Ekte. Fabien Cappello Streetscape (2015) installation view. Photography Ellie Laycock About 7 March 2022: Stanley Picker Gallery and our partner venue Dorich House Museum are shocked and saddened by the invasion of Ukraine and subsequent events over the past weeks. We share the concerns raised by Arts Council England and the International Council of Museums (ICOM) about the risks faced by cultural professionals as well as the threats to cultural heritage because of this conflict and we send our support to all creative practitioners and cultural organisations and institutions affected. 5 June 2020: Stanley Picker Gallery and our partner venue Dorich House Museum recognise we must do more as cultural organisations to be actively anti-racist. We commit to taking immediate steps to implement a clear plan of action to address systemic racism at every level of our organisations, whilst actively seeking and welcoming critical engagement from diverse perspectives in this process. Stanley Picker Gallery at Kingston University is one of the leading university galleries and commissioning venues in the UK, working with artists, designers, students, academics and members of the local community to encourage creativity, learning, research and innovation. Established in 1997 with the ongoing support of the Stanley Picker Trust, the Gallery forms part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio and is a principal cultural interface between Kingston University and its civic communities in South-West London and beyond. From its island location on the Hogsmill River, our venue is a creative hub, a production site and a presentation space that functions as an “expanded studio” dedicated to commissioning and curating contemporary art and design practice, generating a dynamic programme of exhibitions, events and participation activities staged onsite, offsite and online. Appointed each year through public open call, our Stanley Picker Fellowships in Design and Fine Art support a diversity of contemporary practitioners to research, create and premiere ambitious new work, by providing generous grants, free studio space, professional expertise and valuable access to the world-class workshop facilities at Kingston School of Art. The call for applications opens annually in May. Our Participation Programme involves us working collaboratively with schools, colleges, community groups and local residents of all ages, to deliver a range of creative activities and shared learning and professional development opportunities for students, that engage everyone in the life of the Gallery, our partner venue Dorich House Museum and the wider University. Follow us Twitter @PickerGallery, Instagram @stanleypicker and sign up to our mailing list for the latest updates on the programme, and to receive invitations and newsletter on our activities and how to get involved.
