Like us on Facebook @thekidscookeryschool and Follow us on Twitter: @KidsCookerySch Insta: @thekidscookeryschool Watch our film to see what's going on at The Kids' Cookery School. Update: We are no longer operating Dear KCS Parents/Carers and Supporters It is with great sadness that we write to advise you, that we are having to give up our KCS Head Quarters here in London, Acton. There are several reasons that have influenced, this decision. The primary reason is due to the Corona virus pandemic, the charity has really struggled over the past 2 years and the various lock-downs have just compounded the problems, with The Kids Cookery School and the charity sector in general. There are several other issues that we won’t bore you with which, basically makes the premises not fit for purpose anymore. The Charity will NOT continue to operate in the previously leased premises (KCS HQ) or as a Mobile POP-UP Kitchen. Therefore, we will NOT be taking any cookery sessions for the foreseeable future

THRE - Third Sector Human Rights & Equalities

thre - third sector human rights & equalities

THRE – Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities, is a nationwide project led by GCVS in partnership with HTSI and EVOC The project is working with Scotland’s Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) to develop resources, training and networks to support third sector organisations towards taking a human rights and equalities first approach to their organisational development and delivery. THRE will also be working to give organisations and individuals the skills to become human rights and equalities champions, allowing the sector as a whole to better challenge inequalities and make a positive difference. THRE aims to act as a bridge connecting Scotland’s innovative and thriving third sector to the country’s existing internationally recognised human rights and equalities sector and help to deliver the Scottish Government’s vision for a Scotland that is inclusive, free from discrimination, and where the human rights of everyone are respected, protected, and fulfilled. Staff are based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands to work with their local TSIs to give the project national reach combined with a local understanding of the needs of the third sector across Scotland. THRE is funded by The Scottish Government Equality and Human Rights Fund which is managed by Inspiring Scotland. Heavy Metal Therapy

heavy metal therapy

London

Heavy metal therapy is an online resource and community of people who find metal music helpful for mental well being. It is a place to find and share experiences of how metal has helped us, the meaning we take from songs or lyrics, and play lists that we have found useful. It is for everyone, so we don’t judge each others metal preferences. If you would like to share your own recovery story about how metal has helped you please contact us, we can make stories anonymous if you prefer. We continue to develop a few shared playlists under heavy metal therapy, which can be expanding and changing. We like people to share their own music or art if it comes with a reason/message to do with mental health. We may be a small and select group, but we are open to suggestions of expanding. Hopefully over time this will become led by and shaped by those who use it, so it’s not set in stone, it can grow and change. See this video for a bit more about us. Heavy metal therapy is both a website and on social media, so find us on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. We are a registered Community Interest Company (more here) Quick disclaimer: we know it’s called heavy metal therapy, but we are not claiming to be a substitute for psychological therapy, we are a self-help and peer support community. If you feel you need support from mental health services please seek it through appropriate channels (in the UK this is usually via your GP). Also, all things metal tend to be quite sweary and have dark themes, so there’s quite a bit of that in the stories and playlists.
