Our vision is to deliver quality teaching and learning using a fun approach toward the environment. A positive and impactful experience that focuses on the needs of the learners wellbeing and individual environmental concerns. We hope to encourage a lifelong enthusiasm for litter education, that will in turn inspire the children's and teachers litter approach, promote community environmental growth, and prepare students and staff for a constantly changing world. As a result, we aspire to teach as many children as possible about the impact litter has on the planet.
Metacognitive learners are the learners of the future. They also show significant academic progress beyond expectations. At Thinking Matters our expertise is in making metacognition ‘whole school’. With our origins in the Cognitive Education Development Unit at the University of Exeter (now the accrediting body of Thinking Schools) we have been at the cutting edge of bringing the science of cognitive and metacognitive education to schools for over fifteen years.
At The Edinburgh Pottery Studio, we are dedicated to the art of ceramics: to the creation of utilitarian and non-functional ceramic art pieces as well as sculpture in clay. Our focus is excellence in wheel work, hand building and sculpture combined with an obsession for surface design and teaching these skills to our community. We teach wheel throwing and hand building in 5-8-week courses and 1:1 private lessons.
STArt is a professional artist, energy practitioner and holistic educator who explores how we communicate with ourselves, each other and the world around us, often embodying the rhythm of expression through enhancing the quirks, beauty, and complexities of the natural world and humanity. Her work frequently focuses on encouraging empowerment, healing, play. engagement and hope with a compassionate artivistic voice that inspires an awareness of inclusion of how we experience the world.
