Jennifer Holloway - Personal Branding For Business

jennifer holloway - personal branding for business

Want to blow your own trumpet without sounding like and idiot? Then you've come to the right place. When it comes to personal branding, there are a lot of misconceptions: that you have to fake it to make it (wrong), that it’s all about selling yourself (also wrong) and that you have to fit a mould to be successful (the exact opposite is true). In reality, personal branding celebrates the fact we’re all different. Our backgrounds, our experiences, our accomplishments: they all contribute to making us unique. Your personal brand sets out that uniqueness, in an authentic way, so you can blow your own trumpet with confidence and let others know what you bring to the table in a way nobody else does. Jennifer Holloway has spent to last 15+ years helping people in business to do just that, through her keynote speeches, one-to-one coaching, in-person workshops and online webinars. Plus she's the author of the UK's best-selling book on Amazon for the subject: Personal Branding For Brits [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Personal-Branding-Brits-yourself-sounding/dp/0957542801/ref=sxts_rp_s_1_0?content-id=amzn1.sym.07198d44-a16f-4503-b71e-3f4c67470a0f%3Aamzn1.sym.07198d44-a16f-4503-b71e-3f4c67470a0f&crid=1UNCBXKPQNC&cv_ct_cx=personal+branding+for+brits&keywords=personal+branding+for+brits&pd_rd_i=0957542801&pd_rd_r=19b3e903-21b3-4e01-b209-b072ed1e45d3&pd_rd_w=8Nsw5&pd_rd_wg=UM0Mo&pf_rd_p=07198d44-a16f-4503-b71e-3f4c67470a0f&pf_rd_r=MP5C4ZEPE2B2WYTVKV6C&qid=1685194808&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=personal+brnding+f%2Caps%2C162&sr=1-1-1890b328-3a40-4864-baa0-a8eddba1bf6a]. (It's definitely not just for Brits though and has sold thousands of copies worldwide.) Watch this video to find out more [https://hollodaw.wistia.com/medias/8ulwkg5iud]

Joes Carp Tutorials

My name is Joe Turnbull and I have been angling since I was about 13. I first found out about such an amazing beautiful pastime when my uncle took me to the local river, armed with a small box of maggots and little bag of brown bread crumb to use as ground bait. After that first encounter catching some good roach, I was simply hooked and I had found something that I was quite good at. From that first experience I went on to enter a few matches, however, I’ve never really been competitive, so from there on I generally enjoyed my pleasure fishing for all species, which has seen me venturing all around the country angling at many different venues. After some years of allround specimen angling, my one true love fell for carp angling, along with the wonder and amazement that it holds. fishing-tv Why Bait?…Archie Braddock’s supplied a mix of herbs and spices, along with Richworth and Rod Hutchinson that had a range of ‘off the shelf’ boilies and flavourings. I was intrigued, as many people still are, by being able to mix all sorts of concoctions and seeing if I could get a fish to feed on it. After years of playing with baits and ingredients, a part of a life long dream became a reality as I was given a monthly feature in the biggest and longest running carp magazine, Carpworld and sister magazine, Crafty Carper. Successful angling is all about consistency. If you get good at that, you're more than half way there. carp-tuition Why carp angling tuition?…Over the last couple of years or so I’ve been asked on many occasions about supplying some kind of tuition service for carp angling but not really being the type to ‘blow my own trumpet’ so to speak-I declined the idea for a while but then imagined that it would actually be really nice to pass on my experience and knowledge that I’ve gained over the years.

Ladywood Community School Of Music

Birmingham

The Ladywood Community School of Music is surviving on a shoestring, the grace of Birmingham City Council and the enduring good will and dedication of our two remaining tutors, Paul and Curtis. We currently run classes in Guitar and Saxophone between 6 and 7 pm on Thursdays at the Community Centre in St Vincent Street. Xhosa Cole Our mission is “to bring affordable, quality musical tuition to the heart of Ladywood. We cater for children and adults of all ages and abilities”. In the past we have offered classes in Piano, Drums, Violin and Trumpet and showcased our students and tutors in events at the Community Centre, Birmingham Artsfest, the Botanical Gardens and elsewhere. As a project we are a place where people often come to pick up an instrument for the first time and, as such, we don’t attract the attention that more high powered projects do. However, students who started with us have gone on to play in their own bands, The Notebenders and even MYJO. Most recently Xhosa Cole, who first picked up a saxophone at our Music School a decade or more ago, won the prestigious BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year. We make a difference! If you think you can help or would like to try, please get in touch by phoning Richard on 07905 559 167 or emailing ladywoodmusic@gmail.com The video is of an Artsfest event we put on back in 2008, and feature Students, Teachers and people who just came along on the day and picked up an instrument. As a school we’d like to get back to where we were then. There's plenty more about us in the old website which I’ve archived, though you may find it doesn’t all work as much of the old HTML 3 & 4 code is deprecated

Starling Music Academy

Music theory is the understanding of how music works. It's knowing why certain. music makes you feel happy, or why the soundtrack in action films makes the visuals so much more exciting. It's also an integral part of any music student's learning journey. For years it's been packaged as a boring set of rules which must be learned simply to pass an exam, but we aim to change this. Most music students will already have some knowledge of music theory, so each of our students receive a unique course plan which only covers topics they haven't already learned. On top of this, every student is paired with their own personal music theory tutor who supports their learning throughout their time on the course. More than a memory test Our aim is to teach our students to understand the logic and process behind every topic, rather than simply memorise lots of data to pass an exam. We know that the more deeply something is understood, the less likely it is to be forgotten.  Regular feedback to keep you on track Even with the best intentions, buying workbooks and downloading worksheets can't guarantee that the work will get done. As soon as we know what your goal is, we aim to help you get there in the most efficient time possible. Your tutor will set you work for each week and we will send you reminders when work is due.  Less pressure on instrumental teachers As a lot of our tutors are also instrumental music teachers, we know how hard it can be to fit music theory into a flute/trumpet/violin lesson, and we think that your instrumental teacher should be able to give their full attention to helping you improve on your chosen instrument. Get your money's worth from your instrumental lessons, whilst we get you through your theory exam.
