Welcome! I am a warm and compassionate Senior Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience of supporting individuals, groups and families. I also work in secondary care mental health services with people who present with a range of difficulties such as shame, self-criticism, dissociation, interpersonal difficulties etc. I hold a non-pathologising view of psychological distress and use a range of models flexibly and creatively to help people address their individual concerns and achieve greater well-being. I also offer individual and group supervision to qualified therapists, and lead Internal Family Systems practice groups. I have a special interest in working with adults who have experienced trauma bringing together, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT), to help people begin the deep healing process that trauma requires. I am Certified/ Accredited in IFS, EMDR, CAT, and CBT, undertaking ongoing supervision and training. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapies (ACAT) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).

Having experience of dealings with the Mental Health Sector has helped me to bring the training to many organisations and indivuals throughout the area. I have worked within the Civil Service and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service for a number of years. During my time within the Civil Service i have been a family liaison officer which includes having to deliver bad news to families, assessed people at risk of self harm or suicide and negotiated with people to resolve difficult incidents. I hold a BTECH Level 5 in Trauma Risk Incident Management to support staff following witnessing traumatic incidents.

Integral Eye Movement Therapy is effective change work - that works swiftly to de-charge negative memories, reduce negative emotions, post traumatic stress and work on disempowered ideas around identity. IEMT essentially works as the client holds the problem and its imagery in mind whilst being led to move the eyes in different directions – (along the axes of how we process information). This brief and simple method can lead to rapid release and relief. IEMT tends to work very well for trauma, phobias, anxiety, depression and feeling over-reactive. IEMT often succeeds in bringing positive change where traditional therapy has not worked.
