I am fortunate enough to be the Principal of Homefield College and am delighted that you have found your way to our website to explore the many opportunities that the College provides to support people with learning difficulties and / or disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Homefield College was founded in 1987 as a long-term residential provision for people with learning and communication difficulties. We have since expanded our offering with specialist further education and training, supporting both part-time and full-time day and residential students. The College now offers a range of individualised vocational education programmes based within local communities. All programmes are tailored to the needs of each individual with the starting point being that they feel safe in the environment that they are in. Once this is achieved it allows our staff to work with them to develop and improve their skills to enable them to live more independently once they leave the College. You will see on the website details of the activities that we provide which put together make up a study programme. Our education provision is based upon our belief that young people achieve through experience and this is reflected in the activities provided in our programmes. Students will undertake work experience and we hope that for some of them this will lead to a supported internship. Beyond the education provision, we also offer residential experiences for those who would like to further develop their independent living skills and this can often provide a period of respite for the student’s family. Homefield also provides a range of services for those who remain as part of our lifelong learning provision. These include: long-term residential care, supported work experiences, day services and community enterprises. Boasting a proud forty year history of delivery and a strong reputation for supporting and nurturing artists, Mission Gallery has taken artistic risks; showing ambitious, diverse work by established and emerging artists across all disciplines, from Wales and beyond. Mission Gallery has a thriving Learning and Participation Programme aimed at all ages and abilities, building strong and meaningful cultural partnerships within artistic and education institutions. Mission Gallery is proud of the important collaborations, projects and exchanges developed with cultural organisations in New York and Venice, building our international work through programming, partnerships and residencies . Housed in a Grade II listed building in Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, Mission Gallery began its existence as a voluntary artist run body, evolving into a professional organisation funded by Arts Council of Wales in 2003. Governed by a voluntary board of directors, the management, programming and running is maintained by a small and dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Mission Gallery has a long track record of successfully forging meaningful and sustainable partnerships across the city, in particular with Swansea College of Art who are key partners.

I am Ellen, a fully qualified instructor through Pro Trainings and RLSS and offer qualifications that are both Vocational Training Qualifications and Regulated Qualifications. I started my career in the leisure industry and loved every minute of it, I progressed quite quickly to manager and then became a Trainer/ Assessor with the RLSS and then went on to working across the country to help other centres with their running of leisure centres and training of staff. I completed my First Aid Training while working for the Ambulance Service and currently hold a Level 4 certificate in First Response Emergency care. I undertake a variety of different work for the ambulance service including Patient Transport, as well as attending some well-known events such as Saracens Rugby, Cambridge and Stevenage football, Festivals and fetes, London marathons, Triathlons and many more. I deliver courses to anyone who would like the qualifications including Individuals, companies, and schools etc. I am available for first aid event work as well as delivering and assessing courses through the RLSS and Pro Trainings. As an independent provider I offer a wide variety of courses at competitive rates.

Bramcote College Sixth Form, part of Bramcote College and of the White Hills Park Trust, is situated in the village of Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, alongside Green Flag awarded parkland and just off the main road connecting the cities of Nottingham and Derby, with excellent transport links to the cities and to the local surrounding areas. We offer a full range of A Level subjects as well as Level 3 applied and vocational options across multiple subject areas to meet the learning needs of a variety of student profiles. A large proportion of Year 11 students from both Alderman White School and Bramcote College opt to stay with us for their post-16 education, and many students join us in Year 12 from other schools.
