I’m the founder of Positive Dog, Podcaster, Dog Behaviour and Training Consultant, Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT) and proudly Brazilian. I specialise in well-mannered and happy dogs with more than 7 years of experience in dog behaviour. I believe in fear and force free dog training and science-based training guides all I do. When training with a dog, I investigate deeply all the possible motives why the dog is showing the behaviour. I’m used to working with dogs that had many other trainers before and no success. I also work alongside vets helping to investigate contributing factors that can affect behaviour conducting clinical investigations. I’ve helped 900+ dogs and guardians to live easier and happy lives with their dogs. Marvin, the fluff in the picture, was my rescue dog and soulmate who taught me so much and, unfortunately, he passed away last year. My eagerness to help animals who have behaviour issues like Marvin just grew since I adopted him. I sought education and certifications to help me to deliver long term results for dogs that struggle.   Aside from practical experience, I also have wide-ranging knowledge of behaviour modification and applied behaviour analysis. James Gregory is the Founder & CEO of the Manchester-based Charity, Families Against Violence (FAM). The Charity has its origins in a tragic event over 13 years ago when the Founder’s son was shot dead in a case of mistaken identity in a gangland act of revenge. James personally experienced the lack of support for Black families in such tragic circumstances and resolved to do something about it. He founded Families Against Violence, a charity supporting principally Black and ethnic minority families in the Moss Side area with the over-arching aim of helping to prevent young people getting sucked into anti-social behaviour, criminal activity, gangs and violence. FAM works with hundreds of children and young people each week. The Charity uses sport, principally football, to engage with children and young people. Trained and experienced coaches can then mentor and become role models, helping sometimes hard-to-reach young people find pathways into training and employment and to have better life-chances. Separate from his role with FAM, James is the CEO of AAM. In both of these roles, and working with a network of experienced and inspirational coaches and trainers, he: – I. Networks with local and regional stakeholders, including in the criminal justice system; II. Acts as an advocate for addressing social injustices, particularly for Black and Ethnic Minority Communities; III. Plans, organises and runs sports events and activities for young people; IV. Plans and organises training events for young people; V. Manages a network of local sports coaches; and VI. Mentors young people. To support his role, James is a certified football coach and has obtained qualifications in ‘Working with Gangs’ and ‘Training the Trainer’, both from Birmingham University. He also has earned a mentoring Diploma from Manchester Metropolitan University. Feeding into his role with FAM, James spent 12 months as a Youth Worker for User Voice, an organisation that gives a voice to people in the criminal justice system. In that job he worked with young offenders in prisons help manage their reintegration into society.

The company was founded in June 2011 by Buzz Bury, Sharon Phillips and Steve Burns after several months of discussions and business planning. The idea had been spurred on by significant cuts to public spending and the shift in emphasis for young people and community services to the development of social enterprise. Think Forward C.I.C. was created as the vehicle to provide services which benefit the local community, particularly young people and community groups.  The Team Steve Burns Steve has enjoyed a wonderful and challenging career in education for the last 22 years spanning the voluntary sector, social services, youth & community work, further education, and working with young people excluded from mainstream schools. His experience includes four years within a managerial position in a pupil referral unit in Blackpool. Steve is committed to life-long learning and has so far undertaken a MEd in special education, a post-graduate diploma in youth & community work and certificates in counselling, careers guidance, life-coaching and a Master Practitioner qualification in NLP. Buzz Bury Buzz is a qualified Youth and Community Worker with more than 28 years of experience ranging from club and issue-based work to management and staff development. He has significant experience in project management, particularly specialising in supporting art and creatively based activities and is an established and valued European Youth Work Trainer within the “Youth in Action” programme of the European Union. He has demonstrated innovative training delivery in the fields of “Youth Participation” and “Global Citizenship” as well as supporting international volunteer initiatives. Sharon Phillips Sharon has 16 years of experience working in services for young people, both in career guidance and in a leadership role for Integrated Youth Services provision. In her previous role at Blackpool Council she was the strategic and operational lead for training, development & accreditation for Blackpool Young People’s Services. Being passionately committed to youth workforce development, she is enjoying being back at the coal face delivering training and in her spare time (ha ha) is in the middle of studying for her Masters Degree in Youth and Community Work.

I work with a wide variety of individual students ranging from professional athletes, musicians and actors to people with chronic pain issues, injuries or those simply wanting to become more in tune with how they move in daily life. I teach regular workshops for the general public and also to Pilates and fitness teachers, physiotherapists, runners, tennis and golf coaches and ski instructors. I’m the creator of the FeldenFit 30 day Programme to refine your ability for powerful, effective and balanced movement which is hosted by Ritter Dressage. I co teach an online course for riders called The Aware Rider with Dr Thomas Ritter and Shana Ritter. I add rider content on the Ritter’s online courses which focus on the biomechanics of dressage. I am also a Gestalt psychotherapist with a particular interest in working with developing awareness of how my clients embody their emotional and psychological patterns. Biography I’m an accredited Feldenkrais practitioner and have been teaching sport, fitness and movement since 1986. I also have an Msc in Clinical Gestalt Psychotherapy. As an internationally qualified ski instructor and ski instructor coach, I taught in Europe, New Zealand and USA. Returning to London I worked as a personal trainer and was one of the first to incorporate Pilates into my training methods. Many of my clients were very fit but I was always looking for something that would take them further. Despite daily strengthening and stretching regimes and regular osteopathic and physiotherapy treatments I found that their progress was often hampered by niggling injuries and chronic stiffness. Only when I came across the Feldenkrais Method did I make the connection that stretching, strengthening or manipulation were not the key. As I incorporated the Feldenkrais Method into my training my clients started to recognise for themselves how the way they moved could cause injury and interfere with their ability to reach their goals. Through the lessons they learned how much excess effort they put into everything they did, not only in sport but also daily activities. They started to notice surprising and unexpected improvements in their coordination. Many reported an increased sense of physical comfort and ease. I decided to embark on the 4 year Feldenkrais Training which I completed in 2002. I completed my Masters in Clinical Gestalt Psychotherapy in 2016.
