We have been a plumbers association since 1925 and represent large plumbing and heating companies working on commercial projects, to sole traders working in domestic properties. The Enterprise Support Alliance is a not for profit business. This means that any money earned by the business has to be reinvested in our work. The Enterprise Support Alliance is an Enterprise Agency, a member of the National Enterprise Network and has Academy Status from the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE). Our roots are in the East of England and we are keen to continue to build on the extensive and excellent relationships we have in place. Our ambition is not however restricted to the East of England as we are keen to develop new and exciting relationships with professionals across the UK. The Alliance is led by Pat Smith who has a long term track record of leadership across the East of England. Pat is supported by 3 fellow shareholding Directors and our team of specialist colleagues. Pat is best known for his work as Chief Executive of Business Link East. Pat has led organisations providing services in every Local Authority area, and to over 100,000 people a year across the East of England, on issues such as business support, international trade, inward investment and skills development. Our activities include: Delivery of business support activities to fulfil our ambition Building a collaborative network of like-minded people and organisations who want to get involved in delivery of projects. Fitology Hub began in 2016, training one client at 5am on Hilly Fields. As word spread, more and more women signed up and the positive feedback we got made us realise we had something really special to give. So we decided to trade in our freezing cold mornings for something more permanent. While we were researching where to set up shop, we couldn’t believe that there was nothing of the kind already in Brockley, considering the wealth of businesses providing most of the crucial things needed in life - such as good coffee! We consider having an amazing training space as just as important as that. Unit 5 of the Brockley Cross Business Centre was Fitology Hub’s first home, big enough (just) for one client, Suzanne and our dog Bosco, a tiny puppy at the time. In less than a year, it was clear that we needed a bigger space as new members walked through our doors wanting to explore strength training. Unit 43 is the well-loved, warm space that we landed in. Today, we are proud to be a local business that works with women of all ages and from all walks of life. We offer something more personalised than a gym so that our members can access strength and fitness training, from female coaches who understand the barriers to exercising, as well as the benefits. We believe that by changing the way women experience ‘the gym’, we can help make an impact, not only on our member's lives, but also on the world of fitness. The organisation is independent and neutral, dedicated to addressing real business and regulatory issues impacting multi-asset trading in global markets through standardisation, delivering operational efficiency, increased transparency, and reduced costs and risks for all market participants. Central to FIX Trading Community’s work is the continuous development and promotion of the FIX family of standards, including the core FIX Protocol messaging language, which has revolutionised the trading environment and has successfully become the way the world trades. As an industry-driven organisation, all FIX Trading Community initiatives are pursued in response to market participant requests. This work is organised through a global network of committees, subcommittees and working groups that attract colleagues, peers and competitors who work together in a collaborative manner, free from commercial conflict, and in a way rarely witnessed in the capital markets to address core industry challenges. These efforts are supported by a small team of resources based in New York, Hong Kong and London. FIX Trading Community was previously known as FIX Protocol Ltd (and this remains its full legal entity name). Since its launch in 1998, the organisation has achieved tremendous success, developing and encouraging adoption of the FIX messaging standard. However, in recent years, whilst the continuous enhancement and promotion of FIX has remained a core goal, the organisation was also successfully leading work exploring how other non-proprietary, free and open standards could effectively support evolving needs. This led to the belief that the existing brand, no longer truly reflected the many ways in which the organisation supports the industry, nor the countless opportunities that actively participating in this vibrant community presents. The result of which was the decision to rebrand the organisation as FIX Trading Community in August 2013.

Martin has an degree in agriculture from Wye College, University of London. He then taught for 16 years at Writtle College specialising in financial management, agricultural trade, EU policy and business strategy. Martin also established a series of projects to link the College with other EU states to facilitate staff and student exchange, joint course delivery and the delivery of EU funded projects. He has taught short courses in Finland, the Netherlands and Romania. He continues to work closely with the education sector and now gives guest lectures on food markets and policy at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing at the University of Lincoln. Martin co-founded an import business in 1990 which he sold in 1999 and was a partner in the family farm J A Collison and Sons from 1994-2008 which supplies cut flowers to supermarkets. He founded Collison and Associates with Lynn in 2002, having been a consultant since 2000. His clients have included a wide range of commercial, public and third sector bodies and he specializes in developing strategies, projects and programmes to deliver change in rural areas. During 2012-13 Martin worked alongside the team developing the UK Agri-Tech Strategy. Martin is a member of: Greater Lincolnshire Food Board, Greater Lincolnshire Water Management Board, Norfolk Rural Development Strategy delivery group and the CLA’s Agriculture and Land Use Committee. He was Vice Chair of the Fens Adventurers Leader RDPE Group (2010-‘13) and is Chair of the Cambridgeshire Fens Leader group (2015-2020). He leads the Communications and Engagement work of Water Resources East (WRE). As well as his Higher Education, consultancy and business experience Martin was a Principal Examiner for ‘A’ Level applied business for AQA from 2000-’13 following previous work as an examiner for City and Guilds and Edexcel. We want you to be able to write what you want in business emails and reports. We want to take you to the next level in your Business English. How will we do this? It’s simple. Using our virtual classroom and working together with you, we will customize the one to one course of your choosing. We have English Presentations, Business English, English Job Interview, English Resume Writing, Business Correspondence, and English Writing courses. All you need to do is go to the registration page and sign up. The courses will be online using our Virtual Classroom, in which we will be able to use a whiteboard, share documents and files, watch videos, and review presentations in real time. The classroom has real time two way video and audio where we will be able to see and hear each other. The screen size of the video feed that we see can be adjusted at any time. The online classroom allows me to upload Microsoft Office files and You Tube videos that we can use, study, and watch during the class. These are things that cannot be done in online language teachings through Skype. In the virtual classroom we can do many of the things that can be done in a real classroom without leaving our homes or offices. To start with we will have a free first session where we will have a discussion between yourself and myself to determine what it is you want to learn. Also, you will get an explanation of how I propose to teach you. During this session we will also work on some of the English problem areas that you have identified and we will have a chance to discover other English weaknesses that you may have. As I pointed out at the start of the paragraph this session will not cost you anything, and it will last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your learning and course requirements. The main Business English courses that I offer are: English for Job Interviews, English for Presentations, English for Business Correspondence (writing emails), Resume Writing, Business English, English Writing, and a General English Course. These courses can be modified to meet your needs. They can also be combined into one course in different proportions. They can be flexible for the number of hours, the content, the scheduling, etc. The courses can also be flexible in regard to postponing a scheduled course.
