The company was established in Welshpool, Powys, in 1995 as a subsidiary of Mid Wales Tourism to deliver vocational skills that supported the development of the region’s tourism sector. Named after the famous Cambrian Mountains that rise through the heart of Wales, it was the communities, people and businesses within the region that was at the heart of what Cambrian Training was all about. With a decline in agriculture and rural depopulation, vocational training and re-skilling were a priority to help strengthen the economic opportunities in rural Wales. Enviable track record It gained an enviable reputation throughout the UK for delivering high-quality training and development programmes that in turn supported the growing tourism sector. In 2002, a management buy-out saw the organisation become an independent company, led by an experienced team committed to maintaining its base in Mid Wales while expanding geographically.

Outdoor Learning and Adventure Activities with Outfit Moray charity  Outfit Moray is an outdoor learning and adventure charity in Moray and aims to make a difference to the lives of others, by actively developing the potential of young people, their families and communities, through accessible, affordable outdoor learning and adventure: encouraging life skills and improving physical and mental health.  They run a programme of activities during the school holidays, but can take private bookings when they have capacity.  Activities are generally for ages 8+ but we can also run team building or corporate days.  We can also deliver bespoke first aid training courses in Moray (and beyond).  For more information visit www.outfitmoray.com/first-aid-training [//www.outfitmoray.com/first-aid-training]  The income from these courses is reinvested into delivering our outdoor activities for young people in Moray.

Torbay Sea School is an established and professional RYA training centre based in the picturesque South Devon fishing port of Brixham specialising in providing customers with a high standard of training, making sure they gain their qualifications with confidence, whilst having fun as they learn. We offer a large variety of courses ranging from basic introduction to sailing and powerboat, up to the full RYA Yachtmaster qualification, along with a number of shorebased courses and experience days. Torbay Sea School is owned and managed by Duncan Bridgnell who has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

A very warm welcome to Valley College, situated on Ewood Campus. I am delighted to be Head of Valley College , an educational environment which is focused on its mission statement 'Preparation for Adulthood, Citizenship and Employment' (PACE). It is so important to ensure all learners gain the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives, and become informed, active and responsible citizens in society. Having been appointed as Head of Valley College and Ewood Campus in September 2021, I would like to share some information about the provision for Valley College learners. Valley College learners are supported by skilled and familiar staff and alongside their advocates, create a bespoke individualised pathway to ensure future aspirations are achieved. Learners are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of the college and their communities. Learners have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing into adulthood. Within Valley College, learners are able to develop new skills and access the community, and sessions are focused on preparing learners for adult life. Valley College ensures all learners leave with relevant qualifications (if appropriate) and gain their desired aspiration destination. We work together with our learners to increase their independence, so they can take more control over their lives. Valley College is a friendly place where learners can develop interests and gradually gain the skills and confidence they need to move on to the next stage of their lives, preparing them for adulthood, citizenship and employability.
