The Bulwell Academy

the bulwell academy

I am delighted to welcome you to The Bulwell Academy. I am proud to have been given the opportunity of leading this school into its next era of education in Nottingham. We are committed to making The Bulwell Academy the academy of choice, where all students and staff feel proud and privileged to attend. Our core values for our children are aspire, work hard, be kind. We will encourage and remind students regarding these values at every opportunity. We are developing a community in which young people understand the importance of academic achievement alongside their own personal development and being accountable for their own actions and decisions as they contribute to the wider community in many positive ways. It is our vision to ensure every student develops a strong sense of optimism, confidence, and self-belief. We want to ensure all students believe in themselves, have the confidence to aim high, excel in everything they do, and go on to lead happy and successful lives. A calm and orderly environment in school creates the conditions for children to thrive and do well academically and personally. We make no apology for having the highest of standards for everything that we stand for: the highest standards of education, the highest standards of pastoral support. And that work is well underway. Our academic outcomes in 2022 firmly placed The Bulwell Academy as the most improved school in Nottingham. We are proud to be part of the Creative Education Trust, and to work collaboratively with our colleagues in other schools, sharing best practice to further enhance the local offer. This is one of the benefits of being part of such an excellent, forward-thinking Trust. This collaboration will continue to bring many benefits to Bulwell children in the form of providing an extended ‘education with character’, enhancing opportunities for competition, offering wider experiences and broadening horizons.

The King's (The Cathedral) School

the king's (the cathedral) school

Peterborough

Our long history and exceptional achievements are things of which we are all extremely proud. We are convinced that pupils of all abilities will thrive in our challenging, supportive and friendly environment. The care we take over promoting wellbeing is at the heart of this academic success. Excellent examination results are important, but not enough. Our aim is to encourage pupils to be balanced individuals, happy in their own success, and confident enough to give their full commitment to all that they do. The individual’s wellbeing, we believe, is rooted in a confident sense of who they are. This confidence and sense of value grows as a child experiences the benefits of contributing to School teams, in orchestras or, perhaps, as a key member of a production. It is through such contributions that a child discovers how to belong, as well as feeling confident about their contribution to their wider community. In this way your sons and daughters will learn not only to take advantage of the vast array of opportunities that are available at The King’s School, but also to lead full, rewarding and balanced lives. In our Cathedral School, mental health and wellbeing is at the heart of all we do. We seek to nurture a sense of belonging to our extended family, in which every member is valued. We do all we can to support every child, and adult, at The King’s School and to treat them as an individual, capable of making a unique, distinctive and valued contribution. Our goal is that, by the time your child leaves us they, and their family, will have enjoyed the reward of being a part of a ‘Family Achieving Excellence’. Such a welcome awaits every child, and family, that joins us and we ask that your sons and daughters will respect alternative views, show empathy and compassion, and develop an understanding of their own beliefs as well as the beliefs, and values, of others.

The Training Rock

We provide leadership training which catapults your results because when your leaders thrive, so does your business. The difference between a collaborative leadership team who actively develop their people and a leadership team full of individuals competing for status, will show starkly on your bottom line. Our leadership training results in transformed employee engagement, reduced staff turnover and creates cultures that people WANT to be a part of. Leadership Training, Lewes, East Sussex Leadership Training, Lewes, East Sussex Leadership Training, Manchester Leadership Training, Manchester How skilled are your leaders? Are your leaders in their role because they were brilliant at doing ‘the job’ and so they got promoted to leading people who do ‘the job’ and suddenly find themselves in a role which requires a completely different set of skills? Does your workplace culture genuinely reflect your company values? Nobody said effective leadership is easy. But equipped with the right tools, a safe space to practise and a solid understanding of what you’re out to achieve, it IS achievable. We specialise in delivering awesome, transformative, engaging leadership training which will equip your people to become leaders their team actually WANT to work for. OUR USP We use our TRAIT test to hold up a metaphorical mirror Our unique TRAIT test uncovers your default behavioural traits; both those which serve you well and those which are getting in yours and others’ way. We’ll shine a light on your blindspots so that you can see what everyone has been noticing for months… We use animal avatars to represent the nine main behavioural traits which we see time and time again. Competitive Cheetah, anyone? Or maybe more of the conflict avoiding Ostrich? The TRAIT test will introduce you to your own animal influencers. We’ll then show you how to get the best out of them AND how to most effectively interact with people with different traits to you. THAT’s when the magic begins.

Dyslexia School Search

London

I think it is very important for clients to understand my background. I am first and foremost the mother of three children, one of whom, my daughter, is very dyslexic. I know from first-hand experience the pain, frustration and loneliness of being the parent of a bright child who is totally failing academically and for whom there is very little support from the teaching world. I was fortunate, in that I was working in the world of education when my daughter was diagnosed, and even more fortunate that one Headmaster out of many approached was “willing to have a go”. The final outcome for us was successful with a daughter gaining both GCSEs, A Levels and eventually after a huge amount of effort on her part a degree in the subject that she was determined to study. The outcome for other children with dyslexia and other SpLD needs is not always so successful. Having travelled extensively both in Europe, China, Korea, Japan, the Gulf States and Africa recruiting students for boarding in the United Kingdom, it has become apparent to me that although there are some exceptionally good international schools, many of them have limited resources to help children with dyslexia. For more information please look at the case studies page. Not only do they have limited resources in their learning support departments, often a fast turnaround in teachers, and importantly often the child’s stay in any one school is relatively short dependent on the parents posting, in addition the size of the school plays a significant role for children with SpLD needs. A dyslexic child often has issues of anxiety, and a large school with in many cases a school population in excess of 1000 students can have serious implications for these children. Children with dyslexia need more than most continuity of care and education, without it they are unlikely to thrive.

Anna K Health Coaching

It brings up many aspects of myself that I had kept hidden for a long time. But, today I’m more open and in a place where I actively work on my body and mind. Health to me is true wealth and this comes from a place of committing to my physical, mental and emotional self. Also, now being a coach and supporting others in their process brings me so much joy because I know how challenging it can be, feeling stuck as though your body, mind and life are working against you. I went through many stages of uncovering the root cause of my health issues and worked through many body, mind and soul practices to heal what was holding me back from living a full life mentally and physically each day. Here’s some insight into my story. Supporting other women As I learned about the power of foods, mind body connection and holistic health techniques, my burning desire to continue learning and to share that knowledge. Enrolling on a Naturopathic healing course in 2018 was one of the best decision of my life. It was liberating to re-learn about the human body as well as ancient practices and healing techniques which have been overwritten by modern day big pharma and food corporations who prioritise profits over people. This empowering experience led me to put myself into self-experimentation mode of trying different foods, protocols, and practices. I managed to re-wire my body and mind, resetting it back to what it was originally designed to do - THRIVE! This has been the most exhilarating experience of my life, bringing me ‘back to me’ and feeling freedom in my mind and body. Now in my late 30's I feel more alive than I ever have. My perspective on life is infectious on those closest to me and I pride myself on how far I have come.
