Education and Employers is a UK based charity launched in 2009 which aims to“provide young people with the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential”. The charity believes that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, should have the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers and hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work. To help make this happen the charity works with state schools, employers, the national bodies that represent them and a wide range of other partners including the government and third sector organisations. Its flagship service, Inspiring the Future, uses innovative online match-making technology to connect schools and colleges across the country with tens of thousands of volunteers working in different sectors – for free. These volunteers, from a huge range of jobs – from app designers to zoologists, and at all levels – from apprentices to CEOs, have signed up to share their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm about their jobs with young people. The charity’s research has shown that meeting people from the world of work helps to broaden young people’s horizons, raise their aspirations and increase motivation to learn which leads to improvements in attainment. It also helps tackle the ingrained stereotypical views children often have about the jobs people do based on their gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background. People can volunteer from an hour a year in a local primary (Primary Futures) or secondary school to chat informally, either in person or virtually, about their job and career route, take part in career speed networking sessions, give young people careers insights, mock interviews or feedback on CVs. There is also the opportunity to link up with schools for workplace visits, job shadowing, and mentoring. Tens of thousands of volunteers have enabled over two million interactions between volunteers and young people to date. Inspiring Governance launched in 2016 and is funded by the Department for Education. The free matching service connects highly skilled volunteers who wish to become governors or trustees with state schools across England, helping to increase the diversity of governing boards and raise school standards. Education and Employers also undertakes research into the effectiveness of employer engagement in education. It aims to bring together academics, researchers, policymakers and practitioners from around the world to consider what interventions have most impact.

Through this building we aim to :- Reduce financial, social and digital exclusion through training opportunities and social opportunities through its library and community café. Redesign the gardens and grow our own vegetables and create a woodland adventure and help educate a better way of eating to aid the poverty situation that is arising. Support young and unemployed people into quality local jobs at both the John Summers site and further into the community. Provide a sustainable hub for the community, local business and the third sector to meet and collaborate and work on joint projects. To create a museum that celebrates the vast History of the Area that will educate those that follow on the Heritage of the Area and its manufacturing legacy. To create a STEAM environment that is open for all where families, individuals and young people can learn together in their own time and pace.

Inova has been running since 2001 and provides consultancy services, training and coaching programmes in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, career development and wellbeing, with a focus on diversity and equal opportunities. We work with a wide target group for which we provide a variety of training and support programmes. Much of our work focuses on supporting those who are under-represented or who face challenges to fulfil their potential, and many of these are co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Our funded programmes have helped many of those who are most vulnerable, including migrants, NEET young people, older people and women who have been victims of violence, trafficking, homelessness or abuse, to name a few. We have worked extensively with entrepreneurs, artists and women in non-traditional fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM). Our director, Marina Larios, is president of WiTEC, the European Association of Women in SET. Our programmes use coaching and mentoring to support individuals to develop their ‘soft skills’, build confidence and self-efficacy and reflect on and achieve their goals. Our in-house trainers have over 50 years of experience between them and can provide one to one coaching, workshops and Enterprise/Career/Mentoring and Mindfulness Circles™. To deliver the major infrastructure programmes and rail modernisation initiatives planned across the UK, the engineering workforce needs a greater number of talented people, with a different blend of skills, and from more diverse backgrounds. Our mission as an organisation is to produce a new generation of highly skilled professionals from a range of communities, changing what the rail industry looks like with new segments of the UK joining Britain’s rail, transport, and infrastructure workforce. Accessible from levels 3 to 6, our curriculum offer is for ages 16 and above, and includes part-time and full-time courses, as well as apprenticeships. One of our values at the college is pioneering excellence, and we strive to achieve this by utilising the best technology and facilities available – with over £9 million of specialist kit and equipment donated to us by our employer partners. Industry collaboration is integral to our success, and NCATI has benefitted significantly from engaging with leading sector employers like HS2, Honeywell, and Alstom. The story of Hadith of the Day (HOTD) began in 2009 with the simplest of visions: How to make Muslims connect and fall in love with their faith using the latest technology available which they use on a daily basis.The aim was to showcase and promote the beauty of Islam to a truly universal audienceFor people to be inspired by sacred text and by real life experiences of people whose lives were changed forever due to the sheer inspiration our beautiful faith offers. We wanted to make inspiration the footprint for our vision, and so the HOTD journey started, like many other success stories with humble beginnings. We started with one person, a piece of blank paper and a simple idea of the time was 1st July 2009. INSPIRING MILLIONS Our mission statement is to inspire. We inspire our members with daily drops of inspirational and educational knowledge. We have been endorsed by some of the world’s leading scholars such as Mufti Ismail Menk, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Shaykh Yusuf Badat, Shaykj Omar Sulemain, Yasmin Mogahed and many more.When we first started we had 100 members on our Facebook Page. Within 6 months we had 500,000 and in less than a year we had 1 million members. We’re now at over 15 million and growing Alhamdulillah. CONNECTING OUR GLOBAL UMMAH The strength of social media is that it connects millions of Muslims from different parts of the world together. With the generosity of one of our members, HOTD sent 10 members on an all expenses paid trip to Makkah and Madinah. Only low-income families were permitted to enter and when we made the phone calls to the winners, every single person broke down in tears. Some of the people who won could not afford applying for a passport so our donor also covered those costs.
