NIST National School of Sciences is a premier education institution, which was established in 1993. It is situated at Lainchour, strategically important location in the Kathmandu valley, and is one of the constituent institutions under the NIST Foundation. The school has been conducting Plus 2 programme (Grade 11 – 12), now Upper Secondary school classes, both in Science and Management for the last three decades. The school follows the national curriculum under the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal. The school management is planning to introduce other courses in Law, Arts and Humanities in Grade 11–12 in the near future while the ultimate goal is to provide the continuum of education from Pre–school to Grade 12 under the National School of Sciences within the next few years. The NIST Foundation was initiated by a group of scientists and academicians. The core objectives were to establish academic institutions, and to provide students with quality education focusing primarily on science and technology so as to promote the science education in the country. At present, there are nine academic institutions including the National School of Sciences under the NIST Foundation, and they run classes from Pre–school to university level at different locations. The school has always emphasized the academic excellence of students and fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration. As a result, our students graduate with outstanding performance in the board examinations every year. Today, many of its alumni are engaged in the highly regarded professions and businesses within the country and abroad. Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled annually in the Science and Management Stream. The students are drawn from different provinces, diverse culture and ethnicity allowing them to engage in intercultural understanding and to experience a rich learning. The school provides students with ample opportunities to engage in co–curricular and extra–curricular activities that ensure their holistic development which enables them to succeed not only in higher education but in life as well. We are a small family firm started by Albert Nightingale in the 1970’s when NFS quickly became well known across the Cambridgeshire Fen, Peterborough and surrounding area. Albert had over 20 years experience when he started the firm and continued until the mid 2000’s when he decided to retire. His son Patrick Nightingale, himself a trained agricultural engineer & experienced welder, took over the reins and the company is continuing to build on the original legacy, with its reputation for quality, reliability and delivery of all work undertaken Albert remains an active member of the Peterborough Farm Machinery Preservation Society having been one of the founder members. Patrick has continued with the tradition and he is himself too, an active member of the Society. Albert has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge & experience by both working on other peoples agricultural equipment as well as his own (pictured right exhibiting his own 1930’s John Deere B Series, at the East of England Show) Whereas Patrick completed his apprenticeship with Baker Perkins, going onto work for a renowned Cambridgeshire firm of Agricultural Engineers before joining Railway industry to add to his skills base as an experienced Welder. He has always had a special affinity with metal and welding, coupled with a perfectionist nature has resulted in a truly remarkable workman who prides himself in his work to the very high standards he sets himself Nightingale Farm Services is a small family firm who pride themselves on working together, doing the best they can to support the delivery of a quality restoration for you the customer. We are able to receive orders from all over the world without the minimum order quantity of 1 or 1000 pieces Because we focus on customer satisfaction we have no minimum order limitation. Our aim is to continue our business regardless of any Quantity. Our aim is that all our customers the product or products that they have purchased to send in a flawless and fast manner, to do not embarrass ourselves and our customers against anyone. As production capacity, we give 3 or 4 weeks term time for high-volume orders. We prepare a sample on the computer according to the colour, printing and dimensions after the confirmation of customers we prepare a real sample if it is approved after send it, we are going to serial production. We check our production line every two or three years and replace it with new ones, if we have an old one. We participate the fairs, investigating new machines, new technologies and if there is a new technology, we include it in our production line the and we continue umbrella production. Turkey is one of the strongest countries in the production of printing types and fabrics. That’s why we do not have much problem with fabric and printing. Our customers, whatever printing they want, we can find a solution. First of all we prepare a drawing sample on the computer, after the confirmation we prepare a real sample. We have six different umbrella models. These are Rope System Umbrella, Magnet System Umbrella, Telescopic System Umbrella, Manual Telescopic Umbrella, Crank System Umbrella, Side Pole Umbrella. After we have learned how our customers will use the umbrella, we will first hold a meeting with our colleagues on this subject, then decide which products are useful, long-lasting and economical for them, and then we present them as two or three models.

The Bath Festival Orchestra is the future of classical music. Our aim is to take classical music to diverse audiences in overlooked communities, by turn inviting them into some of the world’s finest concert halls to contribute, listen, see, feel and enjoy the exquisite music that has been and will be written for the orchestra. We are committed to innovation in the area of enhanced live performance, harnessing the creative possibilities of augmented reality, virtual reality and hologram technology. We will experiment with and explore new scientific capabilities to advance musical dialogue in the streaming and broadcast arenas. Founded in 1959 by Yehudi Menuhin, the Bath Festival Orchestra has long been established as the beating heart and resident ensemble of The Bath Festival. Our reach is now international, having used the power of digital media and technologies to establish ambitious collaborative projects for worldwide audiences. Collaboration, access to music at every level, and cross-genre collaboration, are values of our Founder and remain interwoven into the orchestra’s identity and work. We relaunched during the Covid-19 pandemic, in a move indicative of our devotion to offering opportunities for all, and amplifying engagement in the arts. We are flinging open the doors to classical music, providing open access at every level. We are led by a dedication to seeing our audiences and musicians reflect the society we live in – to truly diversify the socio‐demographics of our industry. Our first engagement, following our relaunch, was an education project to give young people access to the best music training in schools. We are equally at home here as we are when connecting with audiences at live events, from those held at the recently refurbished Bath Abbey to those at the renowned Badminton House. We are looking forward to sharing our plans for 2021-22 in the coming months.

The Film and Video Workshop is an educational charity founded in June 1997 by Simon Oatley. Our objective is the education of adults, children and young people in the art of film, video and other types of media. We aim to work particularly with those people who are in need by reason of disability, age or economic circumstance. The company has grown steadily since its formation and is now the largest producer of child and young people directed moving image work in the United Kingdom. Many of the films we have helped produce have been shown in international film festivals and some have won prestigious awards. Each year we work with approximately 1000 film makers and produce some 300 films. Past clients include Tate modern, Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery, Arts Council, Film London, Film Council, Skillset, Cartoon Museum, Learning and Skills Council, Tribal Education, London Development Agency, ten of the London councils, BBC, Channel 4 and Nickelodeon. Recent premiere screenings have been held at the London Imax Cinema and the Odeon West End. In addition we provide adult training, specialising in the creative use of digital technology. The current courses selection includes four video production courses, stop motion, animation techniques, after effects, Avid and FCP. We subsidise a selection of introduction courses to enable people to start filmmaking as well as provide CPD for professionals. All our courses have a 40% reduction for concessions. The media centre is open 6 days a week with over 80 weekly users. The company is managed by an unpaid board of directors to whom we are very grateful for their long standing support.
