In that time I’ve pretty much done it all in training. I’ve facilitated over 10000 delegates in face-to-face sessions, won an award from the department of health for eLearning and of late, I’ve been providing train-the-trainer consultancy to existing NHS training teams to improve their face to face, remote delivery and eLearning training methods. I’m Lisa, for many years I was the National Retail Office Manager of a clothing company until the lockdown forced redundancy. As Chris often receives multiple offers of work, I decided to help out Chris with eLearning projects and have completed two large projects for Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust and was made the preferred supplier of all eLearning by the Trust. Like Chris, I make sure I complete an online course every week and keep my skills up to date.

chameleon theatre arts

The dance school was started in 1987 by Jackie Cox, Louise Ringshaw took over the dance school in December 2004 and in December 2005 decided to rename the school to Chameleon Theatre Arts. The name was chosen by Louise to represent the performer, as she felt is described appropriately how performers must adapt to new environments, dance and performance styles. At Chameleon, we aim to train students to become good all-around performers, adaptable to space, social situations, teaching them life skills as well as strong technique, fun show work and graded qualifications (with the Association of American Dancing). We are well known for our confidence-building skills also! Many of the students have gone on to Perform or to teach with the encouragement received from teachers at the school.

Over the past decade I have taught in a variety of different settings; inner city state, depths of the countryside, abroad and in London’s top private schools heading up the 11+ process. I have a wealth of knowledge about how children learn and have the skills to engage even the most reluctant of learners. I believe educating the future generation is a privilege. We as teachers hold the torch to inspire young minds on a daily basis. My style of teaching is based on research, experience and instinct. I am continuously reinventing the curriculum to engage every type of learner however, my deeper passion lies not just to curate minds to pass exams, but to be curious, passionate learners for life. I am dedicated to helping others find the confidence to want to chase their interests; to be able to express and communicate themselves in the demanding work place and provide your child with the emerging variety of life skills they now need. Hayley's School of Dance opened in 2008 offering ballet and tap lessons on a Wednesday night but quickly grew. The Wickford dance school is well established now offers: Ballet, Tap, Commercial, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theatre, Character, Jazz and Singing. The overall dance programme combined with Hayley's innovative and friendly teaching methods where each child is focused on individually helps a child reach their full potential. In addition to dance, HSD offers a friendly environment to build children's confidence and make life long friendships. Each class offers a different value to a child, be it an after school hobby or a platform for a future career. The dance school also compete's in competitions (Winning Best Dance Act 2015 in Essex) and offers many performance opportunities at locations like the Royal Albert Hall, The 02 and Her Majesty's Theatre to name but a few. 2017 will also see the children performing on Broadway at the New York Town Hall Theatre. Hayley's School of Dance are FYD national champions in contemporary, while Anais Mejias holds the best young choreographer award in Essex. The schools soloists hold many national titles competing at various competitions throughout each year.

Little Yoga Studio aims to empower children and adults, in mind and body, through a fun, creative and inspiring approach to yoga. My children’s classes focus on exploring a child’s natural flexibility. Improving their own strength and poise, while helping them nurture a strong sense of self and awareness of others. The journey isn’t dissimilar with my adult classes. With each class, we work on bringing inner harmony through movement, breath and meditation. Uniting the body, mind and spirit to awaken our true Self. My teaching journey began shortly after the birth of my daughter. Having practiced yoga for 10 years, I found motherhood gave me a new perspective. Wanting to deepen my practice, I found myself taking to the mat in between my classes. And as I moved through poses or paused in meditation, I noticed her watching with curiosity. Before long she was on my mat, copying the poses and demanding more ‘mummy yoga.’ Soon she had her own mat (in her favourite colour, purple, of course) and we were practicing yoga together daily. Really I have her to thank for setting me on this path. As watching her little character flourish in our practices together has inspired me to share this with both little and bigger minds alike. My 200-hr training with Avani Yoga Academy and Yoga Bananas means I am now honoured to share the ancient practice of yoga in an authentic and heartfelt way to adults, children and families alike. Of course yoga is a lifelong journey that is forever evolving. I am honoured to continue my own discovery with a 50-hour Yoga Nidra Immersion with Avani Yoga Academy and Naomi Absalom’s 6-month Liberate mentorship, among others.

After graduating with a 2.1 BA Hons in Marketing and Business Studies, I qualified as a teacher and taught Maths, English, Music, Science and Business Studies in a Secondary State School. S6 Tutoring is a private limited company in the education sector, dedicated to tutoring and mentoring young people. The company is young and vibrant and is the choice for parents who want their children to maximise their academic potential. Our vision is to play a pivotal role in improving academic standards. The company provides an initial, honest, home assessment that will accurately evaluate a child’s need. Each tutor is CRB checked and has qualifications and experience relevant to the role.
