At Mindmaps Wellbeing, our vision is to change the culture of workplace mental health we believe all organisations have acces to training, to address the needs for themselves, their staff and customers alike. To achieve this we offer a range of mental health related training and consultancy services to ensure employers are mental health aware in every aspect of their business. We seek to challenge the stigma and discrimination in the workplace related to mental health issues. Encouraging employers to create an open, and supportive culture. Evidence shows that staff feel more confident discussing their mental health among their peers and with their employer once they have received some training & understanding of the changing culture. The main aim is to ensure that your workforce feel supported. Supported, happy staff are the most productive staff.

The length of any training course will depend on what type of machine is used, the environment it is used in & the experience of the candidates on the training course. 1-day refresher courses for experienced operators that haven’t had any training for at least a 3-5-year period (this is the time period recommended by the HSE to employers whereby staff need to be refresher trained, on all site equipment). 3-5-day courses: for novices who have not received any formal training and have no experience. All courses begin with theory sessions where candidates learn the theoretical background knowledge of the respective machine they are being trained on. This will include any relevant aspects of current UK statutory legislation, there will be a mandatory theory assessment at some point in the training. Practical training begins with an explanation as to the operation of the relevant piece of MHE equipment. Practical elements cover daily machine checks and safe operating techniques – candidates will then practice the operation of the machine until you become proficient, whereby a practical assessment will take place.

I have studied ballet since the age of four and as an adult, I always struggled to find classes that were tailored towards fitness and functionality that still held the beautiful movement and freedom of younger or vocational ballet classes. In addition, many traditional ballet exercises and positions are not as safe for adults. I developed Ballet Fusion to provide safe, effective fitness and flexibility training for adults of all ages and levels. Combining barre work, flexibility, strength and centre-work, Ballet Fusion is designed to promote a balanced, stronger body and increased fitness in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. All with the beautiful movements and freedom of expression of classical ballet. We know that adult exercise classes can be intimidating. For online classes you have the choice to turn your camera on so your instructor can see you or off so that no one can see you. All studio class exercises are carried out in groups. We don’t ask clients to perform any moves solo. Our teaching style is relaxed and friendly. We encourage attendees to ask questions, chat and laugh. Exercise should be enjoyable - it’s what keeps us coming back!

It recognises that there is a fundamental link between the wellbeing of the soil, food and habitat, and the mental and physical health of the people in and around the farm, making for a wonderful environment for a warm and effective mental health/wellbeing service for children and families. The Apricot centre is a CIC (not for Profit) founded in 2006 and aims to be financially self-sufficient.
