Working as a Beauty Therapist since leaving school and running a salon of her own, Christine has years of experience in the Beauty industry. Whilst training and managing her staff she realised that she had a passion to train others and raise the standards of training, so she decided to complete her PGCE, and moved on to work as an assessor in college. She did this for 13 years before leaving the college to teach in a private academy (where she worked with Tracy). Here she led the training in various brow and SPMU treatments. As the Head tutor here at The Beauty Hub, Christine teaches the majority of our courses. With her vast experience and knowledge you know you are in safe hands! Having taken early retirement, I am now ready for the new challenge of promoting the importance and love of cooking in the wider community and decided to join Cook Stars in order to further this goal. I just loved the name 'Cook Stars'. Cooking allows every child the opportunity to shine in their own unique way and I'm so excited to be running children's cooking classes. I instantly knew I needed to be involved in this business in order to create an abundance of 'stars' armed with essential life skills. Learning to cook is such an important life skill but unfortunately over the years less and less time has been given to this subject in the school curriculum and many children have not been able to experience what they should have. Cooking has never been more important than it is now with increased obesity rates, diabetes and other food related disorders. I am so excited to be able to contribute to improving a person's health and well-being through cooking. I am married with two children, both in their twenties. They have been away at university but still want to come home for some 'proper food'!! In my spare time I like to follow sport and I am a Cardiff City Season ticket holder. I also swim regularly and recently swam the length of the English Channel for charity. Holidaying somewhere hot is also a must!

Here at Moor Park we have one firm belief: that education transforms lives. As you may know, our sixth form is unique in the central Preston area as we offer the option for both A Level and BTEC courses in a small, safe environment with a maximum class size of 10 students. This means that our expert staff are able to get to know students well, provide them with 1-1 support and ensure they are both challenged and supported academically, so all students make excellent progress. Our smaller size also allows us to ensure that students maintain social distancing, whilst providing a full face-to-face teaching timetable. This means that students have access to specialist teachers full time and online learning is only used for homework or independent learning. Our Vision The Curriculum Department of Thabyay works for a future with: A society offering relevant and equal educational opportunities for all Active citizens with appropriate knowledge and skills to participate in the peaceful development of their communities and society Educasia’s Mission Educasia supports the development of post-secondary and adult education initiatives in Myanmar. Its focus is on non-formal groups working for positive social change and development. Thabyay’s Curriculum Department prepares and distributes contest-appropriate curricular materials and teacher training. It focuses on preparing adult learners from marginalized communities in Myanmar for effective participation in developing their communities, and for further education. The Curriculum Department currently operates two programs: Educasia works to support the development of non-government post-secondary and adult education initiatives in Myanmar. Educasia’s objectives include: Enabling students in post-secondary and adult education to develop the skills and knowledge required to participate effectively in the development of their communities, and pursue meaningful further education. Building the capacity of teachers in low-resource post-secondary and adult education to develop student-centered teaching skills and create active analytical learning environments. Supporting post-secondary and adult education programs, in both formal and informal settings, to develop and implement effective context-appropriate curricula and syllabi which prepare learners to participate effectively in the development of their communities, and pursue meaningful further education. The Curriculum Project’s objectives are broadly similar to Educasia, except that the program works with Myanmar populations (refugees, exiles, and migrants) based along Myanmar’s borders.

Where we started EBUKI started with a meeting, in 2007, of people and organisations interested in increasing and normalising earth in construction.
