The Alban Teaching School Hub is one of 87 designated school-led centres of excellence for teacher development. Teaching School Hubs are ambassadors for the world class delivery of new teacher development reforms in England. Our overall responsibility is to maximise opportunity and development to teachers at all stages of their development; this work is focused on the golden thread of teacher development from ITT to school leadership. The mission from the DfE is for Teaching School Hubs to lead evidence-based teacher development to empower teachers and school leaders and, most importantly, impact pupil outcomes. Our work is centred around these five pillars: Initial Teacher Training Early Career Framework National Professional Qualifications Appropriate Body Services CPD We have an established reputation as an outstanding ITT and teacher development provider and innovators of highly effective evidence-based CPD. Our work as a hub is integral to the implementation of the recruitment and retention strategy to raise teacher quality and effectiveness.
FOOD TEACHERS CENTRE is a UK based self-help group for secondary teachers founded by Louise T Davies in 2013 and supported by experienced volunteer associates. There are over 9,000+ active teachers in the group. It provides a platform to exchange best practice, give advice and support to less experienced teachers, answering practical concerns and keeping them abreast of the latest curriculum changes. It is a one-stop shop for like-minded professionals who seek help through authoritative and accurate information. I’ve been a fan for years. I come to workshops every so often to reconnect with fun, amazing and inspirational teachers. On the practicalities side, excellent location, beautiful changing rooms and showers certainly enhance one’s experience.
We want to share our passion for yoga with you. Our life together is built on our yoga practice. We both started practicing yoga in the early 1990s and met at a yoga class in 1999. Almost immediately after meeting we decided to give up our jobs and move to India to further our yoga studies. Whilst in India we got married, just nine months after our first meeting.
