This means that as a teacher and therapist I can maintain the integrity of what I teach without recourse to "branded" models of Pilates and Yoga. I work closely with Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and other Holistic Practitioners to provide a complete clinical referral system. PY Therapies Pilates Studio Having come to Pilates and Yoga more than 20 years ago via my own search for a rehabilitation programme following the births of my four children, I wanted to share this knowledge and provide a safe and nurturing environment where clients could exercise with dignity and improve their condition regardless of age or ability. The studio has been specifically designed and equipped to ensure comfort and safety as well as challenge you as you strengthen your body using, in the first instance, gentle yet powerful low range movement performed in alignment to address any issues and correct musculoskeletal imbalance. Therapeutic Pilates and Yoga Mat Bench classes are small (max 4) and are designed to teach concentration, control, centering, precision and slow, flowing movement in harmony with the breath to promote functional strength, improve posture and promote grace and balance. Each mat bench station (medical grade vinyl) has its own dedicated box of small equipment, which is sterilised after each use. Everyone is personally assessed by myself prior to taking part. In some cases, I may recommend one to one tuition in the first instance. Some of the services we offer include: Mat Bench Classes (max 4, small equipment). Duets, Trios and One to one personal training using larger equipment such as the Pilates Reformer, Pilates chair and Iyengar Yoga wall. Interactive live online classes and consultations. Ante and post-natal care are available to ensure you are in tip top condition to give birth and to assist return to fitness afterwards. Sports specific training to prevent and treat injury as well as enhance performance to ensure you derive optimum pleasure and results from your chosen sport. Carole Jacobs also delivers workshops designed to your requirements, corporate, teacher training or private. I am also a Reiki Master Practitioner and massage therapist and these therapies are also available to enhance your wellbeing and improve physical condition.

Kumon goes one step further by helping each child develop self-learning skills, enabling them to tackle challenging work without reliance on a teacher. Your local Instructor will set work for your child at just the right level, enabling them to build confidence in their abilities and progress their maths and English skills in small, manageable steps through daily study. Hello I am Karen Pasi. I have worked for many years as a dance teacher for adults and kids. I have a wealth of experience in teaching many different. I previously ran my own dance studios in Glasgow where we had a full timetable of classes with a team of great teachers. We also had a Cafe/Tapas bar where we ran Cabaret Shows and Dance Showcases with our Students and Professionals alike. In 2019 I felt it was time for a change and closed my studios. Now my focus is still on dance but I have also moved into an area which covers Mind, Body & Soul. I always felt dance touched on all these areas but now with Danceffirmations® I have had the opportunity to hone this class more strongly in that direction. There is a page for each style which I currently teach online and in person - Jazzfunk, Social Ballroom, Danceffirmations®, 10min Transffirm® and Private Lessons For Wedding Dances and small group classes.

Liz Cairns is a Psychodynamic Counsellor and Play Therapist who specialises in working with young people and their families. She leads the Counsellor training at HDS ( www.hds.scot ) and provides clinical supervision. Liz originally trained as a teacher changing direction after 12 years to work full time as a Counsellor initially in Social Work and then in the NHS. Over a period of 13 years she developed and managed the successful Youth Counselling Service for NHS Lanarkshire (CAMHS) before leaving to set up her own company. The YCS in Lanarkshire was the first to secure a Counsellor in every secondary school in the 40 plus secondary schools across North and South Lanarkshire.

I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2021, studying Seasonal Yoga, a style of yoga designed to align with the changing energies of nature, improving physical strength and flexibility, restoring balance and harmony, while reducing stress and giving an improved sense of well-being. My yoga classes include a range of techniques including physical movement and postures (Asana), breathwork, meditation, and energy work. Hello and welcome!  Following many years in the NHS as a senior nurse and educator I founded my company in 2012.  I support individuals, teams and organisations to communicate at their best with a particular interest in conflict, complaints and bringing compassion to life. Working with Scotland’s Ombudsman gave me a unique perspective about the emotional elements often associated with concerns and conflict. And from there I have developed a whole suite of resources to support us communicating at our best, managing conflict and caring for ourselves in the rich rollercoaster of life. I am an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh where I was awarded a Doctor of Science in 2020 for services to nursing.  I am still involved in some part time teaching.  I am also the Chair of North Edinburgh Dementia Care I remain a registered nurse and teacher. And continue to learn using a number of approaches including Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Mindful Self Compassion. I look forward to welcoming you on one of my courses.
