MDT includes: School Nurse, Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, CAMH’s clinician, Counselling and Play Therapists. All professionals meet regularly to ensure a joined up approach with each student they work with. At Penn Fields all students are encouraged to strive to be the best at what they do, whilst trying as hard as they can within all elements of Penn Fields school life. I AM YOGI is the story of wanting to build a yoga community. The company was co-founded by myself and Vittoria Manca. After practising yoga together for many years at various studios, we wanted to give it a go ourselves! In 2016, I decided to leave my career as a secondary school teacher and complete my yoga training in Goa, India. On returning, teaching in the local gym just wasn’t enough and the vision started to brew. The origins of I AM YOGI started in a space called ‘The Glasshouse’, which was essentially a conservatory on a pub car-park in Moseley. The weekly schedule started there. Wind the clock forward 18 months and the purpose-built wooden cabin that now stands in Moseley Park, was The Glasshouse re-envisioned. The cabin was constructed by a local carpenter and friend, Jim Jones along with many helping hands from parents, close friends, extended family and local stakeholders. Today, I have a dedicated team who work hard behind the scenes, from our CABIN CREW to our outstandingly dedicated TEACHING TEAM. The community that I AM YOGI serves and continues to create is special - and now even extends out into the virtual world since the pandemic! You can practice YOGA AT HOME with us from anywhere, anytime! The work we continue to do is for every yogi that continues to show up and practice with us.

The Aikido practitioner does not rely on muscle strength but concentrates the power of the whole body onto the weak point of an opponent, forcing him/her to cooperate using his/her own force and momentum. This attribute defines Aikido's effectiveness and beauty as a martial art. Several approaches to Aikido have evolved over the years. Today Aikido is found all over the world in a number of styles, with broad ranges of interpretation and emphasis. However, the core essential principles of the martial art remain consistent. WHY PRACTISE AIKIDO? Aikido is more than simply an efficient method of self-defense.
